I can't wait to be in a city i don't live in just to be in a lockdown there and have demons falling from the sky wich gives me miniscule chances of surviving WOOHOO
I love how this music practically conveys different feelings depending on which Septentrione you fight. Note that there will be Spoilers, so sorry. Dubhe: It's nothing more than a desperate situation. You can't harm it in any way like you could the demons; your only hope is to run and hope you live long enough to escape. Merak: This is our first prepared battle against a Septentrione. We know what we're getting into as opposed to being caught by surprise and forced to merely run away. Phecda: The Septentriones have now officially infiltrated the base and the Nagoya branch of JPs is under threat. Megrez: Now the entire area under JPs control is under threat of Dubhes that have now been recognized as basic missile and infiltration units. They're thankfully not yet mature units, but they will continually spawn so long as the main controller lives. Alioth: Another infiltration controller that, unlike Megrez, uses buds of itself to debilitate all those in range with its poison. That said, it threatens everyone with a slower and more agonizing death while trying to severely limit where the JPs agents can freely move. Mizar: Immune to conventional and demon attacks, there is no way to engage it properly. The only hope is to use the power of the Dragon Stream which has been keeping the world's impending doom at bay. Using it means foregoing the sacred barrier protecting Tokyo, but it'll give one more day to save the world! Benetnasch: With the Administrative System becoming desperate, they now employ their last Septentrione. With the power of all the Septentriones before it, this becomes an epic battle of both skill and luck, one who's outcome will dictate the fate of the entire world! And that's not mentioning how everyone will only have whatever they have equipped to work with. Alcor: A Septentrione due to its close relation with Mizar; he is the final obstacle barring us from going to Polaris. He is also a good friend and ally in our cause who must unfortunately be taken down if we're to see our plan come to fruition. First Phase of Polaris: We've finally made it to the end of the journey. All that's left is for us to prove our worth to the Administrator herself and to show we are worthy of having our dreams of a reborn world become a reality!
fennofir Everyone seems to hate Mizar the most, but I found his attacks limited in scope. Alioth, on the other hand, is a status-effect fiend with a huge range even without his Neurotoxin cloud. I found either him or Benetnasch to be the hardest. Still nothing compared to the Bel demons from last game- they don't heal themselves for 400+ every battle or hit everyone on the map at once.
If you have a 3ds then SMT IV is a good game to start. Nocturne and the Digital Devil Saga series are also good SMT games to start with. But if you love the gameplay of DeSu 2 then get Desu 1, it's hard as hell compared to 2.
Alcor and Phecda. During my first playthrough, I focused on maxing my Ma then Ag, so when the physical counter-part started attacking my MC, all I could do was guard for the whole turn because my MC's team was mostly for magic nukes. Alcor because... he spams random mobs and he's too adorable to kill.
Dee Cuzo Plus, it's broken limbs would just grab on to the edge of the building while you're all the way across the map. First time I fought Mizar, I didn't even notice. I was like, "Wait, why is he not dyi- OH MY GOD WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN AND WHY."
without comparing with desu1... dubhe: piece of cake merak: normal phecda: is it even a boss? megrez: hard alioth: another piece of cake mizar: DAMN HARD benetnasch: normal
Didn't played DEsu 2 yet, but from what I heard, is DEsu 2 easier ? DEsu 1 bosses: Wendigo: piece of cake Beldr: HOLY SHIT HE NULLIFIES EVERYTHING Belial: WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME GAME Jezebel: Normal Belzaboul: HOLY SHIT THERE'S MOSQUITTO EVERYWHERE Belberith: IS THIS FIGHT EVEN POSSIBLE Babel: Hard but not as hard as Belberith Loki: Esay as pie, that deathbound tho Metatron: STOP HEALING YOURSELF YOU PIECE OF ! DID YOU JUST MEGIDOLAON ME ? FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK I WAS SO CLOSE... Wait no, I WASN'T CLOSE, METATRON YOU PIECE OF SHIT STOP HEALING YOURSELF
My first fight with Mizar's little chubs went swimmingly. I thought, "Ah! An easy Septentrione! Cool!" Then I got to the actual fight...Boy...There's a reason I haven't started a new game.
For some reasons....only the septentriones starting with 'm' are hard. Merak, megrez and mizar required you to move fast and know what theyre gonna do on what positions. Dubhe is basically like beldr, without vampiric mist. So basically a pushover. Phecda? If you have a mix of phy users and magic users youll do fine. Alioth is just a chill fight. The only demons he summons are the buds....which are weak to ice or fire (cant remember). They cant move, so just move past them and itll be fine. Place down the neutralizer and you can easily get close and trash him. Benatasch? Evil flow.
What I do for Megrez is I have three of my characters with a demon that has Devil Speed and a demon that has either flight or phantasm. I deal first with all of the miasmas, then I send out my three characters to the three points that I know Megrez is going to float to while keeping the forth on the dock before the branch to deal with the pods. Make sure all teams have the ability to heal and have at Megrez.
