It is because the team is like three times smaller. Paladins isn't profitable enough to run like it did few years ago. To be honest devs are doing phenomenal job for the team size

Do you remember when you used to give us FOUR skins in BATTLE PASSES, and you didn't asked for a MILLION xp to level up the BP? Ah, those were good times.
I mean, 100+ levels per battlepass was a lot more insane than now. Plus some of the dumb quests / trials that were implemented (like getting kills with the damage of koa's hook) were just pure frustration... Literally, the battlepass are mostly free, so I don't know why you are complaining. If the thing you are complaining about is more skins, Paladins is doing good, man!
@@lovethepandainyou I did the math, back in 2021. 60 levels from Battle Passes required the same xp to reach, than the xp needed for the 24 levels from the Event Passes. That alone makes the BP better than EP. 1,250,000 x 24, is 30,000,000 (xp needed x 24 EP levels) 30,000,000 ÷ 500,000, is 60 (total xp ÷ 500,000 xp needed to lvl up BP) You'd be reaching BP level 60 with the same amount of xp necessary to reach EP lvl 24.

@@lovethepandainyou Not to mention, Battle Passes uses to give THREE rewards at lvl 1. That were the themed frame, a skin, and sometimea, a themes mount. Now the themed frame is around, of after the half of the Event Pass 🙄🙄 It passed months without a mount in the Event Pass. Also, recolors, that were FREE in Battle Passes, suddenly were sold in 800 crystals 🙄🙄
I see a lot of people complaining here about updates but I really don’t get them. I feel like the devs are really trying their best to bring some new, interesting stuff with every update. They’re also not afraid to walk back on previous changes based on players feedback (keywords) this tells me they’re listening and wherever possible trying to change things for the better. I also really like that instead of releasing another champion they focus on balancing existing ones. The Willo and Nando changes are very much welcome and I can’t wait to try them out. The thing is, haters will always be haters and these people don’t really realise that Paladins dev team operates with very little resources and we’re talking about a free to play game. Some people need a reality check before start trash talking the devs🙄 Devs, please keep up the good work!🙏 some suggestions to focus on: - trials have some bug where you complete them but you don’t receive the chest - ranked needs some sort of rework, queuing and setting up a match takes ages so the majority just don’t play them - in casual we have way too many afks and cheaters and there no system to avoid them or discourage such behaviour. Reporting someone means literally nothing, there has to be a rework in order to improve the current situation. I think this is something the is hurting the game the most as it’s really frustrating to have a bot in every second match. Alternative AI needs to be improved so if someone leaves at least the team still has a chance to win.
Word. I don't always agree with their changes (recently, the item changes were pretty bad to me, except for them removing illuminate, which made a lot of sense). BUT. They have been trying to change, rebalance, adapt and make the game simply better. I was damn impressed when they changed from cauterize to passive anti-healing. That was a really good change. And some of their other decisions have been really good, fixing up talents and changing base kits to rebalance the scales. As for your suggestions, I sadly doubt they can do much about it without more budget.
Lol They gonna announce the keywords they wasted months on for healers will now be scraped. Every time they do this, try something nobody wants and months later get rid of it... what are they doing 😢 yet still no fix for trolls, afk and toxic players.

@@bartoseku79 I get that but this is all year round. Why not do something your players want and that will help bring the game some life? You gotta start using brain power and common sense for some of it.
If you keep having high expectations at this point while purposefully ignoring all the clear-as-day signs of how the support for this game has been steadily dwindling month by month for well over 2 years now, then that's on you. This game is barely in basic maintenance mode as it stands, no reason to expect anything big.
flashback event pass? Interesting. From what I've gathered, in this patch we can expect 23 champion changes, with extermination of support keywords starting with greg and furia, nerf to aim assist (bullet magnetisation to be exact), and possibly, a mini BR mode called survival. I wonder, what other changes we'll see. Also, most of the info is from steam page, where they teased most of the things i mentioned ._.. Hope one of the changes will be a bug fix for any part of imani's kit 🙏
God, I don't understand you. You had all the resources to become a competitor to Overwatch, but when the game came out of beta, you introduced a rigid donation system that caused 80% of the audience to leave. Years pass, your competitor releases Overwatch 2, which fails on all fronts, it would seem well paladins come on this is such a stellar hour. What do the developers do? Nothing. No maps, no modes, no development of the universe. The same bugs because of anti-chit. The same black screen where you have to delete a file. Return free crystals for entry that were in the beta test thank you. But you removed for half a year of tasks (quests), on the map. You had every opportunity to crush Overwatch 2, but you did not want to do anything. Instead you decided to do smite 2
I just don't wanna play a game where I get queued up with the same people over and over again every match please fix the matchmaking... Paladins is way better than Overwatch imo but these small little things are what stopping it from making it big...!!!! And please I think it's time we move on from UE3 it's 2024 for GOD sake...!!!😭😭
I think they are primarily referring to the ammo challenge since it requires spamming high capacity ammo champions with fast fire rates to clear it. I've been trying to complete it just with normal game play, but a vast majority of my games I play champions like Maeve which has a low rate of fire and, even with using Koga/Raum/Vivian periodically just for the challenge it's taking forever. In fact, it's the only challenge I haven't cleared. It is better than the TT ammo challenge from late 2019/early 2020.
its not even close to how good it was back then. theres just to many champs now. almost 60 characters. when ying was added. as a sharpshooter. there was 13. and every single new one. is just a massive power spike from the last. last good character added. was like furia. every character except a few outliers after that are just power scaling to the max
It would be really cool if all the past modes were put into custom mode, even as a form of preservation, Siege Remixed was a really fun idea that could easily be kept in the game in some way.
Well thought this would be a big Update but its a small one most Patch Notes are Filled with description Update. No New Skins, No New Map, No New Champion.
Well, but they are finnaly listening to us and doing the most important thing FIXING THE GAME there ja so much balance changes and bug fixes in this update, (a lot of things community asked for like Grover deep roots changes or keywords removal or even controller changes etc.) And you have to remember that Paladins team is super small and they don't really have recourses to do things like new champion to often (also people asked for less new champions and focusing on for example balance)
As a Grover main, I think it would be interesting to make verdant expanse base kit and to nerf blossom’s healing by 75 for its burst and another 75 for the healing over time. Currently, it feels like if I’m not running max verdant expanse and rampant blooming I’m not playing effectively, and more freedom with cards while also giving Grover a healing nerf seems like a change that would make him more interesting and fun both to the and play against.

