Game has no easy mode, game trolls the hell out of you. The devs fucked up the translation between easy and hard on thats one. Or maybe it was on purpose who knows.
I always interpreted it as directed at the player, never thought of it that way.... I mean, the dude is growling the entire song I just assumed it's like the demons trying to mess with Dante's head.
As I can see, we can correlate each line in the first verse for each basic style "The flinch in your eyes calls your bluff" = Gunslinger "Feel free to die when you've had enough" = Swordmaster "Useless cause is breaking your back" = Trickster "Your life will ends when you attack" = Royal Guard
@@LuizHenrique9406 I'd say swordmaster and gunslinger should be switched The rlinch in your eye calls your bluff could refer to how nearly all melee weapons interrupt enemy attack if timed right, therefore you call their bluff. Feel free to die when you've had enough could work for gunslinger as guns are quite weak in this game, so when the enemy dies it could be interpreted as having enough of being shot and stunlocked.
My dad bought me Devil May Cry 1 because I heard it was so awesome, it turned it out to be one of the greatest games I’ve played. Thank you dad for getting me into Devil May Cry.
I would like to thank my cousin for getting me into this game lol. I remember as a teen stumbling across him playing DMC1 one night and seeing all the combos he pulled off with both a gun and a sword. That was the tightest shit I ever seen and I would always keep that memory in the back of my mind as I grew older. He was going to get rid of the game but I asked if I could keep it myself. Thank god he did because I had an absolute blast playing it as an adult. Thanks for carrying on the torch, cousin!
"I have literally no health this is my first playthrough please tell me that this door starts the end-level cutscen-" *_"THE FLINCH IN YOUR EYE-"_* "FUCK!"
I remember getting stuck in every mission as a kid, this game was my introduction to the ¨git gud¨ phrase, to this day i've never faced a greater challenge in any game than the original Ps2 Dmc3
Ive heard it was so much hard that it needed special edition to rebalance it, im now playing version from HD Collection and its a little hard but its amazing game
@@plantplayer303 Fun fact: the American release of dmc3 *defaulted* players on the Japanese hard mode as it's "normal" mode, with American hard mode being it's own unique difficulty that would later be the "very hard" mode we see on the special edition release
The flinch in your eye calls your bluff Feel free to die when you've had enough Useless cause is breaking your back Your life will end when you attack Make your move Make your stand Make the win (ha..) Like you can See the war See me rule See the mirror You’ll see a fool To take me out you must fight like a man (To take me out you must fight like a man) You've yet to prove that you can (You’ve yet to prove me that you can) I see your might and it compares to something (I see your might and it compares to something) That is if something is nothing (That is if something is nothing) Time to figure Time to sin Your times done When you begin Live for suffer Live for revenge Now your life Comes to an end Taste the blood Taste your fate Swallow your pride With your hate Your last breath Your last stance The last of all In your command Knee’s in the (blood) with your crying pleas Wade in your sorrow, bathe in your fear Clear the mind from righteousness suffered Witness the moment of (your) failures prosper
and it's awesome since Devil May Cry knew what it was and didn't try to sound mature, unlike DmC that was so tryhard that it hurt (at least we got Donté and Fedora Vorgil out of it though)
It’s a double edged sword of a song ironically enough. It yells at you to stop being scared and do stupid stuff. It also yells that you just press the buttons and pay attention so the song is in your favor.
*Vergil fight* ''Take me out you must fight like a man'' *1hr later* ''You've yet to prove that you can'' *switches to easymode* ''Swallow your pride with your hate''
If u think these are good lyrics then obvs forgot the lyrics “bury the light deep within cast aside there’s no coming home we’re burning chaos in the wind drifting in the ocean all alone” or “all of these thoughts running through my head arms on fire veins burning red frustration is getting bigger bang bang bang pull my devil trigger” or “you cannot kill me I am omega you cannot kill me I am subhuman”
not really deep but badass for sure, this song is literally dante bloating about him being untouchable and the demons standing 0 chance, pretty in line for young dmc3 dante
I absolutely love how this song either roasts the player or the enemy depending on the context "See the war, see me rule, see the mirror you'll see a fool" "I see your might and it compares to something, that is if something is nothing" gotta be my favorite
Time to figure Time to sin You're time is done, When you begin Live for suffer Live for revenge Now your life Comes to an end TASTE THE BLOOD Taste your fate Swallow your pride With your hate Your last breath Your last stance The last of all With your command EPIC
This game is such a timeless masterpiece. In today's gaming standards, new gamers will cringe at some of the most ridiculous moments of this game. Kinda sad.