Well I think picking team Tokyo or Nagoya would be a good idea because you have access to more members in Tokyo and Fumi in Nagoya (who has god magic) You'll want to have a handful of demons that have Ice dance as that can really hurt Megrez (Mabufu if you have no other option). Also, having an avian is key in this battle as it allows you to reach the center of the map on the first round to remove the miasma. Then just proceed with caution (healing) and win the fight.
Is it odd that I have like... 4 playthroughs, and have not yet encountered the time limits on Megrez or Mizar? I mean, even the playthrough I did with MC going solo, I had no trouble with time limits.
@slasherex1 yeah, i was using nagoya the whole time. dat fumi. i beat him after making that post anyway. then alioth came along. oh boy, screw that guy and the stupid legions. screw them all. then mizar was annoying as hell, but not particularly difficult. hope benesnatch is not as tough as alioth was, or i am in for a treat.
oh yeah by the way if you keep balanced stats all the way to lvl 99 your highest stat will be 29 oddly enough high enough to use every single skill as everything else will be 28 (strength is the only reason one stat is over 28 as you have 5 base strength and all others were 4...just to say when im done might only have like 32 magic...
This game was and is fun but get's really hard to lvl up after awhile I mean in the main story once your fighting lvl 65's the random enemies are barely lvl 50 and your around lvl 58-60 which is bad since the boss you need to fight only demons can harm him and you can summon more after they get killed due to the boss effect..which is annoying example on the main character I actually have 2 lvl 66 demons one is lugh(by the way he's kinda a spoiler to mention) and a cerberus
Well I went with Airi, Jungo and Fumi but Fumi dies extremely quickly so it screwed me over at one point I ended up actually using strategy the second time first time I stupidly made everyone move together so that really messes ppl up also almost killed Mizar yesterday but he managed to somehow kill both Jungo and Otome...I understand to a degree how but Jungo had null physical on and leaders soul so it didn't really make any sense how Jungo died (he had fire demons with him)
that's the next boss for me I'm going to use my same old strategy I normally use pincer then have mc sweep he is my best sweeper despite not being much of a nuker my stats are this ST:13 MA:18 VT:12 and I have 14 agility I think
ST:24 MA: 14 VT: 18 AG: 13 level 52/53. Does agility do much? And I'm all for Alcor's route so it's the shining duo. I hate how suddenly all the non-important people are strong and Shiva appears. And to top it off, we only have two people.
For me it was: Ice cream cone: Easy once the event happened. Ice pop: Where the heck is it's range? Geez those demons and BIND. Light saber twin rings: Oh just die already. Spike and chain: FUCK YOU AND YOUR TIME LIMIT. Bloody poison pokemon: Well there goes the "nobody dies in my team," mission I wanted to do. Gemini: WELL HELL ANOTHER TIME LIMIT BOSS. Cake Boss: BLAH. For Yamato: Kill the demons first than him. Why did you not set up MC as an attack/magic nuke ._.;;
lvl 61 now have to fight Benny tried a test attempt already.......yeah his range is major bs..and why does star pressure hit so much damage? also oddly he does nothing to anguished one's party managed to take out 80% of his hp before deciding I wanted to train abit more.
I don't understand the time limits thingy...I though they called you whenever you did so much damage to megrez......there's a timer on pheceda too by the way if he fuses amd defuses enough dark thunder hit's 999 damage on everyone....oddly enough hit's zero on Ronaldo...
nope only know it's from the fourth game but not exact song generally this song but this sounds more remixed then the dynasty warriors one...(I think made by the same person may be why)
this game seems fair with difficulty in my opnion until benesnatch.....let's just say it's "that one boss" he can attack 6-10 times in one turn only demons can hurt him and if they die you can't re summon anything but for me i lucked out abit while everyone else dies for whatever reason my character is immune too all damage the boss hit's so yeah...
Nooo come ON IT GETS TO MOVE AGAIN? WHY DOES IT GET SO MANY TURNS? WHAT THE FUCK IT KILLED OTOME AND JUNGO AT THE SAME TIME? Come on! COME ON- and my healer's dead! Fucking great! WHY IS THERE MORE OF THEM? WHY IS THERE FOUR OF THEM? Get out of my way demons, WHO CASTED BIND ON ME?
True but against the septentrions it kinda kills em since they usually do stupid single hit moves. I managed to beat alioth in 2 turns because of it he hit zero damage on the mc which is good as he get's to attacks per only other boss that is annoying for that for me was ghost q
Yeah wasn't fun also I was surprised to find I had his stats when I got him...my stats are (lvl 55) st:16 ma:22 vit:15 ag:18.......anyway yeah his route is hard considering first fight has the strongest physical party member in the game.....also why does Shiva need to help Hinako WHY!!!!!!! atleast I don't have to beat shiva even though he's alone he's a higher lvl then polaris.....
I'm on mizar and I almost beat him but then it decided to kill off my allies. ._. I'm developing a dislike to mizar. He's kinda annoying and I'm totally like Daichi when it had the two ball-ish-short arms. "JUST GIVE UP ALREADY. THIS IS STARTING TO GET ANNOYING." Ronaldo's made up magic. And with Yamato calling every now and so saying "50% left..." I'm like "I'M TRYING MY BEST!" .-.
