The collars on the controlled Vex and Saint-14 are reminiscent of the Ishtar Collective symbol. I'd be surprised if the mystery entity wasn't Maya Sundaresh.

I see, they said that Final Shape was the final package of Destiny 2's Light and Darkness saga, but that doesn't mean that Destiny 2 will end along with the Light and Darkness saga, that is, Destiny 2 will still have new expansions for its new saga, right?

I see it as finally they’re going to give the Vex their story and background and origin.

I am hoping we have Praedeyth return and help us along side Saint and really put the hurt on the Vex

I wonder how Maya was able to gain control over the vex and, more importantly, what her endgame is with the power of the Echo?

That figure being Maya makes sense. There are/were countless copies of her in the net. This could be one of them, maybe MSund12, maybe a different one.

The echoes could be souls of Guardians/Ghosts. She may have died but the second her soul hit the radiolarian fluid it may have built a vexlike body around that soul and corrupted it. Thats my running theory so far.

I was pleasantly surprised doing the ghost missions and hearing the new dialog. The insight terminus one was very interesting.

This is a good stuff. The final shape is no more, but that doesn’t mean destiny will not continue keep us entertain 😊😊

Honestly, I just want to hear more about 2082 Volantis, so I'm glad we are focusing on the Vex again. Been chomping at the bit to go through that portal and explore the Forge Star since Eramis threw Belmon at us, so I'm hoping this season sets something up in that direction. The Forge Star being one of the "Frontiers" we get in 2025 seems like it could be a thing.

Well this new missions makes sense. The witness is dead but we never knew who is behind the creation of the robotic army known as the vex, at least thats the only enemy that still secret with its past.

People are saying this is Maya which I can see that it is, but I have an alternate theory that is just if not more plausible. What we are seeing is the introduction of the next main baddie after the witness or at least these three "echoes" episodes will introduce them. The next main baddie being "The Winnower". The Winnower by definition means, "someone who separates desirables and undesirables from each other. Which the Vex are able to do, with their ability to manipulate timelines. Like how the Vex can seperate timelines with "desirable" outcomes and "undesirable" outcomes. The Winnower is what we are going to be introduced, or at least Maya Sundaresh being a "disciple" of this Winnower just like how the Witness has their own disciples.

Can’t they just make a new psion instead of bringing ones we killed from the dead regardless if it’s clone or not

Going back to Maya and the Vex seems very logical considering how important they were to early Destiny lore. While I probably won’t be playing the game anymore, I’ll definitely keep up with the story. As a year 1 vet from D1, these are the types of stories I find the most interesting. The Vex has always been my favorite race and the scariest race in my opinion. The things the Vex could potentially do to you is a lot scarier than anything the Witness or any of its disciples could do. The closest thing I would say is the Deathsong.

I hope Destiny never ends, and in fact, if you go look at Nvidia and their Omniverse, how it takes dimensions and lets them predict or play out, and then if you take the game world simulation and have the ai trained on the day then it’s possible to have mini universes just playing the possibilities. Maybe we could use the potentials of the game to simulate a bridge and bring out the data in a form relative. Like exos are bodies and the ai personality could live in the simulation and grow and then transfer out into the next dimension. Like how we can see or generate the possibility or potential and then expand the potential in the simulator using our data from the real world.

God what sucks so much is that now that cayde is gone again we can’t see his interactions with maya because technically in the golden age he had a crush on her while he was her gaurd but maya ended up like women so she wasn’t feeling it

Makes sense its her since she was giving Saint orders he couldn't refuse. She worked on the exo program so theres a reason she may be able to do that.

Are the Vex really being controlled or are they attempting to obtain paracasulity? Like us, something that would make it possible for them to track us through time and counter us.

It's a exo that spliced itself with Alien tech and is using it to command them.

I have a few ideas on who the new leader of the Vex may be: The Exodus Black's Captain... Somehow Brother Vance... Still Somehow The one that once killed Saint-14 Another random survivor of the Exodus Black Or someone else new

Bungie should make ai bots that are trained in the game to assist and stuff. Like the ghost but like a bot partner for some missions.

I really think that this being is Maya and I'm surprised that Asher Mir won't be featured on this quest since we have a new "Vex Leader" and Asher became one with the Vex Network. But anyway, Bungie is tying some loose ends apparently and I'm up for it 👏🏻
