As a biologist, one of the most distressing things to me, was when I found out that hormone therapy does not try to imitate the normal hormonal cycles. No estrogen cycle, no progesterone, no fsh or lh. This is not making men female like in physiology, it's turning men into something that never evolved or existed. There's no way that our genetics can handle that long term.

@@MellowJelly you know I think you're making a good point here. I think there is an awful lot of posturing overweaning control. Nevertheless I think my motives are at least partially good. I work with kids on a regular basis and I see the shit they go through and I do empathize with their struggle suffering and bad decisions. I teach biology and I help people with medical decisions a lot and it's not really for the money, it is because some of us do care a lot and I think most people care a little even if they get full of themselves often

I'm interested to ask if I may why you originally decided to go for it? Obviously there are plenty of reasons in the interview to make you change your mind so I'm interested to hear how you got into it in the first place. Also, did you detrans fully, or remain transitioned but just remain non-op? Thanks.
@Angel4Sale
@Angel4Sale 2 года назад
@@CosmicClaire99 I am still transitioned and live my life as a woman and I think originally the surgery felt mandatory to be a “woman.” Like if you’re really trans to the effect of viewing life “through the lens of a woman” so to speak of course you’d want the rest of the world to accept you and see you a certain way. Originally it just seemed like of COURSE I’m getting the surgery because here in Canada it’s extremely pushed, it’s actually covered by the government and when I asked different therapists and doctors, everyone painted it out as though it was the same vagina every other woman had. I even asked specifically about sex and they all seemed very uneducated on it but I remember one girl specifically said to me “oh yeah I hear sex is even better because it suits what you you envision in your head. So from then on it just seemed to be a “woman” (which of course it took a long time for me to accept the fact I will always be a trans woman, regardless of surgeries and hormones) the natural next step would be to have the anatomy of a woman. To summarize it was definitely my own need to escape the judgement and shed the label of being transgender, and a mix of doctors and professionals talking the surgeries up so much.

All doctors are not researchers. We rely on pharmaceutical companies and the FDA to know which medication we have available to us. Also, talking against trans narratives can impact your career. Now on to my personal opinions. I’m against puberty blockers or transitioning before 18. Sweden, Finland, and France have banned puberty blockers and I applaud them. Studies show that puberty blockers do not alleviate gender dysphoria. It also “stunts growth, brain swelling, severe headaches, nausea, double vision, and even permanent vision loss,” according to the Mayo Clinic.

One of the issues I have with the Transgender Ideology is that it likes to classify people based on stereotypes. Rather than allowing men & women to express themselves in a variety of ways they label & gender people by a set of societal stereotypes. I believe some people that feel like they don't fit in with their peers, have issues/trauma involving their peers, they might not identify with them & thus might feel that they are the other gender.

I am FTM no medical transitioning at all… I do not ever speak for anyone just because we are in the same community every one of personal experiences is unique. I believe in facts and truth. The truth is I can do all the transitioning in the world and the X & Y chromosome scientifically CAN NOT change, period. Facts don’t care about feelings… that is hard truth… Even still I identify as trans. I struggle with this every day because the truth is it can’t be possible scientifically….. I said all that to say that I Do not agree with what’s going on with the agenda being pushed by society. I do not agree with forced transitioning in children. I do not believe in the indoctrination of the young children, around the subject of transgender. These decisions being made for them and forcing parents to participate in the abuse of their children this IS child abuse. Where are the people that protect children??? Children’s lives are being ruined before they even get to live. The suicide rate is already 40% higher than that of the population, before and very often even after transitioning. Less than 2% of the population even identify as trans so that ratio is scary to think how much higher it will become as these abused children grow into adults.

@@hYbridXY1.0 Thank you for sharing your perspective. I agree with you. Trasition hasn't made me male. I never expected this though. But transition does ironically make me much more comfortable with being female.The best of all is that Testosterone cuts down on my naturally hot temper, making me a more chill and level-headed person. Since I am ok with what I have become and comfortable with being myself, I barely miss being male anymore. However, kids who are neither socially nor neurologically matured, should not permanently change their body. Transition should be for 21 or even 25 and older and it should be only an option, not pressured. Unfortunately, people like you and me just mind our own business, public discourse thus being ruled by crazy people.

