"Low quality customer"; what the hell does it even mean? Looks like the only low quality is here is that housing and poor communication skills of that merchant you bought it from.
Same merchant screwed me over with a clear 8 display. It destroyed my logic board and I had to pay out of pocket for repair. He wants me to pay return shipping which is $30 (screen was $65). He is not a very good seller and tells me a sticker he put on the screen is a tear that I made and glued back on.
I've been binging your videos now and I'm having lots of fun 😹 I have a question though; I've seen you fix gadgets that have seen better days, so it gave me hope with the phone that I accidentally broke last year-- I forgot it was inside my pocket and I just went straight to the beach and it broke. Salt water went inside, and now it's just inside its box. You think I still have a chance with fixing it now? If so, what do you recommend me do? Like, stuff to use to get rid of all the salt water that got dried up inside. Thank you so much and love all your videos! Much better than ASMR lol.
Please tell me how to bypass iCloud activation lock. I purchased iPhone 8 from ebay unfortunately it’s lock with activation lock and seller not longer is available.
bezelless iphones are super hard to install screen protectors on, i have one and go through screen protectors lots, i saved a clip on alignment tool that came with one of the screen protector kits i bought and that makes it way easier but without that alignment tool it’s extremely hard to do compared to previous iphones
I’d be pissed if a jerk sold me a low quality housing that cost $200, it’s even worse how the guy blamed you (the costumer) then ended up blocking you.
One, he is not a hot girl in a bikini. Two, most people on RU-vid are just kids watching adults play video games. Three, most people are too lazy to fix stuff, this is not that kind of generation.
Apple: Let’s make the disassemble of this Phone harder, so nobody will have the time and will, to take it apart. Hugh Jeffreys: Hold the camera and watch me!!!
oh yeah, i do the exact same thing hugh does, i mainly sell stuff on facebook, snapchat and occasionally ebay, usually everything goes smoothly until you sell something “as is” with no refunds or returns because of some issue with it and someone will buy it not understanding what that means and harass the hell out of you about an issue with it that you clearly stated in the description, i usually end up blocking these people because there are some customers that you don’t want to deal with again
@@crimi.photos Ok FIRST OF ALL I am not begging for likes, I wrote “like if you agree” because commenting will take a lot of time where as liking a comment wont even take a second and I dont want anyone to waste their time for me
@@yaboipatrick his name is Zack. That's why on twitter his name is ZacksJerryRig. Just go to Zanco Tiny T1 Durability Test and when he calling mom, use subtitles.
i always find that aftermarket housings are a hit or miss, i do the same thing as you and i’ve had many housings that the screw holes have stripped out of super easily and some that have even completely rip out of the frame, i find that the glass is super fragile as well compared to oem, side note i just purchased a iphone x with just a broken screen for $350 so this was a super helpful video
I get anxiety by watching him remove every additional part. I would have forgotten how to put back the screws to the housing before i remove the other stuff.
This is phenomenal man! I remember doing this to an iPhone 4s a long time ago. it was amazing. iPhone 12 Pro max now. Would Love to see a gold mod for that or a custom pearlescent back glass
Fact: The original store that came up with "the customer is always right" shut down shortly after opening. No. They aren't right. But that dude was whack to block Hugh over that lmao.
littlelamp100, I have to disagree, some customers are PITA(pain in the ass). Some are just complainers, while some are scammers. I deal with a lot of customers and we classify them so we know not to do anything out of the ordinary for them and refer them first chance we get. We don't block them like the seller does but statistically 2-5% of customers are like this. It is not worth your time to devote 90% to 2-5%, we concentrate on the other 95%. Also the adage of treat the customers right and they will spread the word. For a PITA customer, 90% of their referrals are also PITA. You want the right people to spread your name.
Hugh: I can remove the plastic film on the bottom of the phone, and we are done. Me & everyone else: where's screen protector? Hugh: I'll put screen protector later on, we are done.
Hey Hugh! I just wanted to tell you. I’ve been a big fan of your videos for a while now. Thanks to your videos and watching them, and learning from them. I finally got a job at a repair shop as a manager/head tech. Please keep making them! Huge fan! Thank you!
“Low quality customer"; what in the world does it even mean? Looks like the only low quality is here is that housing and poor communication skills of that merchant you bought it from and how poor they treated it.
This is perfect. The only thing I would do differently is not put in the wireless charging pad, I never use it. It would improve the aesthetic considerably.
I seen the videos where people remove the glass off the OLED display, when they test the OLED display without the glass makes me wonder why hasnt no one made a clear bezel iPhone X? I wanna see that one day
In all honesty. I hope you do absolutely fantastic business with the repairs and restorations that you do. I've never liked Apple because they make repairs so difficult but you prove them so wrong on how much people should rely on them for repairs. Your videos helped me repair my husbands iPhone and it worked a charm. Thank you.
I have an X im replacing a screen for (or trying to) but I can't get past 2:18 & the damn unscrewing of the panel. I've got soo many different screws in my kitbox and it's getting frustrating... I know I need to stick with it just need to know which head to use for the screws inside......
why would you even want to buy something else from him he was so lazy that he did not even bother to wipe is finger prints of and he just blocked you instead of fixing is bad job.
I bought a broken iPhone 7 for 40€, repaired it with parts which did cost 50€, then exchanged that working iPhone 7 for a broken iPhone X (iTunes Error)! Then I trained myself in SMD-soldering, unsoldered the FaceID Dot projector which is placed on the speaker assembly, cleaned some corrosion, soldered it back on put on a new water resistance seal et voila: 90,50€ iPhone X!
If the screen popped off, then likely the panel got bent and that explains why it’s damaged at the corners when the glass isn’t. Usually happens after a shoddy screen repair.
you should share the seller so we don't accidentally buy from that unreliable seller like that, like seriously what a joke, it kinda makes people that who actually made a good custom housing look bad
I know a lot of people who repair phones and they bought housings from this guy as well I will make sure to tell them to never buy from this guy again and I won’t either
I had a note 5 that broke the amoled panel without breaking the glass. I dropped it getting out of a car flat on its back onto asphalt I think. I still have the phone and want to fix it one day.
id suggest using nothing to adhere the battery to the case. it doesnt need it, plus nothing looks much better than tape with a clear case, but a clear case is a bad idea, as it looks poor. i respect the effort, but the outcome isnt great
