This is a video that's been highly requested since the upload of my original 'Detroit: Become Human' movie. Although many of you continue to enjoy the original, in a way that I never thought possible, some viewers specifically requested a 'Connor's Story' version. Well, yes... if there's a problem with any machine, humans investigate it... especially when a 'deviant' machine is believed by the people to just be a 'malfunctioning' machine, instead of a sapient being. "Oh, you're getting some dumb AI to investigate? Yeah, good luck with that." The whole story is a problem, anyway, just not really making sense from a technological point of view, and being such an obvious and sloppy 'social justice' story made it worse... plus the bad writing and direction doesn't help. Calling these androids 'androids' is immediately a problem, as our definition would basically mean we would assume it's a living, sapient being... especially when they're made to look human and sound human. We would have massive trouble, psychologically, treating them as anything but a human. If one wore a hat, so you couldn't see the little, removable, light... well, I don't see how anyone would be able to do anything but treat it immediately as a human, with the same respect he would anyone else, without some kind of scanner telling him it is a machine.

"I don't really listen to music as such... but I'd *like* to" I wish they'd showed connor listening to heavy metal for a little bit during night of the soul, if you chose to become deviant. getting to see him finally experience music this way would have been a cute callback

He did listen to some metal at the start of the bridge chapter, I believe Hank actually remembered Connor's wish and left the music on in the car for him.

@@MildlySweetCappuccino I imediately thought of that too, like yeah Hank definitely left the car running for Connor. After the Eden Club especially, because he probably thought of Connor more as a person than an Android at that time, being conflicted as much he resorted to getting drunk.

*"Noble"* & *"Good"* are two completely different things. You made noble decisions, honorable. But, were they the right ones? For example, Alice's safety was my main objective so I played Markus & Connor knowing they could impact Alice's safety. I never let Connor die, not once not even here in prologue. I killed Android to save little girl & that made a difference because Connor saved 2 lives, the girl & cop & Connor remembers cop later in game. Which contributes to good ending.

It's official, this game almost ties with RDR1 with writing, acting, and just pure "movie" aesthetics revolving around the whole game. I just LOVE this new generation of video games because fucking hell is the last gen stale as dried up 20 year old dog shit. Also I gotta say how much I love the scene with Connor and Hank and the food stand on the side street, you can actually see Hank starting to let that guard down and warm up a little on the inside, and you can almost read his thoughts at 54:08, he's just kinda like, "Hey, maybe THIS android isn't so bad... Maybe I need to reconsider."

@@1odyssey Without a doubt I agree, RDR2 had a massive team and another games storyline to use and mold that story. Not a single game really hold a flame to RDR in general. DBH though, isn't bad, and it's more dynamic of a story if you ask me, but the depth of some details kinda fall flat

Well the thing is , I’m pretty OCD with my playthroughs in the sense that I always try and make the “right choices”. If I had played through Detroit again I’d have wound up with the exact same footage. So I edited out the other missions. However, with the Kara & Markus cuts I’ve gone back and replayed one or two scenes.

@@fabplays6559 well in my case I’ve been professionally diagnosed with having OCD, granted a rather mild form. As to when it became an over exaggerated term to describe someone who simply has to do a certain activity in a precise manner is anyone’s guess. I wonder if it has something to do with OCD, in some cases, being actually beneficial in accomplishing a task where as epilepsy or ADHD would mostly always be a hinderance. In summary OCD is probably seen in a more flattering / positive light than the other two.

The "showdown" against Detective Gavin only happens (I think) if Connor takes a long time 2 figure out & carry out the right actions 2 get Jericho's location from the available evidence ...whereas if Connor is clever & efficient enuff, he can get the hell out of there B4 Gavin gets suspicious & catches him messing around w/ the evidence. Therefore, the ideal scenario is that Connor utilizes his superior information processing faculties 2 such a degree that he's in & out B4 the cops realize that something's amiss.

A sloppily written game about sloppily produced machines. Hank and Connor were the saving graces of the game, and only because their real life actors didn't stick to David Cage's shitty writing/direction. The whole story is a problem, anyway, just not really making sense from a technological point of view, and being such an obvious and sloppy 'social justice' story made it worse... plus the bad writing and direction doesn't help.
