Bungie, this is cute for a single mission for a static exotic but this is a lot for a mission im supposed to farm for a random roll.

I would be ok with this if there was no timer but having a timer and it being puzzle based while being forced to do this co-op makes this mission a nightmare in my book.

Happy to see I'm not the only one thrilled about this. I don't play video games like its my job. Gaming is not my primary hobby and Destiny isn't even the primary game I play when I do play games. The idea that I would devote so much of my precious limited leisure time to get an item that was heavily marketed as part of the expansion is not my favorite. It's not the end of the world, but I likely wont be getting this item. It's a shame.

Note: if your fireteam leader leaves the zoned instance and brings you to orbit, you did all of those overloads for nothing. Im done playing for the day, destiny 2 lfg sucks.

For such a "back of the box" expansion feature, the difficulty of getting this for the average (primarily solo) player is deeply disheartening.

as a solo player with no other friends that play D2, im cooked, i cant even get Microcosm. im sure the missions are great and fun but as a solo player this is a huge bummer

Man Bungie is getting really anti solo player. Imagine locking one of the bigger selling points of the expansion behind having to be a slave to fire team finder. Raids sure, I hate it, but I get it but what in the baby back batista bomb fuck Bungie. Really testing the player bases tolerance for their bullshit this expansion.

Im not opposed to LFG but man the mission in of itself looks like the most tedious thing ever doing basically a Riven's eye mechanic with a Vow filter as a exotic mission 😂 Also 2 players is so specific definitely a one and done on your desired class and just pray to rng for world drops

They really need to change this ASAP. Not a great first step after Final Shape launch Edit: Let me clarify. They need to not make it the only way to unlock them. Let there be something with a rare chance to activate being able to get them as drops for the solo player

i did all three overthrows and didnt kill any wizards because i didnt watch the guides fully, im going to sleep.

The most "F@ck u solo players" expansion ever, well its FINAL to me now.

Im not asking to make this mission easy, I just wanted a chance to do it solo. Like can we not have challenging puzzles that are soloable? I like to run Dungeons in LFH, I like to run Raids in LFG, but this seems wrong to run in LFG. While im at it to address anyone who is constantly saying "all the best gear is/should be locked behind the hardest content." We haven't had that way for years now. They are constantly giving us great gear for seemingly less and at the same time making the harder to obtain gear more niche. There are a few raid/dungeon exotics that are definitely subpar but have atrocious drop rates or are just a pain to get. So why is this suddenly different? I still plan to LFG it, but they should have made this a dungeon or something. Probably would've had less harsh feedback (maybe).

I’m on my wife’s account here but having already posted this type of comment in the Bungie forums and having gotten brutally lambasted for it I expect the same here. Without going into the how’s and why’s I am a player that now has no hearing in my left ear and partially in the right, multiple surgeries to my mouth and neck leaving me in chronic pain and my speech isn’t always clear. Having stated all that I have posted IMO how Bungie whom claims to make this game for everybody literally did NOT think about anyone with disabilities. If they had just made this actually a three man like they do with everything else I’d have no issues with this mission and I could’ve gotten two clan mates willing to shoulder the bulk of the parts of these mechanics that I know are going to be really hard for me. This is NOT a whine feast about an end game activity that’s difficult other then the fact that Bungie did not think about people like me period. That’s my whole point. Not whining excetra so please don’t make vile comments back besides I’ve already heard all of them from my post in the forums, some are just lacking in any manners, empathy or decency.Thank you for your video. I apologize that this was long winded but my point is valid in spite of all of the careless comments I got.

The mission is peak. It's absolutely amazing. I managed to get to the final boss last HP bar with a guy on chat (shoutout to the Hunter, Space Monke, ur the GOAT) but the last puzzle is literally impossible without mic. Idk, it's a really good mission, but it should be doable without a mic. It's not a raid, it should be accessible.

I got my friend into d2 last season so im great full for my boi to actually allow me to get my class item ( no gyrfalcon spirit yet sadge ) the mission was really fun to go through together. But as a person who played the game solo for 9 years of this 10 year journey, having these locked behind a duo experience is so fucking ass. If they didt advertise it as a regular exotic mission i wouldn't have minded but damn. It took me and my friend 2 hours to do the first time just for a single drop to them farm them in the overworld. I rather them have atleast made it possible to do solo if it was far more extreme but i also understand that limits what bungie can do for the mission. I dont want bungo to change this mission but i do hope for next time they are more clear on it requires ppl long before hand, especially since this feels like Bungie is forcing ppl to lfg even when they themselves have out right said we should be mindful for solo players as they were a good chunk of players. Im just dreading having to wake up at 3am my time to help another friend get his class item cause he lives on the other side of the world. And to all the ppl who is telling ppl to just cry about it and do lfg, yall Definitely didt get your ass beat Enough as a kid. Tldr : great mission, should've had a way for solo players to get this even just at a lower drop rate while doing something.