@@umphopod2919 don't care. If it's fun it's fun. It it create a different gameplay that base kit that's good. If the ability es à second charge talent are a pied to are really different. Like movement or damage. Then the talent do vastly different things.
@@umphopod2919 I mean, I haven't tried the hover, but a second charge of dash would be pretty cool if the talent also lets you stay in the air for a second or two like Octavia. That could be really fun.
Why is Furia not applying card effects with Cherish? The post from March 5th mentioned that they would increase the range of Cherish and that it would give furia players the chance to apply more than just healing like applying some shielding to groups.
This isn’t relevant to the update video, but I don’t understand why Hirez shut down Paladins Strike. I would honestly love to play if they decided to bring it back one day!
You will be able to finish the game. Every change is unnecessary. Just buff, buff and more buff that the champions are becoming too broken to play against. Instead of being competitive, it will become a game to make people angry. Sad with your administration.
Please listen to feedback, there are game breaking bugs such as aim assist being randomly disabled that ruins my and other controller players experience, 2 of my controller friends left the game for good because of this bug
Is there any chance to return the top player by the end of every match ? We need to compete for who's going to be the best and have more goals by playing every match , 4 of my friends and I quit playing paladins 4 years ago because of the removal of that top player section. We are back now and we are not competing like we used to ...😢

...I appreciate most of the bug fixes and such. But, I'm not pleased with most of the decisions here. The gamemode (CTF) and buffs make sense to me but the other decisions seem underwhelming. The Trials decision is by far the WORST option as it shows me that all DEVs are unable to realize the issues and should've simply MODIFIED the challenges at this stage at the minimum to be less demanding instead of increasing the duration. Most people won't complete them if they are appearing to be too demanding or the reward is worthless. The Trials need to be given some proper reward love.
You have to both do 150k damage and 150k healing? Damn, that's rough. Either go play a Sumo (if customs count, but I'm not sure about it) or maybe try with Grok totem, Lilith, ying focusing lens or maybe Furia exterminate. I had 95k on both counts yesterday playing Furia and that was a max 12 mins game. Honestly, you might need a proper party for that. Like friends that will pick tanks and let you rack up the numbers on purpose (buying rejuvenate, not confirming kills, etc.).
5:58 regarding the trials in my opinion the problem with them is that they aren't fun/they don't make you change up your playstyle or yt out new champions they are all just random,tedious busywork that suck the fun out of the game(honestly they are so bad i would rather have the increased daily rewards from before)
That change you made to bullet magnetism is virtually nothing, it'll still be impossible to trade with controller hitscan no matter how much you sweat kovaaks on kbm....a vast majority of the top players on the leaderboards are on controller for a reason and the fact that you think thats fair balancing is WILD
I quite heavily disagree with the aim assist nerf, especially with making crossplay mandatory. I play on console and get wrecked by pc players, whether controller or mnk. Also, a few more things id like to address with some devs: i keep getting skins and emotes removed and tried to sell to me in my daily deals, and i permanently lost an emote from BK. When will we be getting the chance to use our limited skin token again? When will we be getting input icons? It is quite frustrating not knowing whether the opponents will be playing on controller or mnk, especially in ranked. What benefit is there not showing this info?
What about bringing the game servers in Syria its almost a year has passed since you regionlocked paladins servers without prior warning or even an acknowledgment of this matter from your side
