Destiny was my childhood... i grew up with this game since i was 12. I don't ever intend to leave this game, no matter how bad it gets.

Getting called out by the Neomuni for our go fast mentality hits different.

It may sound cliché, but I hope The Coallition goes on a reclaiming campaign across lore-known worlds: - Caiatl wants to retake Torobatl, and if that happens, we'll be there, it's everything but confirmed. - The few Riis-born Eliksni want to see Riis again(Eramis may come into play as a possible ally? After all, she deserted the Witness and went on to search for Athrys and Riis). - We know of the existance of a portal that leads to the Volantis system, where the Vex have constructed a Dyson Sphere, it was barely touched during Beyond Light, but we got Echoes coming right after FS, who knows. - We may see Fundament during our final fight against Xivu, Savathun may come into play too, maybe even Taox. - There's been the lore drop of a probe been lauched towards Lubrae, who knows what may come from that, maybe during the Fikruul episode. After all, Luke Smith said that this wasn't the end of D2, or Destiny as a whole. We've got in the Lore, the Golden Age, The Collapse, Dark Age, City Age, Age of Triumph and Post Red War Age. It's time for the Reclaiming Age to begin, both of Sol and beyond.

I want more lore bits of idle interactions between different species in the City. An Eliksni splicer helping repair his neighbors generator or some electronic. A massive Cabal legionary ordering an entire trough of spicy ramen at a restaurant.

I think we should help house light renovate riis reborn, it’s already on top of a human colony that could be rebuilt. Seems like a decent place to build a similar sized and multicultural place like the last city

A part of me wonders if the death of the witness would be the catalyst of something BIG.

Destiny has been a part of my life for basically all of it. since I can remember I have been involved in the world, from playing D 1 with my uncles watching the story through them, to finally playing D 2 for myself in the last few years. this story has been a constant in my life, and now it's ending. for good or ill it is coming to an end and I'm sad for it. I'm also hopeful, because I believe that the game has a bright future ahead of it, even if the story takes a completely new turn. regardless of what happens after the final shape, whether the game finally dies or persists yet again, it has been an absolute pleasure to watch it grow and develop throughout it's lifetime, and it has been an honor and a privilege to share it with all of you. this community has had it's ups and downs but it has consistently been a beacon of positivity and comradery. I'm proud to call myself a part of it, see you star side guardians.

I hope that if we get a Destiny 3, we get some kinda upgrades from the cöoudstriders. Imagine a upgrade tree were you can get something like increase jump height or melee damage with other buffs. Would be very cool.

After yesterday I had a feeling that it wouldn't be so great after listening to Osiris and Saint, but that could be only character specific.

I'm pretty sure the one Neomuni asking for Earth literature was Quinn Lagari. And the one who was talking about sharing technology might have been Sam Moleyn.

I love the Star Wars references because in the Cabal grimoire book, Calus’ psion scribes create a fake timeline of events where our guardian essentially becomes Darth Vader.

Really enjoyed this video! I think it's such a nice change of pace to see lore being written from humanities perspective, Would honestly love to see a new saga that's very rooted in this. At least while the next big threat looms in the background.

At first, I was wondering why Ciatal and her Ascencnecy aren’t included here. But then it hit me, after we retake Torrobaital, and find a way to cleanse (probably with the aid of Eris) it so she can rebuild her Homeworld, she may be busy light years away. Sure, the Canal and Neomuni may be able to grant us light speed travel, not just NLS anymore, so we can visits her when needed. But, I think she’ll continue to work with us, just from farther away. Plus, it may be good to have a pair of eyes further out beyond Sol. We don’t know what other new threats may lie beyond our system, or our own galaxy.

I found my best friends through this game. What started with grouping up in orbit over Venus preparing for the Vault of Glass had lead to grouping up in a pavilion preparing for my wedding. Destiny will always be a part of my life.

I am excited to see new factions show up. It would be for you to make a video speculating what ideals and factions are likely to form from the different groups. Like with the darkness defeated, I doubt a dead orbit faction we form, but rather a colonizing and expansionist faction.

Destiny has such a good story, it’s almost bittersweet to see it “end”. I hope we see a lot more post final shape rebuilding but that’s a stretch.

A new trio of Vanguard leaders post Final Shape. Crow, Osiris and Saint. In that conversation between Saint and Osiris they were saying that they may be taking command at the city while zavala and ikora go to the pale heart. I think it would be cool to have new leadership at the Vanguard. Sloane would've been a good replacement for zavala as well but since season of the Deep, her link with Ahsa and the fact she's part Taken I'm not so sure anymore

I like the idea of there being peace in the system for at least 100 years, and with the technology of Neptune humanity can settle faster than ever before. This can allow the foundries to move to planets to call their home. Like tex mechanica or wtvr its called moving to Mars. Omolon moving to titan and so on or wtvr. Then you could have a fallen city and foundry that specializes in tracking rounds on guns, and maybe a few lucent hive weapon Smiths making some cool hive guns for us. The time skip would work perfectly for destiny 3, because it'll better explain the lack of older weapons. And if we get hit with a new big bad too soon it'll just feel forced and less natural.

Great video. While watching, it got me thinking. After the witness, when we can supposedly turn our weapons into ploughs and begin rebuilding as one. What if that new empire or faction, or whatever you wish to call it, all come under one banner and that is the destiny tricorn, representing either humanity, elkisni and cabal, or even the 3 "sects" of humanity, earth, neomuna and awoken. Our final shape

I would love to see the unification and prosperity of the universe. Its always something that almost never happens in stories.

