In this tutorial, you will learn how to create a realistic sound system for your vehicle in unreal engine. You will learn how to use MetaSound and MotoSynth plugin, add the structs, create an audio event, bind the event dispatcher, call delegate function, update the driving state, and debug the errors of the audio controller. By the end of this tutorial, you will have a fully functional sound system that can enhance the immersion and realism of your vehicle game.

hey bro thanks for this serie. how can i make this crash sound system work in everything i hit? now it only works when i hit another Destructible car. it doesnt have crash sound when i hit a wall or something

You need to look into audio blueprint. Even in the default city sample project the vehicle don't make loud sound when hit with the walls. I guess because that would need more audios. You can try add that function by yourself.

On "Update wheel suspension state" you do a for loop for array length (what is 4) but the array is going from 0 to 3 so you should start with 0 as you do and do it array length minus 1 times. On Update wheel suspension state (what is called on tick when vehicle is possed) you go over array length every tick. That causes performance issues as well and can cause minor issues - like trunk opening not working properly eg.

@@jourverse what you did here is what a lot of people tried. Great that you share this with the world. I also copied all sounds and the vehicle type, so you can just switch the sound by changing the vehicle type. I dont change the entry and exit anim to often for the cars (for some like trucks you need it) but taxi and suv is using the same for me. I force the cam movement to the back of the car before anim starts. Nobody can see the different heigth. Also I play doorsounds with anim notify instead of dispatcher. What we do depends from project to project, what you show will help a lot of people for sure.

You should see your audio collision blueprint in city sample project.

@@jourverse No, I don't have an "Audio" folder. And even more so this file. I reinstalled the city sample project. But nothing appeared. Could you upload this file to google drive. Or something like that? Thanks

@@lotusk99 This project is city sample full project not city sample vehicles. You need the full project to have that audio.
