Can you join someone else who is at the boss and has done this already to get it? Kind of like the monitor situation in d1. Joining someone at aksis who has already gotten all of the other monitors.
Because of course it is... I remember helping a group and the team decided to be a dick and bring everyone to orbit this was back in the day on the wrath of the machine
For anyone doing this raid in season of dawn and beyond, vex invasions are no longer a thing but you can go back to where you got a quest and those kills count. Spread the word.
FYI for the decryption part where you have to kill vex on the moon: Vex invasions and vex offensive aren't there any more so you have to go to where you started the quest to get the kills. Edit like 2 years later: People in the replies mentioned you can also do the first encounter in the raid over and over to farm them. Forgot I made this comment lol.
This comment needs more upvotes! Thank you good sir, I was looking into lost sector for farming...I can't believe there are 4 on the moon and none are vex! (3 fallen and 1 hive fyi)
@@tyler4068 that and "Who isn't shooting the oversoul?", "Who had golgoroth's poison thing?", "Why didn't the empowered person slam on Aksis?", "Who didn't kill their psion?", "Who punched the wrong psion?", etc Okay that was too much so feel free to whoosh me
@@corruptVz well some people don't have friends who can help them Edit: btw calling me ass doesn't refer to me being able to make a raid team. I know about lfg but the amount of times I have used it only twice I got an actual fireteam running
thats because not everyone can do the raids and i want to thank this dude for the video im ready to delete this worthless quest that i know i wont ever be able to find help to get.
@@TwistedSecrets777 I don't want to dismantle this quest even though I'm at the raid step I helped a couple of my clan members get to the last step hopefully we can clear this raid
I watched Ehroar's short review of this gun. He mentioned that we have to wait for Datto for the full guide and review of this gun! Gotta love the respect there!
*cough* I have no friends so I havent done any raid in d2 even tho I've from the beginning, no less the new one *cough* but seriously tho, in d1 i did all the raids in one day, like twice, everday.
@Datto Just used your guide and got the quest done from start to finish in about two hours. Can’t stress enough the importance of a good raid group for this one. Did the whole raid and puzzles in just over an hour. I’m sorry for those of you still having trouble with this. Keep trying those lfgs!
Lmao, my shy ass can't even talk to people on lfg. I tried laviathen with lfg ppl and They were so quiet i got frusterated, so i bailed. I couldn't tell them to speak up because my voice doesnt work when I talk on mic.
@@northdropp830 Try more LFG groups, not everyone out there is the perfect fit, I've had great groups and rubbish groups... add the good/nice people as friends and build your network of guardians xD
@@northdropp830 reallly that's weird because everytime i join up a group of randoms most if not all are reallly chill people it typically takes one guy to kind of break the ice by saying a joke or something and then it just evolves from there
I remember when I was one of those people who dipped if I saw something about a raid. LFG brought me some of my best friends to this day and I'm so happy. I hope you guys get a team! I believe in you!
Hey, if you guys are at the Decryption Core part, i would suggest going either into the Raid for the enemies, or go to the Protal where you started the quest and keep farming it. Because Vex on for example Nessus, wont count in Progress.
Just an update for anyone who is reading this now: this is excellent advice. By farming the start of the quest on the Moon you get approx. 73 Vex kills per attempt that will of course give you cores. Vex kills on other places are not guaranteed to count (I don't know the exact system but for example, on Europa they don't).
For those strugling to farm 120 vex kills: - Start GoS solo - Clear the first room ( dont go into the portal, you can`t start 1st encounter on your own) - Return to orbit - Repeat until quest step is done. Edit: - You can actually start first encounter in GoS solo, so if you want to get more vex kills, thats also possibilty. - To start, just kill minotaur that boss is "eating" in first room
People: "We want harder to obtain exotics that aren't based on RNG!" Bungie: *Makes hard to obtain exotic with slightly complex steps* People: "Why do they make these exotics so hard to get? This is bullshit"
QUABAKKA I got it few days ago. To be truthful divinity quest is short and sweet. Quests like Nascent dawn for Polaris Lance and the sleeper simulant quest weren’t the same.
I think the main problem is a lot of people don't like to raid, be it because they've had bad experiences, not enough time, or maybe they're just shy or introverted. Granted, I think raids are a fantastic addition to the game and I'll never forget my first run through VoG, but you'd be surprised with how many actually disagree
@@victorsimmons6769 probably because it takes a stupid amount of time, cant get a team because you have to rely on lfg, lfg sucks for a multitude of reasons
ME, it was funny when that happened and when datto said in this video "and you need to have the quest, like actually have the quest" i burst out laughing because i immediately knew what he was referencing. taking jabs at gigz
Just fyi for the raid part, the way my team did it was that one guy had the final boss checkpoint. We all joined on him to get to the final boss. Then we just ran back through the rest of the raid to the beginning and started the puzzle and did all six puzzles without any of the raid encounter except the final boss. After we killed the final boss, we all got Divinity, just if you want to cheese it.
