My favorite demo. Was a blast finally meeting Jeff as well as Tony. When they did the loud demo at +14db on the dial it was absolutely incredible! Clean, huge, and the biggest impact I’ve experienced in a demo.

I love my 4 RTJ 18” subs! (JTR’s integrator line) The color and finish are great, non-reflective. If they were a gorgeous piano black or stained oak grain, I’d be covering them up with black velvet. Jeff knows what he is doing!

This is absolutely incredible! More so when you realize that my massive IMAX theater, where I live, boasts and provides 12,000 watts of audio power. So in effect this system right here is more powerful than an IMAX theater to provide us audio fanatics with an audio experience that is actually BETTER than being in an IMAX theater.....I am so jealous!! lol

Yes, AWEsome!!! I know a lot of Ppl that Love movies and don't hav a True Surround Sound System. But when i talk to them about getting a system they get happy. But if they can ever come to my house for a Demo. Their mind is blown. This is why i do HT install set ups and they wanna watch every movie all over again - lol... If JTR hav another demo show next year i hope to make it...

I wish I could have attended this event, I would have loved to hear the JTR speakers for myself. I use the DIYSoundgroup 1099s for my LCR which are great, but I've always been curious to how those JTR's sound in person. I've always heard nothing but good things about them. Awesome stuff!

Is it just me or does anyone else's eye twitch every time someone calls dialogue vocals. Vocals are singing: music. Dialogue is speech: movies/tv. It's like saying actors learn lyrics. Pedanticism aside, sick setup though! Wish I could've heard it.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I would expect the "Atmos" speakers to closer to the center line of the room and aimed nearly straight down or slightly toward to the back of the room. Major bummer I haven't the funding to have gone to this show to hear this set-up. Also, Michael mentioned "HT is a lonely hobby" - YEAH BUDDY he's so right. It's seeming like being an outcast around here. Must be you have to invest a million $ just to have the family enjoy it with you. Forget any of your "friends" having an interest. HT and/or Fine Audio casual gatherings ----- not gonna happen.

You have Dolby's recommendations, and then you have what can be achieved. We had the limitation of the truss for placement, and also limitations on aiming the speakers. That said, the truss was about 11 feet in the air, so that also helped. Given everything, it still worked for an immersive Dolby Atmos experience.

Honestly if you learn enough about the hobby you can get awesome setups for not much money. It's very doable. It's great for companies like JTR to push the boundaries of what we can do and then for us that don't want to spend that much to build a system that gets as close to that as possible for much less

I see the high atmos from the sides. The most people have them in the front and in back to push it to the center. Is it from the sides better?

It's a bit of an optical illusion, the atmos speakers are 14ft apart in a 28ft wide room so they are 7ft off the side walls.

@@Youthman I hope to get over to mwave,some year from Northern Ireland. The subs will be fun, you guys are the reason I'm about to install my second pair of svs 3000sb, to make 4 in total ... and could not be happier ... I found svs through your channel and also have 4 prime elevation speakers for heights. We pay a bit of a premium here for svs but the build quality and sound are amazing for my modest setup...they also suit some of my room restictions perfectly. I could never fit those big ones that look like wardrobes but it's fun seeing them on the channel.

Mike, would you be willing to trade in your JTR system at home for a Perlisten system? Take money out of the equation, straight swap. Would anyone reading this comment? If there was one thing I'd like to see JTR (or RTJ) do is offer the speakers modified to use with electronic crossovers.

I’m 100% happy with my JTR system. I have not done any direct A/B comparisons between the two brands but I would keep my JTR system. It offers everything that I am looking for and more. Both companies make phenomenal products and Perlisten has the advantage in aesthetics.
