Showcasing the Gilgamesh, Pandora's Box, Lucifer, and Yamato. I'd like to credit Capcom and the all the designers & composers for creating this kickass game. *Remember to watch this in HD for full effect
This should be nathan drake, and lara croft's friggin CATCHPHRASE! Cause every artifact they find always turns out to be bad for humanity when they find it.
I love that one of Dante's superhuman abilities is just being able to use any weapon instinctively. It kind of makes sense when you consider his mixed heritage, but mostly it makes for a really fun game formula
@@trevorburke8660 clearly he's a battlemaster with some form of homebrew bullshitery + gunner feat, stinger is lunging strike and the entire trickster archetype is just evasive footwork with different movements for example
I love how pissed Dante was when Trish threw salt at him, when Nero kiss the priestess. "At least someone knows how to get the girl." But in his defence, trish looks like his mother.
@@Not_Alan_Wake They're just friends with Lady, Lucia is baisically non existent and Patty is underage... Not that it matters. It's clear the only two people that really matter the most to him are Vergil and Nero. Sooo you want to ship Dante with them?😶
@@Not_Alan_Wake she exists in the game Capcom is ashamed of. How long did summary of DMC 2 in compilation lasts, 3-4 seconds? She was in the novel only because continuity for what, two pages? She wasn't even mentioned in 5, mind you. Unlike, say Patty
Sinrai Paleodemon Since Dante is a demon he could make a contract with Bayonetta. Then she could summon him by stripping, but Dante would surely not be 100% concentrated when he gets summuned by a sexy witch :D
"First I whip it out! Then I thrust it! With great force! Every angle..! It penetrates! Until…! With great strength…! I… ram it in! In the end… We are all satisfied… and you are set free…!" 4:20
@@kurozunakabuto9682 The real reason right here: Not because of the hair... Not because of the rip-off plot and poor development... It's because that bastard got LAID!!! HOW DAREEEEE!!!!
Love how he grew from his DMC 3 self yet still retains his personality from back then albeit Mature. Was sold when he Taunted Nero with revving up his Sword haha
Fun fact: at this time in the series, the guns actually have ".45 art *warks*" engraved on them, due to reasons I can't be bothered to list. Dante got the typo fixed before 5, though.
if i learned anything from playing some of the devil may cry games and watching dante get a new weapon it's that dante is a massive showoff which is not bad but dude why does he have to be so awesome
+Fonch Z This is late but honestly there isn't much change. DMC1 was a bit more serious but had his jokes. 2 was completely different as he was very quiet and serious in nature. 3 was like 4's basically.
Whoever did the storyboard for the Gilgamesh cutscene was without a doubt a huge Bruce Lee fan. 0:40 Bruce's hypnosis from Fist of Fury 0:45 Bruce's famous one inch punch 1:10 Bruce's trademark nose flick
Not quite, Dante can use Yamato because it belonged to his father Sparda. Sparda and his descendants can use it, but ONLY Vergil can use Yamato's full power and potential, as he has been training and studying the power of this sword since Sparda's disappearance/death. Vergil's strongest strike, Judgement Cut, the one seen in DMC 5 or the short "I am the Storm that is Aproaching", can only be performed by him, Nero could only perform version from the DLC "Vergil's Downfall". Nero, despite the fact that he is the son of Vergil and what follows the grandson of Sparda, cannot use the full power and potential of Yamato.
@@JackTheRipperk5 Nero uses a "phantom" of yamato in one of moves in his moveset, but he doesn't do a judgement cut. If you think that Nero can do judgement cuts similar to those what vergil from reboot does, then I think you didn't play dmc5 or dmc4 to this day
Well considerar that he has fought 3 times against vergil and prolly when they were kids as well so he kinda knows what moves are efficient with yamato heck he was cut like cheeze with it so he knows where the cuts have to be done so yeah he flashes cuz its fucking dante but that only makes it even cooler
Justin Conrad still he with yamato felt unloving since yamato user has to be calm to use it to the fulest while dante hahahaha the most dickest person you can find
Soon it's gonna be eleven and knocked up, read about it recently and it's disgusting like 3rd world country tap water. Next is either your guilty conscience takes ya for a ride ya won't soon forget or.. we enter the tunnel of that weird head guy in ninja gaiden two that gets knocked for a loop.
KueN' TiN This is a game series about a half-demon demon hunter who eats pizza, does Bruce Lee impressions, and has saved the world several times using magical weapons forged from demons' souls and handguns. What about the concept of a magical morphing box is bullshit here?
It still baffles me that Trish decided to hand over Sparda - the most dangerous demon weapon she or Dante have ever encountered - when Dante had at least five other weapons to choose from.