Dunno if it was intentional from the developers but there are certain enemies like the bomb skeleton or the weird phoenix they go on beat with the ost the moment you hit them and i love it such a cool feature
I saw my mom playing Devil May Cry, if memory serves me right i think it was Devil May Cry 4 but i could be mistaken, and when i asked about it she said it was one of the greatest games shes ever played. Thanks mom for exposing me to Devil May Cry. Truly like mother like son
I wish my mom is like yours, my mom is just a literal boomer who thinks videogames is all about violence while the only games she ever played are million Mario clones on mobile
I SEE YOUR MIGHT IT COMPARES TO SOMETHING, THAT IS IF SOMETHING IS NOTHING is the most badass line in any song ever and it makes me laugh like a school girl every time
This for me the best DMC game in terms of Dante’s portrayel as a true badass bastard hero. Dude is young, cocky, still respectful, nice to humans, caring, badass with weapons, got a super high swag in his fighting technique, is great looking and has got a really corny sense of humour. In DMC1 and 2 they showed Dante as serious as hell type which makes sense as those parts are set way after this one and he suffers trauma of losing his brother Vergil to Mundus. Then in DMC4 we see him goof around a bit but now he’s grown into a 40 yr old something adult. He still got the sense of humour and the game did full justice on showing how extremely powerful Dante is compared to Nero as Nero has to rely completely on Yamato and his Devil Trigger to win boss fights while Dante defeats pretty much all of them in just his base form with no sweat dripped. He even manhandles Nero in Nero’s Devil Trigger form without himself transforming. Then in DMC5, he is in his late 40’s or something from his looks at least, and while he is a lot stronger than before and is funny and sassy, him not being young doesn’t makes his swag and style seem sexy. More like an old dad being dad lol.
I find DMC3 Dante to be his most interesting iteration. He's cool, he's goofy, just like the other Dantes, but he's also a pompous dickhead. His original selfish motivations for hunting devils and fighting Vergil eventually being overtaken by a desire to do whats right is pretty compelling.

I absolutely love how this song represents young Dante's arrogance and edginess! And the next combat song "Divine Hate" represents his angst and rage, because he hasn't yet matured, but he IS beginning to. I also love, of course, how freaking kick ass both tracks are! Let's rock!!!

DmC:DMC was a successful gateway for me. Might not have been the best but it's because it's not that blew my socks off when I played 3. "This game's pretty fun. What do you mean it's considered one of the worst!? The better ones must be amazing then!" Thanks DmC:DMC.
Bathe in the blood of your crying pleas, wade in your sorrow.... Taste the FEAR. Clear the Mind of Righteousness suffered, witness of moment of failure PROSPER. Deep stuff.
This is so dope! Easily one of my most favorite battle themes in any video game if not the entire Devil May Cry series aside from DMC5's bangers(Devil Trigger, Crimson Cloud, Subhuman not the OG, and Bury The Light)! This party really is getting crazy!
So as far as I’m aware the VOCAL tracks in the game, as in the ones with lyrics are: Divine Hate Devils Never Cry Taste the Blood Cerberus/Beowulf battle Devils Never Cry and Divine Hate have the same chorus, the part with the softer more poetry oriented vocals is the same in both songs, so their basically the same song just with different harsh vocals I’ve noticed that a lot of the music in this game, while being awesome, is just remixes of the same songs.
my dad had dmc3 on the pc and i didnt know that until i saw him play i was like "hey whats that game" and he was like "oh its dmc3 wanna play" and thats when i got introduced to dmc3 i remember i used to alwas reset the game and most of the time i didnt get pass cerberus and this music i remember it being so good back then and it still is
