I wouldn't mind that but it needs to make sense. There has to be a reason why we're there and not just for plot convenience. Make it meaningful.

I think they would have an opportunity after the Final Shape. If they write a storyline based off of rebuilding Earth and healing the damage that the Witness (and the events of the Final Shape) do, then that would make perfect sense. I'm hoping that Bungie actually provides the writing team enough time, money, and talent to be able to do that.

Is it really though? I can’t see any reason to justify going to somewhere on Earth over like, Torobatl, or Volantis, or Riis or something like that. More earth post apocalyptic stuff would be fine, but it’s not the vibe that I mainly play the game for, that would be the more explicit sci-fi/fantasy elements.

​@@yourewrong9028agreed. I'd love to assist Caital's Cabal in retaking torobatl and taking the fight to the Vex in their home world/ system. I think bungie missed the boat on bringing in locations like old Chicago and London. They'd serve little narrative purpose at this point

@@jasonwright5239 in an infinite nothingness there’s always somewhere to run. It was definitely pulled to earth by a family tricked by Savathuun.

I thought the in lore reason was because Rasputin and the few remaining Warsats during the initial invasion of the Witness and the Black ships saw it attempting to leave, so Rasputin did what it thought best to ensure humanity’s survival and used the last remaining Strength it had at the time to somehow prevent the traveler from leaving and forcing it to stay and improvise. I.E making of the ghosts and guardians.

Out of all of the areas in the game, the EDZ still pops off with players hanging around. We want more Earth locations.

Pretty much, its that comparison between ocean depths explored and outer space explored all over again. I personally would love to traverse and fight neo-House of Devils remnants in England or Vex in old Chicago to get Graviton Lance's catalyst or something similar, it would help with the worldbuilding immensely. The places don't need to be tied to anything story-related at all, just places to explore and be immersed in. Its a post-apocalyptic setting, after all, and those tend to have the most beautiful and chilling visuals.

No, to my knowledge, Bungie has been based in Seattle, Washington, USA since their inception. Its why they always use Pacific Standard Time for their dates. Besides, if they were based in Canada, then they would be spelling things they way the English do ("Traveller" with one L took me 10 years to get used to...)

@@DragonBornHero I'm Welsh; it took me a while to learn that the United States has lots and lots of minute spelling differences compared to the Commonwealth nations ("Airplane", "Sulfur", "Gray", "Judgement" without the first E, all the U's taken out, -re/-se versus -er/-ze, and so on), some more confusing than others if one doesn't know the etymology history (most of our spellings come from French or Latin influence). For the longest time, I thought it was only the spoken dialects that were different, and I used to be really anal with my spelling when I was a young lad (mainly because I was paranoid about my own literacy skills). But in the end, its all petty small stuff to fuss over, as long as we can understand each other, right?

A raid/dungeon that goes across the entire Hawaiian island chain would be something, provided anything past the largest island still exists, of course. The fireteam starts off at Midway atoll, and traverses their way to (old) Honolulu, then over to inside one of the volcanoes on the largest island where the boss resides. Perhaps that's leaning a bit too hard on the fantasy side of the science-fantasy setting?

I posted a comment about having a raid on liberty Island that goes into an old base underground to stop a vex incursion as an idea but it got deleted by RU-vid... is there something happening there IRL???