Sparda is also partly the perfect amulet, all of the hell gates that Sparda sealed involved the amulet in one way or the other....handing over sparda likely is what allowed the order to open the hell gates and create demons and empower themselves with demonic power etc....this exposed them as the shady organisation they really were.
you can't deny it... Dante is one exciting, fun and memorable character to play. I like his personality in the 3rd & 4th installment. The 1st & 2nd were too serious. No comment on the 5th one coz well... it's different
A great example of "Show! Don't Tell" Dante get's a weapon, he shows how it works and how badass Dante is. Now we talk about the travesty DmC Redundancy, where you get a weapon, but Dino don't show how cool the weapon is, it just appears on his hands and it is just that. The connection with the hero and weapon is made when the hero demonstraste how he uses the weapon the moment he picks up, giving you a taste of how he handles said weapon.
A crossover of DMC and Bayonetta would be nice. Two worlds merging with angels and demons mixed up in the different levels. Dante/Vergil fighting Bayo/Jeanne.
+Ty “Metroidsia” Spikes God, just imagining the banter between Dante and Bayonetta during the fight. Most everyone would need a cold shower after those two go at it.
Vasto Lorde Perhaps, Kamiya stated he despite the odds being even or even above for him, Dante would forfeit because he has a weakness for chicks that are up on his level. I personally dont care, it would be a good fight regardless lol
I like how they didn't let Nero get those new weapons or finish off the bosses in the end. It's like the creators said... "Nero, you can't have the big weapons or finish off the big bosses, Dante will handle all that. Sure you can get some items and fight the bosses a bit but Dante's gonna finish the whole Job. You have to play Damsel in distress until the end. Deal?"
maya summers Actually, he was actually planned to have Devil Arms and his own bosses. The only reason this didn't happen is because Crapcom cut the budget and development time and forced them to release this game early.
Yeah its awesome that the game made it clear that Dante could have mopped everything with ease like he was taking a morning walk but being the cool uncle that he is let the lil boy handle it.
@@everythingyoucantouchandse6786 according to one of the devs thats not true, dante was always meant to be in the game but due to the short time they had it came out rushed
Actually, if you had noticed. Dante always aimed his slash at the same spot, thus making it as only on cut in the end. What made the Gate fall was the sound vibration from sheathing Yamato.
I love it when Dante takes out the Yamato and talks about how the Demon Gate is a cultural artifact, but bad for the community. Made me think that this series is more modern than I give it credit for.
Gilgamesh = The Martial Arts Gauntlet and Boots. Pandora = The Magic Firearm Briefcase. Lucifer = A Jetpack with Needles. Yamato = Vergil's Space-Time Katana Blade
Colorao Dib if you had played devil may cry three you would know of the brotherly love* between vergil and dante. dante uses the guns - ebony and ivory - so when he meets vergil he points a gun at him saying does he want a kiss from him ( his gun anyhow ) I played it years ago and still know this - lol I'm sure someone will either drop a link to the fight or paste the script.
I'm pretty sure everyone knows this, but I like that subtle touch of how he takes the devil arms. See how he stays in his spot when he tries to take Pandora? It's referring to a ranged weapon. The others, Gilgamesh and Lucifer, were melee, so he walked over to pick it up. Just wanna put it out there.
Delvan Beavers Makes sense. I mean Nero was still cool in my opinion but I his arsenal was pretty common outside of Red Queen. Grapple Weapon Low powers gun Rage meter Weapon And slow down time.
Scott Price also nero was supposed to have his only difference styles like Dante DMC4 was supposed to have four years of development plan but crapcom cut it to two years.
Delvan Beavers Make sense, I heard Capcom rushed the game somewhat. To be fair though despite my minor annoyance with Nero's arsenal, while the story was quite simple and straight forward...it was really well down and enjoyable. I no longer own the game myself but I love coming back and watching the cutscenes.
Man, watching the old clips and playing the old games makes me sad now. We will never see this Dante again. How is screaming curse words all the time supposed to be cool?
bob boberson A rumor is hope though let the people hope. Honestly I would be happy to have Dante back to normal. I wouldn't have minded the reboot so much if they hadn't tried to shoehorn this Dante's personality into their redone look.
Capcom gave birth to a difficult child, he was too much for his own parents . So they tried to change he three times (DMC2 the cold plain Dante, DMC4 romantic usurper Nero, DmC dirty mouth neo-Dante, AKA Donte) but every time Dante from the 1st brights more, they end seeing that their concept of good character is not the cliche of cold, romantic knight or a bully, but the concept of people: only the difficult child they gave birth from the start.
Back in the Dante's youth, powerful demons were accepting of their defeat and would gladly help him on his journey. Nowadays, they just complain and won't give up anything. How times have changed.
DMC4 Dante is one of my favourites by far, right up with 3, 5 and 1. I mean, they're all technically the same, but still, every Dante is a fucking badass, and yes, even emo Dante and DMC2s "I don't talk I just jump from walls sometimes and look grumpy" Dante.
Agree. There will be always full of people trying to justify which DMC is the best bla bla bla bla. Or somehow having their free time to just roasting DmC reboot non stop (its getting old really, stop it). Comparing Dante's personality this and that. Nonsense. Pure nonsense. No wonder some people almost going to call it "the worst fandom" along with Sonic and others.
