Destroying a Scammer's Operation! 

Imagine any legitimate business actually wanting payment in the form of gift cards.

As a reminder, no legitimate businesses ask only for gift cards as payments.

My boss lost $1000 in a scam, and since I watch all of yours videos, I used the same techniques to track down the scammer and gather enough data to turn it over to the police. 2 months later the guy was arrested and I got a raise! Greatings from Brasil!

Ben's grabify trick helped me scare off a harassing creep once. Despite Ben's tricks being seen by scammers too, they definitely help in many other situations. Many thanks to you, Pleasant green!

Honestly, Scammers put up ridiculous prices on things that have a lower value than presented. Scammers should really try to be realistic but they won't.

I actually was victim to identify theft. my previous email was hacked and used to sell explicit photos to other people, it quickly got terminated and i lost a total of $2,000 with pre-paid visa card numbers in my visa. Im glad people like Ben are helping fight this. Thank you for your work Ben. I love your content and will always admire you. If you see this i wanna let you know, your doing good in the world.

If you want to mess with these guys, remember. Never give them anything to use against you.

You literally saved me from a scammer the other day :) Targeting ireland now. I kept him/her going for ages as i knew it was a scame - as they pretended to pay me via stripe sent a screen shot but i waited and checked and nothing and they claimed they paid me... i then used a grabify link and guess what haha :D

Man. I can't wait for that day when I go to my pharmacy to pick up my prescriptions, and they want me to pay using gift cards. And seriously. James and Andre were the WORST customer service representatives EVER!!! Imagine going to purchase something from a company and you get, "Interesting....", "You pay money. I send you package. You only get phone number if not receive package!", "Don't pay with bank no more! We accept gift cards and nothing else!", "Are we going to do this or nah!". Seriously. "Psilocybin Mushroom" really needs to take a serious look at their customer service issues. They're seriously lacking in this department. Maybe you should offer to give them a customer service lecture or run a customer service educational program for their employees, for a small fee?

I love how sneaky that grabify link trick was. Looking forward to more sneaky methods of socially engineering scammers in the future.

One of the best scam baiting video I've seen--I particularly liked how you expose these fake product websites. One suggestion is to copy the name of the product to see if it's sold on a reputable large retail website, such as Amazon, Walmart, Costco, etc.

Thank you for making videos like this, awareness is so important. My father was unfortunately a victim, they said he had a warrant out for his arrest an needed to pay with PayPal cards to get it taken care of. They kept scaring him until he paid. Thankfully the scammers didn't redeem the cards right away, I was able to redeem them first to save his money. It's honestly scary how it easy it is to fall these scams. He's smart an pretty computer scavy for his age but at the time he didn't know scams like these took place

Congrats to that bank. I provided a lot of evidence to a lot of banks regarding scams. No reply or some non related to the case responses. These people don't really care.

This is so infuriating to see someone using something that can actually help someone who’s suffering to scam people.

I don't have the patience you do when dealing with these POS. I can only last about a minute before I start cussing them out in their language. Also if you could look into the WORST kind of scammers I've been running into lately. They must be here in the US somewhere because I've been getting "power company" calls with American accents and they are deninitely Americans. Basically they say they are the power company and I need to pay right away or they'll shut my power off in 15 minutes.

I really enjoy watching you at work along with Jim Browning and Kitboga. While I do not have any sort of time on my hands to keep up momentum I do enjoy replying back or keeping them on the phones to stall them from scamming someone else on occasion. I like to think that if I keep them on the phone for 10 minutes thats time they wasted scamming some poor soul. Keep fighting the good fight.

I wasted a Nigerian scammer's time last night. I caught him with a grabify link and he didn't have a VPN until later 😅

Hey PG, today I had a scammer act as a sugar momma and try to scam, so I played along till I got them to click on a grabify link and they did, found their Ip and Location and alerted the local authorities, safe to say they were pissed! THANK YOU for teaching me so many methodes

Amazing how this passive aggressive approach actually works on some peoplr. These scammers really don’t take long to become annoyed, you’d think they’d want to keep their cool in order to make the sale more easily.
