I had an alopecia areata flare several years ago and lost a good bit of hair around the back and sides of my head and I also had a large patch at the crown of my head. Thankfully it eventually grew back. I was starting to think about getting a wig. I hope it never flares again, it was upsetting.

Good to hear you had regrowth and it’s a good sign that it came back on its own. So if it happens again, try to trust that your hair will bounce back. If not, see your dermatologist 🙏🏼

@Kris Shue Hi. I am glad to know that you could overcome that :) I am diagnosed with Alopecia Areata, now i am 40 and have been loosing hair since age 25. But doctors could catch the cause very late :( I do not have hair on other parts of my body as well :( Can you please guide me how did you regrow ur hair ? Would be really obliged to u. Thanks :)

@@dee4844mzyou should start using rosemary essential oil in a carrier oil. For example castor oil (i find the best) or grapeseed oil ect. Give it a bit to see some growth, but it should slow the hair fall out shortly after using. I put mine in and leave overnight 2-3 times/ week. Good luck! I know its not easy😩🤗

@@danielsugaimd went to my dermatologist and he said it had resolved and was growing back in it's own. I am also worried it may come back but I'll take the words you wrote and remember that if it grew back before, I can trust my body to have it grow back again.

But doctors(my PCP and dermatologist) could catch the cause the reason very late after doing my scalp biopsy :( I do not have hair on other parts of my body as well :( My dermatologist is recommending me to take oral medication - OLUMIANT . She said earlier it was banned in USA and now in Aug, it got approved and hence I can take. She also explianed me about the side effects- Anti suppressing immune system. Can you please guide me, should I take this medication? Thanks Dr

The hair on my head started thinning significantly following an extremely stressful time in my life. So, I researched the net & opted to try the litttleextra coocoonion hair oil & neem wood comb. The results truly worked. At present, I have lengthy, dense, black hair which has grown down to my waist and cut off on three occasions since I started. Easy & effective. Additionally, equally effective can be rubbing the scalp - it encourages hair growth. You just must do this weekly. Before long, you will see short hairs starting to grow.

My daughter is 4, her dermatologist is one of the topical steroids and see ya later kind of guys. She’s lost so much hair since we started seeing him, and he told us the black dots on her scalp were hairs growing. But they are apparently cadaverized hairs. Can you do a video about that? I feel so defeated.

I got injections for 7 years. They worked for the first 6 and slowly stopped working. Last year it turned into alopecia universalis. 😞😢😢

My scalp, the crown area is thinning and have to use root spray even though I do t have any white or grey hair at age 44. 🤷🏻‍♀️ My part widened from wearing a tight hairstyle for over 20 years and no one, not even the women in my life warned me about that. 🤦🏻‍♀️

You feel awful for your patients having alopecia, yet you used air quotes around the word, ostensibly calling into question Jada. You do this because the word the media uses is alopecia and not alopecia areata, totalis, androgenic, etcetera. But your insistence on exact terminology, makes it appear as though you question her. She probably knows a more exact term for her condition, but she uses the simplified term of "alopecia" (as does the media) because it isn't well known. I am constantly being asked if I have cancer; it is rarely assumed that there could be something else. Your treatment of this topic is severely lacking in sensitivity.

I have PCOS, iron deficiency and I’m Perimenopausal. I have been losing my hair on the top of my head since September of 2020. I ended up having four iron infusions into March of 2021. I have tried things to at least stop it and nothing has worked. It’s very devastating. Now my blood platelets are too high and I have to go back to the hematologist. I’m wondering if all of these things combined are contributing to my hair loss?
