In this video I go over all the steps on how to replace your clutch on your own and save $$$. I try to show as much detail as possible in every step of the process so you know exactly what to do. I enjoyed making this video and hope it helps you do this at home and save yourself money. I will leave a link below to the clutch I purchased. This is the same process if you are replacing with stock or upgrading your clutch. Hope this video helps, and as always thank you for watching!

You just scared the crap out of me when you said 37 ft lbs on the pressure plate. I just finished mine and drove it for the first time today, all good. But I knew I only torqued the pressure plate to 24 ft lbs. Different years have different torques, whew all good.

That is such a great feeling driving around again after jobs like these. Yeah torque specs all vary slightly depending on what you have. Thank you for watching!

Great job! I’ll just add to anyone who’s doing this for the first time to make sure you reinstall the isolation foam boot under the shifter where there’s the hole in the floor you put your shifter through. If it’s cracked up,falling apart or you forget to put it in you’ll have a tremendous amount of heat coming through that hole and your center console will be extremely hot. Ask me how I know lol

Thank you! This is a great point, thank you for mentioning! I was able to reuse my OE one, but do you remember how much a replacement is? Thank you for watching!

I got a automatic jk, figured I’d be beating up the clutch more during off-roading plus auto is just really convenient 😂

Very true, I like the convenience of an automatic and have been looking at getting one 😂 the manual is a pain for a daily driver in traffic. Thanks for watching!

Great video. I did this job a month ago for the first time. My throw out bearing went out 2 weeks ago and I'm having to redo it again. I'm taking a break from it now lol. Much easier second time around but it sucks that the new bearing failed. I'm replacing it with a National Bearing this time.

Thank you! It was actually easier than I anticipated it was going to be, but I’m sure I would be better at doing it if I had to do it again. Thank you for watching!

@@JKJeep I just finished up and my issue was the pilot bearing. I did not replace that originally. I also replaced the fork retaining spring and upgraded the TOB to a National Bearing. This is the first time since I've owned the Jeep that the clutch has not rattled in neutral!

@@donniepitts1646 that’s awesome! It’s such a great feeling to take on these projects and get them functioning better like that, all while saving money

Quick question: during the process of lowering the assembly to get the top bolts, I had some coolant start to drip from the top of the block down. I haven’t done anything else yet.

@@MFOrdinary1 Was it just a few drips or a steady drip?
