A rematch for those 2 is mandatory. Regardless of how anyone feels about the officiating Devon and Genadi put on an absolute masterclass display of what superior arm wrestling looks like and i would love to see it again
Devon had round 1 The rest is history And, start making plans to have these East guys travel further West more Team East kicked our asses, yes. But cmon already we’re 7 events deep. Genadi Jerry elbows too
No. Re-matches are not determined based on how man fans are having a hissy-fit because their hero lost. That's 2 Super Heavy losses in a row. Sit and wait your turn in line.
Because most people came there for 3-4 matches. I personally wanted to watch Vitaly and Tobias, Devon vs Genadi, Irakli vs Ongarbaev. Also, because most of those close matches didn't have ref'ing that was controversial as fk. It's not deep.
@@roybatty- You're forgetting the fact Devon caught a lot of Genadi's press and pulled him back all the way... the press was good, but that didn't get him the win, he won cause Devon overestimated his own endurance... Devon was visibly toying with Genadi as well. The commentators said it, the other elite arm wrestlers say it in their reaction videos...
Because the refree stop DEVON when genady lose at first round,, and shout many time devon sholder and let genady sholder get inside, Devon is set up to lose, engin like genady in his video he always defend bad coment about genady before the match, and laugh when someone bad coment about devon larrat
Devon had it and i was rooting for him.. he just played too much games and therefore lost. lesson learned . First round he should have pinned him. He gave that round to genadi. I would love the rematch to be at kott and no where else. It seems that every arm wrestler that has done that event have been doing good at kott and it seems more intense.
I'd love to see a rematch, but where I differ is that I don't think it has to happen immediately. Even if you ARE someone who things the reffing was shady, this is not the first time something like this has happened in armwrestling or sports in general. People are acting like this was the greatest travesty ever, like the 1972 USA Olympic Basketball team (if you know, you know) Poor Paul Linn practically had to pin the guy for eternity until the refs gave him the round. He exerted a lot of unnecessary energy getting that pin. Then he gassed. Should he get a rematch? A close battle doesn't always necessitate an immediate rematch Looking at it from Genadi's POV, there are other whales in the sea to go after. He could agree if he wants a big payout from battling Devon again, OR (and this is important) if he himself feels the refs gave the match to him. He's not obligated to do it quickly just because it's hard on Devon to maintain this weight. That's Devon's problem and not his I'd love to see it, but just not right away.
I disagree. It’d be more interesting for close matches or matches deemed unfairly reffed should happen sooner than later so that the athletes can prove it wasnt just reffing that caused the result. We honestly NEVER see immediate rematches in armwrestling and i think it would add something rly exciting to the community. It’s common in so many other sports
I think Devon definitely was stronger and more technical than Genadi, I think a rematch should only have one result, if Devon learned, then he wins. Refs aside, Devon kinda played around, he shouldn't have... I believe Devon should have won, at any point, just don't fk around again. as we can see he suffers in endurance when he's slightly bigger. But man, I was screaming like a little girl when Devon caught 2 or 3 of Genadi's presses. That surprised me a lot... It's like they switched roles xD Genadi was good on endurance, Devon got the strength.
@@Ghost-vs4gl c'est ça, c'est genadi qui pousse devon à replacer son coude, il voulait éventuellement le sortir hors du pad, ct ça la technique genadi. Un coude lever de 3 cm en plein champ de vision de l'arbitre ^^
Its not as simple as that though. Devons endurance disappeared in an offensive position, due to Genadi being a bit stronger overall. In a defensive position Devons endurance would have still been great, as that's what he trains for essentially.
genadi didnt cheate that devon pull his hand back and because he have longer hand genadi lifted his hand by exident and still devon was first who sliped his arm out of pad
Lifting hands off the pad, is lifting the hands off the pad... There's no need to rationalize it, it wasn't called, and that's bad ref'ing... And Devon was in a press, Devon couldn't have made him lift his hand. Genadi fouled first by lifting and it wasn't called. And no camera angles showed Devon was off the pad. The camera angle we got showed he was on the pad. It's 100% a robbery.
A fair ref is all that the community wants. Devon has yet to say a single bad thing about the reffing yet the community is quite conflicted about it which paints a pretty clear picture already
The ranking for everything besides number #1 might have shifted around a little after having it be an official loss for Devon but he’s still tops in this forever changing revolving ranking system. Just because Genadi gets a win over Devon doesn’t put him in the top 5 either. Anything besides one can change after any given match. At this point it’s just guys trying to check names off the list to get to that number 2 spot, and then they still can’t beat Levan. So we are gonna see a lot of match ups and just about everyone lose to everyone besides Levan losing to anyone for now. It’s gonna make for some interesting times. Denis and Zaur have yet to mix it up so I can’t wait. Ermes is gonna get hit with a wave of opponents. So basically you got one big shark, a bunch of other sharks, and some Legendary sharks. 😆
For so many years, gayvon was getting away with sooooo many fouls no1 has noticed, especially during WAL events. To the point he gets away with insults to the judges and cuz of peer pressure he puts on them, he gets an advantage. For once, karma fought back and that loss is exactly what he deserves. And he fuking knows that.
