Complications like perforation can be life long. Even this can be corrected with surgery. If now you have voice change due to deviated septum. Then it may revert to your original voice after surgery if well done

Hi Sir, i have the same issue and doctor asked to do septoplasty. For now i am breathing from one hole of the nose. After surgery you said both the holes will be closed and we can get better breath from nose after 6weeks only, so till then i have to breath from mouth only right.

Doctor I have been facing just blocked nose...any one of the nose is blocked always and when I lie down one side that side of nose is blocked...and mucus is producing frm nose to throat. Am spitting a thick phlegm too...doctor says no congestion in chest. Am suffering a lot with this stuffy nose.
Hi sir I am Udhayakumar from Coimbatore In my small age around 5 or 6 input stick accedently put stick in my nose after that when ever so heat season or very cold session i get bleed when i check with doctor after 18 age can do that so I did at my age 27 age after seen that in my nose have skin problem in inner side they did surgery but openly said even bleed i am in normal i can feel better . childhood mouthbreathing can cause the palate to arch inwards and upwards... Pushing on the space for the septum against the base on the skull. So this causes the septum to buckle on side... But the root issue is the narrow and high palate.... Not the septum itself. How can we treat this with surgery??
Good question. Let me explain. Because of nasal block which can be congenital or developmental, the child tends to breath to mouth. Normally the tongue has to rest against the palate and flatten the palate with the help of buccinator muscles. In case of mouth breathing, due to existing nasal block the tongue does not touch the palate and there is no pull from the buccinator muscles too resulting in high arch. The causes of deviated nasal septum are 1. Birth trauma 2 developmental error 3 racial factor 4.heredity