Hormones are important for a healthy body. Menopausal women know this. We really need to talk to and listen to our female elders and not treat them with scorn. Lack of estrogen causes weak bones, mood imbalance(women get more aggravated with less estrogen), hot flushes and brain chemistry changes. Dementia is the icing on the cake here. Introducing it to the male body is not a great idea. Testosterone ravages the female body and causes vaginal astrophy and possible sterilisation. Dr's must layout the consequences of this and people need to know what they are signing up for. Kids should not be given hormones. They need to be an adult to make these decisions.

I’m a plain ol’ cis female, struggling with early menopause in my early 40’s. I’ve never appreciated so much how sensitive our bodies are to hormones, and I never knew how much they affect every part of our physiology and mental health until I experienced the effects of it myself. Seeing doctors hand out hormones like it’s no big deal to adults, not to mention kids!!!, is absolutely shocking to me now that I know firsthand how much we are affected by even slight variations in different hormone levels. To put out the message that we can just “pause” puberty, or later reverse the changes made by using hormones for a while, is completely insane. Doctors take an oath to do no harm and messing with the hormones of physically healthy children or adults is blatantly harmful.

@@shaec3405 I'm so sorry for whoever in your life is going through this... When I was a teen I was so obsessed with my "identity" as a lesbian, that I ruined my relationship with my Christian mother. I thought she hated me at the time... But really she just loved me enough to tell me the truth, and never lie to me. I dated trans individuals, but luckily never went that route myself. I'm now happily married to a man and trying to start a family, I also found the Lord 😊. I know that in the case of taking hormones, that's a little different because of the physical consequences... But seeing as 17 going on 18 yr olds are going to do whatever they are going to do... The best advice I can give is to never stop loving, and letting your love be known. Always tell the truth, and don't cave on your morals. Be a strong role model in your own life, and eventually the person will hopefully recognize that. Pray that the consequences of the person's decisions lead to repentance and that they return with forgiveness and love in their heart towards you. I would also ask lots of probing questions, rather than just making statements. Try to get this person to discover the truth on their own. For example: "okay so you're really serious about these hormones huh? Well how about together, we can look into the side effects of these treatments, (Blaire's videos are also good resources) and when you're 18 if you're still convinced this is the right path for you, you can go that route." I say it all the time. Detransitioner stories are IMPORTANT. They NEED to be told, they need to be heard, and they need to be considered, ESPECIALLY by people who are trans or think they might be trans. If anything they help us to consider aspects and positions and angles we may not have thought about before and either change our minds or further confirm how we feel. NO ONE's opinion is more important than anyone else's, and while I understand the frustration people feel at hearing 'what about the detransitioners?' when they're moving forward with their own transition, how it feels like one's existence, feelings, and decisions are being undermined by it, it's still VERY important to think about. Changing one's mind shouldn't be condemned, just as not changing one's mind shouldn't be condemned. It's SO hard to find balanced information about bottom surgeries for both transwomen and transmen. How often complications arise, what those complications are, how they affect one's life. It's encouraged for people to not ask about it because it's so personal, and yes, it is personal, but it's also something that needs more light shone on it. There's so much information being withheld on top of so much that isn't even known, and we're not told that it isn't even known, it's just glossed over, if mentioned at all. There is so little information out there about what happens with transitioning. What the results of certain procedures are. What the long-term effects of things can be. We're pretty much expected to do our own research and learn everything on our own if not just go with whatever little information doctors deign to give us, often because they aren't informed themselves. Hell, the last doctor involved in my transition wasn't even researched in it! And she admitted it! And people are going forward with transitioning in this dearth of information? OF COURSE we're going to have more detransitioners! Detransitioners aren't saying people shouldn't transition. They're talking about their own experiences and what they weren't told, didn't think about, and were lied to about. What they didn't consider. The decisions they made that they found were wrong for them. The things that others should think about before their own transition in order to avoid the mistakes that were made. Thank you Ritchie for speaking out, and thank you Blaire for having him on. I hope we can hear MORE detransitioner stories in the future, and ultimately have LESS of them forced to exist. Not to mention ALL of them are no longer demonised.
@Draco19970125
@Draco19970125 2 года назад
There shouldn't be "transitions". Never should be option to mutilate a healthy body to encourage mental disorders. It is similarly good idea if we would say to a scizophrenic person that what he see and hear is true. Or better, lets print extra ID cards for people with multiple personality disorder. If every cell in your body is either male or female, you are either man or woman. End of story, and the sorry attempt to resemble the opposite sex with agressively interfering into the healthy body's functions is dreadful.