For those who are wondering how to get vex kills easily, load into the raid solo. There will be around 25 vex that spawn as soon as you enter. Kill -reset raid -repeat
It was so fun discovering that the confluxes were in lost sectors on Nessus! We read the dialogue on the quest when it dropped and were like oh man it’s 440 MST let’s try to get this ASAP... then all us in raid secrets are like fml we have to do the whole raid we only found three puzzle areas by this point. Well done and thanks for the content!
I hate those ridiculous posts man “Must have prior raid experience” this is a new fucking raid why do i need to do other raids (Not saying I haven’t done other raids)
You can reach the last event, itll checkpoint. Whilst solo, load into that final fight, then back track to the start of the raid. Once there, summon your raid team. Essentially, your fireteam can complete the puzzles without enemy spawning in and no boss fights until the final boss.
Me: meh there are other good exotics. I would raid but I'm too lazy to be watching guides on RU-vid to play a damn game and then after all that time sink having to deal with people who either suck dick or are stock up no lifers that worry about nothing more than Destiny raids lol. Destiny 2 isn't even that incredible of a game to warrant having to go through all that bullshit, it stops being fun once you get into that
@@ooperblownup Wow you're really upset huh? I was with you until you stated bashing people who care for raids. You don't have to raids, stop whining about them like a whiny bitch. Then you start bad mouthing the game which is even more puzzling, makes no sense
@@mitzi3262 lol keep getting salty as hell for what other people have to say, it's clear you're one of those cringe no lifers. Who is even whining about raids? I'm just stating the reasons why I stopped doing them which are actually very true as someone who did lfg raids a while back, just tons and tons of cringe people and dudes who act like they are getting paid to finish Destiny raids, they pretty much ask to be roasted. And no I'm not bashing the game, only a very particular portion of the playerbase, I played for a good while but the new modes from the new seasons are just either tedious or boring as hell which makes the time spent trying to get through it and farm stuff through it boring imo btw don't get too mad and insulting when you hear the truth homie, you only let others know you felt identified and got offended, which is actually kinda funny and sad
@@ooperblownup You literally wrote whole ass paragraphs. I'm a free to play player lmao. I'm from Destiny one and I love raids. I just didn't like all the DLC D2 had. My guy you were clearly bashing the game because you're not capable of doing a raid. I'm chilling
Note for the puzzle that goes around the pillar in the second encounter: you can link players around the pillar and then have the final player connect to the original, forming a circle around it without having to jump over it. No hassle required
i love this new idea of having to do the raid to get an exotic, and i think they should definitely do more of these in the future, but it looks like im not getting this exotic anytime soon lmao Edit: Okay, i dont think yall are getting what im trying to say, Garden of Salvation had a very unique way of getting this exotic with the little nodes puzzle stuff. For legend of acrius all you had to do was complete encounters for the seals, for 1k voices you had to strictly rely on rng, there is no way you are guaranteed to get 1k voices asides from just comepleting last wish numerous times, same with tarrabah. Legend of acrius was the closest thing compared to divinity quest wise, and like i said, all you had to do was complete encounters and kill shit
@@dismantleminesyesss8529 my bad lmao, couldve explained better, i meant i love the idea of having to actually having to complete a raid and little secrets within to get an exotic. It wouldve been an amazing idea for 1k and last wish instead of having to rely on rng
HOT TIP: For the vex on the moon kills literally go to the secret cave where you found the Divinity quest, each time you complete the cave you get ~75/120 kills
Imagine waiting for this video to come out being excited when it comes out, completing all the steps before hand in anticipation. And then being told by Datto that you need to complete the raid Feels bad man 4head
Colin Whitlock making it the 2nd you cause outbreak not a raid exotic anymore and d2 and d1 two totally different games. What kind of logic is that anyway?
I'm almost convinced the top players and content producers get a written guide for these quests. Just hard to believe that all of this was just figured out less than 48 hrs after the raid went live. Like, how random that the start of the quest gets found, and then tied to a hidden entrance you'd only find by jumping off the map, and then in addition to figuring out all the mechanics of the raid itself, you have to figure out a seven part puzzle that's separate from the raid. Of course, I'm only half joking, because I know Datto is a pro at this crap. It's just hard for someone not on that level to fathom.
thanks for an amazing and helpful guide finally got Div after all this time severe social anxiety is a hell of a thing but finally beat it this once :-)
Finally got divinity as a solo player. The puzzles aren't too bad but for the love of god make sure you have a solid fireteam for the last boss. So many of my runs ended because we couldn't beat the sanctified mind.
