How quickly we forgot the D1 beta content. When D1 came out I saw a leak that had ALL this. The person even leaked the new supers that didn’t come out until WAY WAY after. The beta leaks said that the Vex were basically the final evolutions of the humans/exos. I’ll try to find it but it feels like all they’re doing is just going back to what they wanted to do before activision forced them to scrap it all.

I always thought that the Vex were either the twisted side of the Exo's or the ultimate form of Exo's in the far future. Once we found out about the Veil and Neomuna, I figured that the Vex were those people.

This has been a long standing thought of mine. Most people will remember back when d2 vanilla launched there was a quest for the sturm and drang where you had to follow a harpy which was actually friendly. It never actually confirmed it but implied that the harpy was actually someone called captain jacobson from the first landing party from exodus black to nessus.

Imagine if the vex actually are humans from a different reality that augmented themselves so much to where they became the vex

Seems way more likely that they're the remains of the ammonites. Almost every concept within the Destiny story copies concepts from their previous stories in Halo, Marathon, Myth, and Pathways. You can figure out most of the answers in the Destiny universe by digging into those stories.

The Mythoclasts description changed from D1-2. The trigger seems looped into a temporal loop was what it used to imply.

I was always under the impression there are no individual vex like there are humans. Each goblin or Minotaur or whatever is a different suit worn by the radiolaria. I’ve always imagined the radiolaria as a sort of AI that pilots the mech exoskeletons. Something about the exodus program and soteria running millions of simulations reminded me of the vex IDK!

I've pointed out similarities between the Vex and SIVA a number of times, but get shut down and laughed at. Glad I ain't the only one thinking like this. Thought I was a little spinfoil hat crazy

I keep wondering if rather than human, it is the Witness. After defeat, the lives are dispersed, take a mech each, and crave that hive mind they've been used to, and to complete their mission of the Final Shape with these new limitations. And yeah I know very unlikely, but keeps crossing my mind 😅

Hope they make a ornament where they show the mythoclast final form that would be crazy

Perhaps vex and humans are both the apex of creatures in diffrent ways? With one abandoing their orignal form and trying to re obtain a link to darkness and light and humanity having the links but needing to be lead to their final form

If there's anything I've learned from studying humanities past, it's that we'll probably never be able to all agree on one thing without fundamentally changing our nature as a species. Even if we ended up ascending into some cyborg alien like form like the vex, there'd be one last defector group who'd choose not to follow due to their irrational nature. I like to call those groups "retrohumanists", but I prefer to assume we'll end up controlling our own biology rather than merging with technology to become incomplete hybrids.

I still stick to my Idea. When the race of the witness transferred all their consious minds to be one - aka the Witness - they´ve left sth behind. Their subconsiousness and bodies, stripped of all their memories but left with the subconsious will to survive. Left alone this evolved to the VEX Mindfluid

I just need to know how none of the vanguard or anyone in the last city knew about Neomuna? How does that happen? This entire time "The Last City" wasn't the last city at all and the people of Neo were just thriving living their best lives. That is wild asf to me.

I had a theory… what if Clovis became the leader of the vex cuz they see him leading them into being the pinnacle of life n becoming the final shape or perhaps something even more? Maybe becoming the gardener and the winnower being the one true god. He would of made exos to a preface to see how he can integrate ppl into being the vex.

Anyone wanna help build ghost tech and then use that to build a traveler in space? Maybe not fully using light but eventually we could use plasma to form anything using directed lasers to guide collapse and use data like magnetic scans and such to know the blueprints and it’s possible. If you know the collapse formula then it may be possible. Using the new Claude and how it uses Monte Carlo simulations we could use that same thing in ghost tech and use Devin the new ai and its designs to help make it possible. Could be worth our effort. The veil is like the data and how we would see the potentials and the traveler like tech would use plasma and lasers to “generate” the portions. It’s like vex simulations but not a room or building but a 3d plasma printer.

I honestly didn’t know about the lore explaining origins of the vex. I didn’t think about this until we were introduced to the cloudark in neomuna. I thought that in some universe humanity lost their war against their witness or something and they became hellbent on making sure it didn’t happen anywhere else so they started simulating and evolving becoming the vex. Which is why they try and create their own veil (black heart) because that’s how they got into the cloud ark originally maybe thats how they can harness the darkness and light. IDK i am not too deep into the lore but between the cloud ark, veil and their need to change other realities thats where my thoughts went. Seeing this video pop up was cool to see so I know im not crazy to think this.
