To expand on the Lightning surge build the dev mentioned... Lightning Surge + Echo of Leeching + Ember of Torches + Synthoceps Bond = Three melee charges plus health regen plus Radiant plus insane AoE damage. OMFG the possibilities are endless.

I really wanted a new Darkness subclass. Prismatic has been teased from the very beginning of Destiny going back to the earliest trailer of Destiny featuring a Warlock using three different subclasses at once. The lore also hints something called Symmetry as coined by Ulan Tan. Hell, Ikora's lore says she can use multiple elements at once. It feels incomplete without a third Darkness subclass. This is like getting the 7th subclass before the 6th subclass.

Damn, so we're getting the ability to use the powers from subclasses we already have? I'm not sure I'd define this as a separate subclass just more or less a cool feature we should be able to do after someone completes the raid. Because it's the end of light and dark saga , it'd make sense we mastered the ability to combine light and dark after world 1st raid completion. If we did get an actual 3rd separate element (Idk maybe the stuff Rhulk uses with the twisting beams or Calus with creating his spinny gun) then the raid is completed and THAT unlocks to ability to use all 3 light and 3 dark elements together, it would have been way more awesome.

Ironically enough I feel like the multi exotic class item will have a bigger impact on pvp than the subclass mix. As a warlock main, the thought of using ophidians and trans steps is just…. Well this comment aged horrendously. Rip warlock mains, we got dogshit for crucible on our bonds lmao.

The build crafting in final shape is going to be so insane. I absolutely love the idea of all of these advanced combinations and fusing exotics together. And I'm really happy about these new unique enemies we're getting because I love tormentors but I feel like they, just as lucent hive were barely anywhere. Now we get a whole battlefield of tanks with insane ability combinations and amazing exotic combinations. I absolutely love all these ideas.

Oh reminds Me of the red mage from FF14 where you build ver-magic attacks to build light and dark to be able to use ultimate attacks

Wouldnt that mean, that warlocks can get all buddies at the same time now? Just equip briarbinds with child of the old gods and shoot it at an enemy. Then switch to prismatic with the aspects arc soul and solar soul and then equip a strand weapon with hatchling and no time to explain. Or maybe you can use child of the old gods and solar soul and then just consume an arc grenade with getaway-artists. If this works it would be like a one-man army.

So we got custom subclass basically. Thats fucking dope.

Has anyone else pointed out that the exotic Class item perk pulls seem to be coming from all over the exotic armour pool, not limited to your current class? In the video, they're showing a Titan running perks from Ophidians and Star-Eaters.

Let's be fair. Most of these abilities are in PvP now. If you have the right perks and build, you can go Radiant or Devour on Stasis. This just makes it easier to start and customize your personal style.

Combining Radiant Dance Machine + Bombadiers, with the vanishing step aspect and strand clones. Infinite dodges with clones, bombs, and invis.

You know the old guard has left when nobody remembers that the early gameplay footage for D1 before launch showed mixed subclass abilities on a loadout… tragic.

The transcendence bar seems to regenerate mid-ability when getting kills. Either direct kills, ability kills, or kills against enemies debuffed. Can’t quite tell. But the regeneration was quite high. In some of the gameplay, one transcendent grenade gave back almost 1/3 of the titan’s transcendence bar.

Also, warlocks are totally going to try to get all the buddies at once

Combining Strand and Void Hunter or Solar and Stasis Titan is gonna be terrifying to witness.

i reinstalled destiny 2 & hundreds of women flooded my dms, they said "wow, do you main solar titan??" at first i was afraid (i do not talk to women) Then, I began to understand this is the power of destiny 2, the game. This is what Bungie has been working towards all these years

I truly hope they balance this well, I love rocking Solar Hunter in PVP, hope they don’t make ‘pure’ classes obsolete.

Being able to have both the subclass abilities of the synergistic perks on the artefact will be neat-won’t be dependent on others running the other necessary subclass. Sweet.

They mentioned how its a much more advanced subclass so im led tk believe that the other subclasses are kinda like premade options while prismatic is opening up the gates for people who want to tinker. I also assume not all abilities will be shared on prismatic

Titan with Liar's Handshake + Synthoceps and ACD/0 Feedback Fence perks OMG... Plus Strand + Solar (with Consecration) and Arc.

Note that there are 70 DIFFERENT PIECES OF EXOTIC ARMOR in the game currently maaaann that grind for the best combos for your build is gonna be insane Maybe there’s a vendor that will allow you to cash in your exotics to combine different perks like take a chest exotic and combine it with boots and so on and so forth, so that gives players an incentive to play with different classes in order to get the best armor combos and they’ll restrict Xur from allowing to buy armor that isn’t the class you’re playing at the moment

Exotic class items is why we're getting 100 more vault space. If we assume there are 10 different exotic effects in each of the two columns for the Class item. That would be 100 different combinations. And let's be honest, if you are holding on to poor weapon rolls in your vault, there is no way you dismantle even a single exotic class item.

What made destiny so great was the power fantasy! they’re finally bringing that back making us feel as powerful as we are supposed to be And the fact that we get to go back to the tower from Destiny one is just icing on the cake

HA. Everyone said the final subclass would be Darkness and either colored red or orange-ish yellow. Jokes on them, it was a spectrum all along. Seeing the Phoenix Dive, Strand Needles and a Flashbang beside eachother in the HUD is mind blowing though. Like wtf. They didn't just cook, they burned down the whole resteraunt. 😂

It won't be CRAZY powercreep because people like me will still min/max our perks and I feel like they won't give you EVERY aspect and shard if that makes sense? Like say you're a well-lock so you min/max your support to give radiance and restoration X2 for 20 seconds, with solar kills extending duration, you probably won't have the extender nor the 20sec bonus more like 10sec

Bungie "We want it to feel a little broken" Also Bungie "We didn't want it to feel that broken" as they nerf everything into the ground 2 days after Final Shape releases.

My brain is already cooking up builds both with classes and what that exotic could do to those builds

I will hold my hopes on this after finding out more and how it goes from here. I found out that we get a pre load out for all the sublcasses. And by the looks of things. Warlocks got shafted big time. But again we shall see.

I like the idea of randomly rolled perks on the new exotic piece. That means that for a time being, you may be the only person on the planet to have the most broken build in the game. Our builds may truly become unique.

As someone who doesn’t even own the newest expansion, I’m terrified. I really hope that this doesn’t make crucible unplayable for anyone without the final shape.

I dont know if anyone pointed this out or not, but the exotic class items are more broken than people realize. Look closely at the 2 perks they showed on the hunter cape in the video, it was assassins cowl and SYNTHOCEPS. For anyone not realizing the implications of this: hunters and titans will now have direct access to sunbracers and so many more combinations are going to be possible. Also i'd like to point out that at one point in the video the devs use all 5 different subclass elements back to back, the warlock had strand melee but when he activated his slide it changed to let him activate the arc ability. so builds will be extremely in-depth.

I'm not the smartest guy (my college essays are showing it) BUT Stasis is control the darkness Strand is let the power control you The only other option was become the power, now i had no idea how they'd do this but you pick you abilities from across the classes......yeah that makes sense I mean Cayde was wiping out golden gun and blade barrage so in quick succession so having the option to mix and match makes sense Esp. when you think about it the subclass system we have isn't how the classes originally works (not a vet just so happened to have watched a video last week) Interesting concept time to plan my build crafting Edit1: 1:58 conditional was the hint for the new subclass but NO ONE realized XD a weapon that defaults to using light and darkness as one, ngl bungie putting damn smart i like it Edit2: 4:27 maybe they show later but that warlock had the void super and used a solar aspect.....
