Another Super Mario Advance 5 video to make up for the time I lost without posting anything.
Here I am showing all the work I did this morning, until the afternoon (from 7am to 3pm Brasília time). I did all the programming for Toad's house and I did all the programming for Bowser's battle. The castle was already built.
The good thing about having other projects existing is that they can also help with the codes and make work that would take many more hours to do a little easier.
I still have to improve some things, but that was all for today.
And now I'm going to rest and replenish my energy for more programming tomorrow.

3:07 The fact that you still get to see the actual enemy on the fake Bowser if you drop him into the lava is really cool. Also I think the Bowser battle theme still needs some work. The intro jingle was fine though

6:07 while yes that's true, the fact you're going through the trouble to simulate what it would be like if it were on a GBA, but still make it a fangame is kind of impressive.

The people really liked this project! However, I have derivatives from the same source: Super Mario Wonderland, Super Mario Bros. Wonderland, Super Mario Bros. Wonder For Classic Player and Super Mario Bros. Proto Remix. All of these projects use the same source as Super Mario Advance 5, although internally they contain some of the game's files present.

The idea of the "A" coin is the same as in Super Mario Bros. DX but with another sprite and another way of being collected.

It started as one of the animations made in games. It was an animation concept like others I've already launched on the channel. But I decided to take on this challenge of trying to recreate what it would be like for people to play. This is what I'm most afraid of at launch, as it contains the original levels from SMB1, unlike my other games where none of them reuse anything from the original. What changes is that Super Mario Advance 5 has maps and the engine moves very differently than in the official games. (I would say.. less advanced).

It would've been cool if the bosses had smb2 styled transformations, having let's say, koopas for example, go through those bubble tranformations like in mario advance 1, and become bowser, kinda being a tie-in to that "All these are fake bowsers"

I think seeing the Fake Bowsers transform back into their true forms when falling in the lava is sufficient. Dragging out every Fake Bowser fight with an intro transformation would get old fast, but that's just me.

I want to put the scene of Kamek transforming Bowser's warriors into Fake Bowser, but I haven't found the best way to adapt it yet. But I'll definitely do something like that after 8-4. In my view, Nintendo R&D2 would create a cliffhanger in SMB1, making beginning players think it was the real Bowser in the castle. In post 8-4 I'm thinking about the scene with Kamek transforming all the other enemies into Fake Bowsers, before starting the Lost Levels.

Sua criatividade merece ser estudada cara!! Super Mario Advance 5 está de fato como teria saído pro GBA. E a parte do Fake Bowser caindo na lava foi um detalhe bem legal. Mas seria legal tb se tivesse uma cena do Kamek que aparece na intro, transformando esses inimigos no Bowser. Mesmo que n fincione na cena de batalha, eu sugiro que na entrada do nivel tenha uma ceninha do Kamek transformando os inimigos.

Dude, when you do World 8-4, you have to make Bowser's defeat extra-special, both the Axe method AND the Fire Flower method.

Because it could be that Nintendo left this great game forgotten, being the first game released for Nintendo, I love it, I always expected to see a Super Mario Advance 5 but at least the fanmade games are unique, although it should have coincided with the improvements if Mario receives damage while in Fire Mario wouldn't become small all at once.

SMA5: SMB and Other Nimaginendo Games (e.g. Super Mario Wonderland) uses Game Maker 8, not GMS 1.4 or 2.0. Newer Mario Fan games (not involved with Nimaginendo) from Gamejolt uses GMS 2.0.

It will be the same thing as the chests in SMB3. The items are already configured to be there. You just need to memorize the order each time you play. In each world it will be a different order.

Still, the game has bright colors, but less compared to the others. In Super Mario Advance 4 the brightness is closer to the SNES.

Also, it should act more like deluxe instead of super Mario bros. 3, and it didn’t need a map, super Mario advance 1 didn’t have one, because Mario 2 didn’t need it. Super Mario bros, doesn’t need it either, so I’m confused at the mere addition of it.