Im an Solo player and this will require coms, so i dont expect to do this (for a while at least) But this is honestly a super cool concept, ill definitely do it someday but definitely not today or anytime soon

unhappy with the precedent this sets regarding things. while im used to weapons being locked behind raids and other cooperative means, this is the first exotic armor locked behind cooperative play. cooperative play has always been the best way to get a lot of things, like materials, experience, gear, etc., but its never been the only way to get something other than special exotic weapons. sad im unlikely gonna be able to get this, let alone a good roll, so ill probably stick with standard subclasses for now

1. An easier method for the clock is to call out what ISN’T connected. If you have 2, 3 and 4 and your partner has 5, 6 and 7, then you shoot 8, 9 and 10 2. So many cry babies in the comments. It’s an exotic item and probably the most powerful exotic we’ve ever gotten. It’s supposed to be difficult to obtain. 3. Great guide as always. Thanks for the vid 🙏

at least 1 hour counting prep phase and exotic misison to get 1 drop and it has 8x8 combination, plus the mission requires another friend, good work bungie

I have been playing 10 years and genuinely, I have never thought of just being done with Destiny as I have after attempting this. Why is it two man only? Because some Bullshit allegory?! Why is it timed in such a ridiculous way? What is the point, to gate the community that aren't get good worthy. Like Jesus Christ Bungie you think for once I can just go with it? I can look around, enjoy what was created instead of rushing as fast as possible hoping not to die to Archetics? SMH sheeeesh.

As much as it sucks that this mission doesn’t allow for solo players, it is a super fun mission. The mechanics are simple and fun and the timer adds a good amount of pressure without making things impossible like the season of the Deep tormentor

To bad I’m terrified of talking to other people (I have mental problems that make it difficult for me to interact with other people)

Want to say ahead of time, thanks Fallout for such a great guide. Concise, well worded, explains everything. But oh my god, this is excruciatingly exhausting. RIP to all the solo players who bought the ornament before knowing that they would have to leave it up to LFG to try to get it.

Should also mention that you can rarely get the exotic from Pale Heart chests after you finish this.

Because you can just drive on a Sparrow and farm more of the exotic after getting one, I figured "One mission in a game I'll still play solo afterwards won't kill me, right? I did it for a couple dungeons or certain guns, it was honestly fun." This video changed my mind real damn quick. Not even gonna finish watching. Either way, thanks Fallout, I appreciate your hard work.

This was such a big selling point just for it not to be obtainable for over 50% of the people playing this game this is f****** wild people who work 11 plus hours a day ain't got time to be f****** around with this mini dungeon especially when the roll you want is BIG RNG

Interesting quest idea and definitely unusual for Destiny, but this feels like the potential for trolls with the fireteam finder will be fairly high, especially with the timer.

Usually Bungie is 1 step forward 2 steps back, this time they are 2 steps forward (final shape) and 1 step back (this, plus echoes being very underwhelming thus far)

So there appears to be a frustrating bug in this mission. If one player is a light subclass, and another is a prismatic one using a light super, if the prismatic player dies, you can lose the buff needed to continue. Not entirely sure if this is the cause of losing the buff, but it would happen if the prismatic player died at the parkour spot after the symbol section.

Got to the first clock section blind and got absolutely slapped with obtuse mechanics. Is this used in the raid? Literally how is anyone supposed to figure that out blind?

I think the idea is that you finish the mission and do overthrow for ergo sum and class items

Not sure if it's bugged, but I've done Overthrow twice now and havent gotten a Secret-Keepers to spawn. Either I'm missing some pre-requisite that we're not quite aware of yet, or it's not a guaranteed spawn, or (most likely) its just broken at launch like stuff tends to be.

I hadn’t played since forsaken. Just started playing. About a week before the final shape to get a little caught up and ready for final shape. Hearing that there would be these new class items got me excited. Now I’m just considering deleting the game despite buying the season pass.