We’ve spent so much time fighting the greater evils trying to undo or prevent further apocalyptic events, that we never fully got to the part that makes most post-apocalyptic stories so compelling: the human intrigue. As soon as a Destiny TV show was hinted at, I hoped it would cover the human sides, with Guardians/Warlords for flavour. Whether it’s prior to the Golden Age, or the collapse itself, or just now, as a Guardian and their fireteam is systematically saving the solar system (since in the story, our Guardian is the one Hero of the Red War, etc)

I hadn’t read the lore from the grimoire cards and it seems like I’ve missed out. A Last City newspaper actually seems like an awesome idea that I’d never thought about before. Maybe it could be a more regular thing in game or out of game

I’m hoping our next era of Destiny is us reclaiming Sol, call it the Reclamation Saga and the goal would be to bring the second golden age. Feels like there’s a lot of cool ways you could go with that overarching theme.

At the end of all of this I think there needs to be a council of all species that help assign resources and aid to planets in the sol system for each faction. The cabal have no home so we will probably need to give them somewhere to live while eliksni and humans have shown they can work together but can they really live together? Idk but there’s more then enough room for everyone in the system so an era of actual peace would be really nice to see. While then as guardians we could start to reach out beyond the sol system and work to expand and protect what we have. Lots of story lines to interact and show.

I honestly Hope, At Some Point, We Get to Help Caital Reclaim Torrobatl (Or whats Left of it). And I REALLY want that to be a Mission.

My theory is that at the end of the campaign we get an after credit scene where we detect something in a neighboring star system. Then, we get a D3 that takes place in that new system fighting whatever new "big bad" we detected for the next 10 year saga

The last mission of Final Shape ends. The screen fades to black. Suddenly the screen starts coming into focus. You’re tied up in a horse drawn wagon. “Hey you, you’re finally awake.” Todd Howard you’ve done it again.

I want a storyline where the factions that left start their own city and we battle guardians on their side, it could be like a “new race” but it seems like a destiny 3 type of thing

I just thought about something. Our death has been cannon. If we die during this do we run into destiny 3 brand new everything... maybe some people as cabal, some as elyksni, some as normal humans and some as gaurdians just without the ghosts... or am i just insane and thinking to far into this...

I think the alliance is going to be tested to its limits when it comes time to deal with the Ahamkara (the cabal will want to wipe them out and the Awoken will want to protect them) and with Lysander (who could very well attempt to play to people's paranoia about the other alien races that are sharing the city with them in particular the cabal).

It would be nice to have the coalition forces settle in some of the moon and planets within Sol.

Caitl’s Cabal, Mithrax’s Eliksni, they can all stay for as long as they want to. We have plenty of planets. Everyone else who isn’t human-related can either lay down their weapons and make peace, or be made into weapons to kill other bad guys. If those terms do not appeal to you, then get the hell out of my system!!! I was also thinking about turning the remnant Red Legion and Dusk Fallen into a combined “Pirate/Mercenary” faction in the future.

I am 99% sure that for the duration of the Final Shape year at least, Saint and Osiris are going to sustitute Zavala and Ikora respectively in the tower and take their fuctions while they go inside the traveler, probably become NPCs there together with Cayde and reunite the old vanguard trio. It makes a lot of sense since Saint has already become the guide in many seasonal activities and Osiris teaches you Strand so he could perfectly be given all the light and dark powers so new players buy them directly from him instead of chasing him, ikora and the exo stranger. Also, there is a voiceline, I believe the last voice log from the season that hints towards it.

I'm looking forward to see what comes of this new alliance. First is the chance that we might start seeing new hardware. A combination of the best from each of our factions to a new class of fleet. The idea of a mortal council in the city, (Hawthorne? Devrim?) with the potential of liasons to Neptune and the Reef. The military council, being the Vanguard and the leaders of our allies. When we make it through the Final Shape, we could be looking at a new golden age, one of reclamation. Tie up the loose ends in our system (Clovis) before helping our allies reclaim their homes.

I am eager to fight along side each and every guardian to defend the people we love and to prove to the forces of the witness that we are not to be underestimated!

It would be sick to get new factions, like FWC, NM, and DO, after final shape. Like House of Light, Concordat, Awoken, maybe a Cabal themed faction. And the gear we get is inspired by those factions looks.

I think perhaps we'll assist in reclaiming Torobatl, if Caiatl plans for that. Maybe we'll finally be able to focus all our attention on breaking the dreaming city's curse as well.

I really, REALLY hope that theres two 'ending' cutscenes. One for if a team completes the raid during contest mode and one for if NO team beats it during contest mode and then right at midnight if no ones beat it everyone logged into a character has their game taken over by a cutscene at the same time

I can definitely see the last city being turned into some kind of mega capital city for the colition, kind of like the citadel from mass effect just not as a big space station and no reaper shenanigans.

I could easily see the City on Earth being fortified and rebuilt by tech and knowledge from all Coalition factions, even the Neomuni. Being the first, rather than the Last City. On that note, we may need to change our name. Still, we may need to take out some remaining threats before properly rebuilding. Nanotechnology, if we can acquire it, would certainly be a big help.

Hope destiny 3 is all about humanity expanding further into the stars.

Interesting for humanity and our other alien allies all living together in harmony even if they go and reclaim their former worlds it would definitely be a fair tale ending but it would be a refreshing ending to the story. However the reason I got into destiny from the beginning was because of the story I wasn’t really a video game person until I found destiny so I don’t know what game I will pick up after destiny.

Would be cool to see new onslaught maps roll out here and there as we have to defend outpost across the solar system. Such as the Breytech Facility on Mars from Battlegrounds.

Places like Palamon don't exist anymore from what I understand. The reason Guardians exist at all is because they formed an organisation that escorted people from those kinds of settlements to the last city. I always wished we got to see these kinds of settlements in the game, but the scope of the threats we fight got expanded beyond that scale before we ever got to see them.

Hope for the future, it's coming soon enough, together, how much can we achieve?
