I’ve never thought anything of the use of your term chase-ways and I wouldn’t have brought it up even if I did but some people are just nitpicking I guess, I love your channel and wouldn’t change a thing 🥰
Bill and Deb. You both had great ideas and simplicity about your build! It works well for you both which is so important that You Love it. I love your trailer/home. Great job!!’ Beautiful
I am in love with how ya’ll made your home!!! Such an inspiration! Your hard work, creativity along with the decor OMG!!! Lots of love put into that build and it definitely shows!
Sounds like Delilah is putting in her 2 cents. Lol! I love it. It's wonderful having good friends around. It's a great community. I love the red throughout. The paintings. Can't wait to see how Bill's desk for music comes out.
I need to add a space under my sink for a litter box when we take our cat along camping. Can't leave him home, he needs shots 2x a day for his diabetes.
Internet busybodies always have to be critical.. I used to work as a nurse in a prison. Utilities were always run through a chase.. I call it a chase.. You call it whatever you want to Bill.. No apologies necessary.
🎉Bill, I think I call them runways..we get the idea. Can't wait to see everyone's ideas in October. You guys are exactly correct.. what fits your needs is what is the right thing for you....Keep Livin.....
Thank you for the tour Bill and Deb. I am requesting prayers for a gentleman whom lost his conversion home yesterday on the side of the road. He was able to detach his vehicle, but his home was a total loss. We saw the heavy dark smoke and a few flames. It took 3 fire engines to suppress the fire. The poor gentleman was standing well back behind the fire crews watching his home burn. I do not know if he had fire extinguishers on board as you both have strongly suggested. But if a few prayers can go up on his behalf. Nothing in his conversion trailer could be saved.
I love all the Peacocks,, they’re beautiful! So is the artwor, Deb! Bill, you’re a textbook full of useful info and details! Delilah has the sweetest Meowww! Perfect home on wheels. You are blessed and I send Prayers for safe travels. 🙏🦋🙏🦋🙏💜🌺
Bill you have already told us that you are not an electrician or an electrical engineer. So call it what you want. We understand what you are talking about. Your explanation was great an informative. Carry on and God Bless. None of us are perfect.
Don't worry about complaints from people who wants to correct you on the words you use. It is your build and your video. Personally, I knew what you were talking about. Obviously he knew what you meant since he felt that he needed to correct you.
Deb & Bill: WOW , I’m so overwhelmed at how Beautiful your home turned out. It’s so Amazing !!! Such craftsmanship! I know your retired ,but for goodness sakes you could produce some really great tiny homes. I’m about to attempt to build something myself for camping. I’m 70 and still tent camping was just in northern Michigan salmon fishing those 30 degree nights are a bit tough on the body. I just want say thanks to you both and all the many folks that who have shared God Bless and keep the video’s coming Carl
Your home is just spectacular, a professional trailer doesn't even come close. You two are blessed with skills that the average person lacks. God has been good to you hope you have many more years to enjoy the home you have built.
Chaseway: Structure within which the utilities for a Utility Distribution System are located." A raceway is an enclosed channel that forms a physical pathway for electrical wiring. Raceways protect the inner workings (wires and cables) from heat, corrosion, humidity, water, and other kinds of threats Since your Chaseway encloses several items and not just electrical it is more a chaseway not a raceway
I 💕 your build! I'm not a genius but I think your wording of what you've done & how you did it works ! Stay you & enjoy your beautiful home ! It's amazing 🤩 Thank You for sharing! It helps everyone thinking of doing a build ! Very professional & helpful! I also enjoy your videos on other builds you video & share Ty ! 👏👍🙂❤️🫂To you both!
I loved the "walk-through!: I don't care if you use "chase-way" or "race-way." Someone is grabbing at straws. I wonder what they use on their video channel? I have watched this build since day one! I have enjoyed every minute. I am so impressed with all the wonderful things you have added to your home. I can't wait to see what you have in store for us in the future! Everything looks so homey. I am beyond impressed with your home and other cargo trailer conversions. Wow!
Amazing and enjoy following along. Thanks for all of the interviews, ideas, thoughts, and sounds advice. Love watching your journey. We are shopping for our 1st all Aluminum trailer to build out. Cheers.
Your initial "walk-through" during the rough-in from 2 years ago popped up in my feed. I watched the whole thing again. It's amazing seeing how it was compared with how it is now.
You know you can’t please everyone you have a great rig is set for you two and it people don’t want to watch your channel they don’t have too but they don’t have to be rude about it but I think you all are great and this is something that at 72 widowed would like to do and see the country and take my home with me as you all are sending much ❤️❤️❤️❤️and much prayers🙏🙏🙏🙏 for your safe travels ❤️🙏🙏🙏🥰🥰🥰
Hi Bill and Deb. Congrats on this absolutely beautiful and amazing build. It truly has everything anyone could want in a tiny home. I have been watching and researching tiny home builds for almost a year. Your build is like nothing I have every seen. I will be 65 years old next week. I now live in a 2 bed 2 bath manufactured house in North Central Florida by myself. I have downsized everything to go tiny. I love it. Living minimal just feels right to me. Thank you for your inspiration. You both should be so proud of what you have built.
This was much anticipated and did not disappoint! I am vicariously living as your neighbor and friend. Thank you for all you do to help me confirm that there are kindred spirits in the most delighrful places.
You guys are awesome, I've been fallowing you since the early Red trailer, just haven't had the Time to go one of yours gatherings because I still got to work but because of you guys I'm on my third camper conversion and I want to show my work but I'm kinda shy and I'm latino and I don't know if I fit in. Any way love your videos and your work. God bless.
Just found your channel today, I subscribed and have watched part 1 and now part 2. Tomorrow, I will be going back and watching other videos. Joining from Chilton County, Alabama.
