Come along as we walk from Hart Plaza and make our way up Woodward past Campus Martius and Grand Circus Park to The District. Along the banks of the Detroit River, at the foot of Woodward Avenue, sits the festival and performance hub of downtown, known as Hart Plaza; and that is where we start this walk. We'll pass many notable monuments along the way including the Horace E. Dodge Fountain, the Michigan Labor Legacy Monument, the iconic Joe Louis Fist and Spirit of Detroit, the Michigan Soldiers and Sailors Monument in Campus Martius, and lastly the Mayor Hazen Pingree and Mayor William Cotter Maybury statues in Grand Circus Park. There are plenty more along the way, as well as some art installations. Speaking of art, part way through the video we'll meet local musician Shadow Klan doing some street marketing. Search him online and enjoy some of his "nerd-core." Finally, we cross Adams St. into what we used to call Fox Town. Now rebranded as The District, this area is home to our sport stadiums, the Fox Theatre, The Fillmore and Little Caesars headquarters. So much to see on this walk! I hope you enjoy it!