There is a similar situation in the deaf community… When the cochlear implant came along which could actually allow a lifelong deaf person to hear in certain situations… The deaf people were anti-cochlear implants… That blew me away… They would say things like, what’s wrong with being deaf? Why would a deaf organization discourage or encourage someone to hear again? The reason is they are possessive of their community and want you to stay deaf… I see this similar to somebody that transitions and then detransitions… it’s as if they are traitors to the community… I thought transgender people pushed the idea of being whatever you want to be? I guess you can’t change your mind ?

Whew, I thought your comment was going in another direction, that the cochlear implant causes bad side effects too! One of my best friends in childhood was a deaf girl, she got the implant and was so grateful to be able to hear without wearing a little backpack all the time, she’d previously worn a set of wired hearing aids with a big battery. However, *her* best friend was another deaf girl who never had any kind of hearing aids, she and her family just never wanted to deal with it all (making & driving to medical appointments, surgery, costs etc.) She was one of the happiest girls I ever met lol Imagine not having to listen to anyone??

I had a radical hysterectomy before the age of 30. A provider convinced me that my uterus and ovaries were the cause of my sudden and prolonged cycle issues. It turns out my thyroid was the culprit. My T3, T4, and TSH levels were in disarray. I amputated a part of me that I cannot get back. I immediately went straight into menopause and all the symptoms that come with it. I have been on unmanaged HRT since my surgery, and I was never warned about the side effects. I learned more in the first few minutes of this interview than from any provider.

This is sad. It reminds me of the 8 years that my child had a terminal illness and we were harassed to death about getting a "transplant." It's like, "can you just treat my child's illness?" No, it has to be constant harrassment from the first year she was diagnosed till the last year. And they don't even acknowledge the fact that lung transplants don't last very long so if you get one in first year you are going to die in 0-2 years, as opposed to lasting a decade + without one. But no, they have to harass you and harass you, so you feel like you can't even see a doctor or receive medical treatment. Then you have to play along and pretend to be interested just so you can continue to receive treatment. The worst part is you are so desperately trying to receive treatment and new treatments for the illness and all they ever want to talk about is transplant. I feel like my child could have gone on so much longer if not for this harassment which boxes you in and makes a person not want to do it anymore + if they would have just even TRIED to treat her illness. But there is big money in transplant. As far as the transgender stuff, true story-- every teenager hates their body, feels awkward, is having an identity crisis, and so much more. These doctors that are doing this to children should be criminally prosecuted. How is it different than Hitler sterilizing people?

A biological male is not going to feel well being put on estrogen hormone replacement therapy. I know what men go through when they naturally don’t produce an adequate amount of testosterone. It’s awful and causes all kinds of problems in a biological male. Adding estrogen to a biological male will drop their testosterone levels and They feel like absolute garbage. Our OB, in Texas, actually told her that there really isn’t any treatment out there that wouldn’t be worse for her in the end. And the pain meds she needed to cope were horrible on her body. Once she knew for sure she didn’t want any more children, she had a hysterectomy. She’s finally out of the horrible pain monthly that she had since she started puberty. Acupuncture, herbal medicine for endometrial pain, hot baths, massage of lower back/thighs/pelvis, lamaze breathing techniques, tiger balm rubbed on belly and lower back, hot and cold packs on back and belly, light exercise such as bike riding slowly during pain cycle, birth control pills, having a baby, CBD and THC (helps the most with pain), essential oil blends for pain in bath and in massage oils for belly and back, reiki, meditation, dancing lightly during pain cycles, and having an orgasm. Best of luck with your journey to healing.