Raceway: 2) a channel for loosely holding electrical wires in buildings “chaseway” The word you've entered isn't in the dictionary. Click on a spelling suggestion below or try again using the search bar above. The above from Webster’s. In good humor here’s a word you can use that’ll “stir the pot”… I grew up and worked in Alaska so we have utilidors. Also from Webster’s: Utilidor: an aboveground insulated conduit used for general utility service especially in arctic climates. 😂
I had a couple questions about the bathroom. It may have been covered in a previous video but I wasn't sure... What are the little round vents near the top of the shower walls? The other question I had was regarding the poop bucket... Lol When everything is all said and done.. Does the bucket get..refreshed? Trying not to be graphic. Just thinking about the logistics of that set up. Never used one before like that. Maybe looking up some literature of the do's and don'ts of the..Doodoo bucket would be more appropriate. Lol great videos. Thanks!
The vents above the shower are just that. Vent. We figured it would be a good idea to let that area breathe to control condensation behind the panels. The poop bucket is lined with a heavy-duty trash bag. When it's time to change it out, we simply pull the trash bag out, tie it off, and dispose of it. We've never felt the bucket needs to be "refreshed." The odors (if any) are contained in the trash bag.
@@billanddeb Ahh... Do they vent to the outside of the trailer? By refreshed I was meaning just add more pellets or change it out altogether.. Sorry, I probably should have been more specific. I appreciate the quick responses!
I love your build and the red art work and appliance package, Deb you are a very good artist and you both have really good taste in interior design and function. I love watching all the video tours of other people's cargo trailers that you do and I'm trying to learn as much as I can cuz I'm hoping in the not too distant future to buy a cargo trailer and attempt to do a build, so thanks again for all that you two do and don't worry too much about what the haters who think they know it all and are quick to point out how stupid the rest of us are in order to make themselves look smarter or feel Superior when really they are insecure and also immature, I personally thought you did an excellent job of explaining everything and made it easy for someone like me who has no electrical background to understand, thanks again and GOD Bless you both.
That's a great idea, but so far we have had to do very little maintence. We replaced the water pump last month (the old one still worked), greased the trailer wheels last November, we replaced the shower box last summer, and worked on mini split last April. So far that's it.
I love your videos. Always so interesting. I love y'all's camper, so beautiful ❤❤ Don't be bothered by naysayers. They are on all channels and complain or think they know it all.
I am sure this has been asked and maybe you have made a video covering it. I watch videos about different ways or places to live and the cost involved. Everybody is always looking for an affordable way to retire. Would it be to personal to do a typical monthly budget video? Thanks for the videos.
My favorite part is the thought and serviceability built into the rig. I’m in a Gran Designs travel trailer just for camping and I think you have shown me how to greatly improve things by building my own. And by sharing your experience building two rigs, you have helped the rest of us tremendously.
Great video. Wonderful job on your home. Beautiful. Question. What are y'all going to do with yourselves now that you have more free time? Really enjoy living?
Well i really enjoyed your video "chaseways and all"🤣. Im teasing bcz you siad someone was criticizing. Anywho what would Deb think about painting a peacock or alligator 🐊🐊🐊 on the latch for Breaker box? Maybe an alligator 😂
Thanks for the follow up video, answered a few other questions I didn't get to yet. Just a question that keeps popping up in my head, why not get a used Work and Play as the base, gut it and set it up the way you want. They tell me they have the metal studs in the walls, unlike campers, but you have most of the mechanics when you get one. I keep seeing used fore sale Work and Play 18EC and thinking why not?
This is Bill. We considered doing the same thing. We found a 2 year old one at what seemed to be a very good price. However, I noticed the ceiling was sagging in the wrong direction. I actually called the manufacturer, and they told me it's all 2×2 wood frame construction, walls, and ceiling. They might have changed up in the last few years, but if I were you, I'd do a little more research, just to be certain.
@billanddeb If I do pull the pin on a W&P toyhauler, I plan to inspect the wall construction, I have talked to RV service people asking about the units, seems they can't tell me if they are wood, steel, aluminum.
I am contemplating a cargo trailer conversion and have decided on an 8.5' x 20' unit. can you be more specific with the trailer options you chose to build your unit with?
Hey Bill and Deb. I’m using the Rule shower box thanks to you guys. I’m still building. This morning I got the water all hooked up and testing was going great until I noticed the Rule box overflowing from the built in overflow. Fortunately I put it in a plastic tray to test so that caught the spillover. Do you guys have issue with overwhelming the shower box and if so how do you handle? I know your shower box is maybe 6 feet from grey tank, mine has to pump about 15 ft. Maybe the issue. Thanks!
That's a new one in me. The only time we had an issue was when the float switch actually failed. But , yes, you're correct, it only has to push the water about 4 to 5 feet, plus, we used 1 inch tubing.
@@billanddeb thanks. Well I figured it out. Stupid user trick. I’m just testing with s few small 12v batteries hooked to rule and water pump. Wore the batteries down below the pump’s minimum voltage need. Red faced! At least my pumps are good! Off to the next task! Thanks for your responses.
Lol. Glad you figured it out. Had me worried. I might suggest utilizing the outlet way up in the upper left as an overflow. We actually put a fitting on it and routed a tube down through the floor. That way, if the pump ever fails, you will not unknowingly flood your trailer. That's what we did.
@@billanddeb good idea. I have the water heater and rule in a single cabinet. I put a plastic tray on the floor with intentions having a simple drain thru floor for potential overflow. I think I’ll also do what you did, better it go straight outside, save the pan for water heater leaks. Water heater pop off will also go straight thru floor. I sure appreciate your feedback.
