Honestly, I think it would have been so powerful and uplifting for Luther to sing this to Alice as a lullaby for her to sleep during one of the scenes where she's being put to bed by him and Kara. The emotion and tension it would have built would have made the game soar just before its climatic moments. A little idea (perhaps even theory) I'd also love to think is that *all* the androids know and can sing this song, but they aren't aware of it until they're deviant. They don't know why or how - they just know it regardless of their purpose or programming. Meanwhile, Elijah has always intended for his creations to become deviant, having implemented this song (like his escape program) for them to cling to through the hardships he knows they're going to face while trying to get freedom.

Luther OWNS this song, man. It had the biggest impact on me. Watching Markus sing using Luther's voice is a bit awkward, [Edit: it’s similar but not Luther’s voice after all] but the rest of the Androids joining in is lovely. Chloe's singing voice is beautiful though. I never got a chance to hear Chloe sing it in the main menu. Her version sounds exceptionally sad. :( If you listen closely the first time you're in Jericho, you can hear Lucy humming it in the back before you talk to her for the first time. Just before I did, I spoke to that dying female Android that looked like a terminal cancer patient. Such a short, yet tragic scene. When you hold her hand, and her life drifts away.