I’m not 940 yet still watching this video because the gun is so cool, thx for the video datto, your exotic guides been carrying me since touch of malice was released. Can’t wait to watch the raid guides as well
Pro tip: for the phantasmal fragments part, there is a nightmare you can spawn below and to the right of the Red Keep. Spawn in to Sorrows Harbor and at the main door do not enter, go to the right and below. The nightmare is at 980 iirc. Very difficult but beating him gave me 1, and then the chest I opened gave me 9! Well worth the struggle
Use lfg i have gotten all my raid clears from lfg it's not as bad as you think. People either just dont try lfg or give up with their first team. Honestly give several groups a try to get a clear most people aren't that toxic anyway.
Me: finally a video to see how I get this thing Datto: you need to do the raid basically with some extra steps. Me: welp looks like I'm not gonna get that exotic
@Pure Not everyone is so keen on raids, besides, most of the time is like, if one guys fucks something up, they just leave, doesnt matter if you made the group, if nobody did it yet, or whatever. People ARE PICKY, and if you dont know everything to the smalest detail and get it right 1st try, well tough shit. Saying this from experience so far. Most of the time i had to actualy pretend not to be a first time raider just to be able to go with the group... fucking insane
Thought it was just an exotic that dropped from doing some puzzles in the raid, didn’t know you had to do all these steps beforehand. Now I’m just sad that I went through all that hardship.
Thanks Datto, I ran the raid for the first time last night. I realized I wasn't ready for the raid because I hadn't done the first few steps of the quest yet. I had the quest, I just hadn't done anything after getting the quest to drop two years ago. Also am about to tag you on Twitter because I'm outta control!
Thanks for the guide Datto. Now I'm just waiting on the guides for the encounters; hurry it up man! /s But seriously, your guide videos are great, and are why I've been able to do the post-Forsaken raids at all.
I was totally on board until you said jumping puzzle, exploding harpy's and travelling as a coordinated group. Yeah my raid team ain't getting divinity lmao.
Thanks for this guide Datto. I have been sitting on the final quest step for years now and finally want to get Div after running 2 other raids and seeing how strong it is. Hopefully I can find an LFG that's good enough.
I still don't understand what people don't get. it's a RAID exotic. You want it, then you have to complete the raid. Do these people expect to get this by doing crucible or something?
No they expect it not to be a complete pain in the ass to get im not bothered cos ill get it in my own time. However the average player wont complete the raid for another 3-5 weeks and then to get comfortable enough with the raid another 3-5 weeks. Just think for a second this weapon could be a meta for PVE and you cant get it for at least 3 weeks it would be annoying especially if they dont have the time nor skills nor the commitment to destiny
@@sauceman2562 So? What exactly is your point? I've never understood this attitude of entitlement that Destiny players seem to have, if you don't have the time or the skill to get the gun, then why should you even have it in the first place.
Watching these types of quests are a mixed bag, its awesome that its not an RNG drop......It sucks that most of my friends stopped playing Destiny and I have no team to do this with.
Vex invasions are gone. The best place to do it now is to go back to the beginning of the raid. Just reload to the spawn point and head back. I got it in 2 trips.
alex brown same been waiting for my clan to get on to do it but no one will hopefully now that this guide is out my friends will be motivated to actually do the raid
Dude try lfg, i used to have some bias against it in the past, but almost every single raid i've done since WotM has been lfg, you'll get a few potato groups but i'd say that 80% or more of my groups have been welcoming, friendly, and most importantly they didn't suck, just don't get suckered into a long session with players who are just not good (i'd say give the team a few tries to see if they are actually bad or if it's just lack of chemistry because everyone is a rando, but i'd say it's okay to quit if the team has made zero progress for 10 wipes or 30 minutes)
I got this done tonight at 9:15pm gmt and if it wasn't for the team that I had, and this raid guide for letting me know before I started the quest last week, I wouldn't have gotten it. And now, I can honestly say, fuck those puzzles and everything they stand for xD
This looks fun to complete. Rather have a quest for the raid exotic than a damn random drop. Took me until a couple weeks ago to get 1K and I still don’t have Anarchy:/
It’s June 2020 just ran GOS last night. It was a challenge but a total blast. Divinity...how the hell did I get this far and never started the damn quest. Guess I’m running the raid again soon lol. Thank you for this guide.
