In today's video we are harvesting our field beans. After our own combine broke down we had to hire in help and the Deutz-Fahr came to the rescue. We also bale up the bean straw in the MF 7618 and JD baler. Bean straw is very coarse but makes great bedding for cattle as it has great soakage. Crop of beans was a mixed bag, some areas with great tall high plants with lots of pods and other areas were not so good. We also take a quick look at the uncovered maize with Father Phil as it's just in the field beside the beans and can not believe how it's come on in leaps and bounds - still a while of cutting time though!
