Nice diversity of guest, its cool to hear a locals story of why he loves PH after also living abroad. Australia is the same with the over zealous rules that keep growing each year. The end result is being touted as a mass exodus of youth. There will be a contingency of wealthy that stay, there will also be a mass of extremely pissed off people that stay or too unfortunate to be able to leave.

Wow, i enjoyed this interview. This is a story where you can really say that GOD is good all the time and all the time GOD is good. You are soooo filipino now by the looks of it but also acts like one- relaxed, chilled , laid back and happy.. Happy for you but you have to be good to your family now as a show of gratitude to God.

He's right about China not being happy with the US bases right on their doorstep, how would the US like it if Mexico agreed to host Chinese military bases along the Southern border? China still remembers their 100 years of humiliation, maybe they think it's time to show them some respect?

Before the CCP rebranded the years of shame to “Years of Humiliation” as a tool to deflect foreign criticism, issues of corruption, bolstering its territorial claims and general economic and political rise, after all China has no legitimate claim of Tibet except to illegally exploit resources just like it would do to the PI. A CCP society that teaches its children to live in a state of perpetual butthurt, over the years of shame is an extremely sad way of existence.

Best interview yet. I cannot really identify with the police issues. I use to fear not coming to a full-stop. It felt like the police were just trying to bring money in. But, I have not been stopped by the police for thirty years. I do not even know where my vehicle registration is. My Filipina wife has peed in parking lots and where there are CCTV cameras. I do recall my having to pee badly with no place in miles to do it and being honked at by a passing vehicle. I wrote software to test devices being assembled in China. I had one manager in China who I wanted to punch in the face. He is now one of the few people I allow as a contact on my LinkedIn account. I had an assembly-line worker in China kick me off her computer because her break was over. 'Not sure if that is a pay thing or not. I trust the CCP about as much as I trust the American political establishment. I do not think they are greedy or evil, just possibly misguided and wrong. I hope common sense will rule. A rising tide floats all boats. 'Not sure about the proxy wars. Putin started the war in the Ukraine and, to my vague memory, Arab nations started the war against Israel. To the latter, the Jews kicked their butts without the help of America. The Iranians seem like great people. America tried to help in Iran but things just got worse.

We all can converse, but learning the American, UK British jargons are pretty foreign to out native tounge, basically Filipinos speak the correct english grammar better than an average American kid. Accentuations are of different subject much like foreigners trying to speak Tagalog with an accent that's not funny but very nice sounding. Most Americans makes fun of the Filipinos accent and for mispronouncing the letter F since we don't have letter F in our vocabulary. Let them sing and they can imitate and sounds pretty good. French accent is one of the best in this world.

China has a big interests in WPS in 2005, they have been allowed by our former president Gloria Arroyo to do joint seismic exploration in the WPS beds, there they have discovered billions of oil deposits present in the wps, aside from that the food resources derived from our territorial sea, knewing their polluted territorial river, wps is a great oppurtunity for them, all they have to do is to bully civilians in our own territorial sea then they can now exploit the resources in the wps, even the giant clams and corals are being destroyed, in addition they also want to dominate militarily the SCS, why would they create militarised artificial islands, and 10 dash line map, it is domination and resources of the wps that drive them crazy. I would like also to remind my kababayans if they decide to conquer and win the war in Taiwan, who do you think will be the next, since ,Batanes island is so near to Taiwan, what do you think might happen.

I'm a Fil-Am and already residing here in PH and still work for my US company remotely. My US tax is deducted from my wages every pay period. But since I'm not a dual citizen, ( I was born here in PH) I never pay my tax to PH government. Yes, me and my wife are retirees and I'm still working full time. Already getting our social security pensions from Uncle Sam. And yes again, our lives are much better here. We just visit our kids and grandkids back in the States once a year. America is not so great right now with this current administration….It’s best if you stay in the Philippines….ILLEGALS AND CRIMES ARE ALL OVER! I slept with my gun in case of a break-in! Gun Law where I live really sucks! Like, if someone breaks in into your home day or night and you’re sleeping upstairs and the intruder are downstairs, you cannot shoot them from upstairs, you need to be at the same place or level as the intruder otherwise if you shoot them (him/her) from the second floor, it’s your fault and you’re the one going to jail. So, stay in the Philippines and enjoy your life there. I can’t wait to move to Philippines!
