.17HMR ON EARLY EVENING SESSIONS. In this video I'm out with the Lithgow Arms rifle, an HikMicro ALPEX scope, together with CCI Ammo and a Cyanski HI8 torch.
I enjoyed that. Finally got my HMR zeroed last night, and got my 1st 2 bunnies with it. Superb round. I can't get on with that PIP malarkey though. LOL
Hey Reg, great to have you join the 17 club, it’s amazing eh. I’d thought about showing pics of the rabbits heads, but decided not to, as I’d probably got a spanking for that, but it’s fair to say, they all had a Splitting headache 🥴👍
Thanks David, Mine started probably around 3 years ago, first showing up as knee aches, looking back now it all adds up. The process is underway to get a bionic one fitted👍
@@predatorprotectionuk Always good to watch your videos. Learnt a lot. Keeping well and had a good harvest of rabbits this year. Looking forward to a good harvest of vegs!
Howdy from Sacramento! Nice shooting! I love my 17s. I have 3, and only wish that I could shoot suppressed on the ground squirrels I shoot each spring. Yours is a nice setup!
Hello California 😎😎 Thanks for getting in touch, I find it quite odd that you’re not allowed moderators on hunting rifles? But at least you can be back a fair way when shooting, so they won’t see, or hear you . Good Hunting chum👍👍 We were due to becoming out to the USA in August, but I’ve just had to cancel the trip, as I’m hoping to get a new hip very soon🤞🏼🤞🏼
@Predator Protection UK many other states can buy and use suppressors - it does take a $200 permission slip from the federal government though. But here in "special" California, we are not allowed. The regulations here are insane. Best of luck w your hip, and I hope you're able to make it over for a visit sometime soon. Cheers!
.17 HMR is an amazing little cartridge. I have used 50 foot pound air rifles on rabbits out to 170 yards so good knows what the .17 will do, good for 400 yards easy.
Hello chum, yes you’re right there, it’s a monster for sure, I’m sure with the right conditions, big distances are possible , only problem for that is this. I’m not walking to fetch it✋️😁 Thank you for watching and writing in👍
Hello chum, Are you telling me🤷🏼♂️ I had an MRI last week that showed there’s no cartilage between the ball and socket, so it’s bone to bone contact which is excruciating pain like I’ve never had before. Good news is I’m on a list to be seen🙏🙏🙏🙏 Thank you for your support and understanding, everyone 🏆🏆
@@predatorprotectionuk Yes I had the same with the first one, bone on bone hurt a lot and limited movement. I sympathise as I had the pain for a couple of years before being diagnosed.
I have sympathy for your hip, personally I have work related damage to the cartilage in both knees and left ankle, to the point where they sometimes click out and I drop if I've got nothing to grab onto, that's how I fractured my ankle at 2.15 am at age of 67 luckily my phone was in reach good old NHS luckily there was no twisting during the break so I got away with a boot for 6 weeks so now I always have a stick just in case
Blimey !! You were a lucky chap. It’s not great is it, the weird bit is that I can still cycle without pain , I did over 40 miles last week, but it’s the getting on and off that’s the hard bit🥴
Hello James, Thanks for watching the videos, I’m a little more graceful now on my feet, but still don’t think I’m up to David Carradines standards yet 👍😁
@@roberthowe2910 don’t think it’s them, I never really had a thumper of a landing to be fair. Cycled all my life, and had an accident on ice, with my left hip taking the full impact , so that could have sparked it off ?
I know the feeling pard, saw the specialist last month about my left hip and he said I have Camed hips but not bad enough yet to operate so go away and get on with it and we will send you for an injection under xray at some point 🤷😡. Hope they will sort your out soon pard. Ain't no fun being in pain all the time 😕 can't enjoy a good pasty like that 😉
Hello Bunny Basher, Thank you very much , I guess you must be on the other side of the world then , as it’s 01:22 am here now? I’ve just wasted yet another night after a poultry killer, cold and damp here, just like November ☹️ Glad to have you aboard 👊👍 David
@@predatorprotectionuk I'm in the U.K not particularly enjoying the November like conditions either. I was just in from a foxing job when I watched your video. I look forward to watching many more of your videos in the future.
@@predatorprotectionuk I don’t remember the original show as I’m not quite old enough, however being a DC fan I do know the show ;0) I watched the 80’s rerun iirc as a wee bairn 👌🏼🤙🏼
Hello Simon, I’m waiting for some decent weather to put the Mk2 Alpex on my .17hmr. I think it’s going to be very useful, now there are options with the iris control on the new scope. Thanks for watching chap 👍
Don’t worry Jeff, I’m a fully trained operational parachutist , I’ve been taught how to land safely🥴🫢😁 Nothing to do with parachute jumping , they’ve told me✋️ Anyone who’s been told by their Mum to take cod liver oil , because it’s good for your joints. You may as well stick it up your A$#e! I’ve taken it for 55 years and look at me🤷🏼♂️
You’ve obviously never seen a new born lamb with both eyes and it’s tongue ripped out of its head before its back legs have even cleared the mother, when being born.
