The Legend of Zelda Tears of The Kingdom (TOTK) is one of the most anticipated Nintendo games - and games in general - of 2023. Fortunately, I was in Japan a week after the games release, so as a result, there were marketing specials, and corporate specialty promotions going on everywhere. Lawson which is one of the top convenience store chains in Japan, second to franchise giant 7-Eleven was one of those corporations that decided they wanted to jump on the Legend of Zelda hype train. So they released a series of specialty foods to celebrate the release of the highly anticipated game. Those food items included: a spicy karaage (chicken) nugget, specifically honoring the super aggressive cucco bird, that attacks Link if he hits them in game, the hearty truffle-scented mushroom focaccia, monster meat curry bread, hearty salmon and fresh milk clam chowder, curry rice balls with powdered Goron spices, and the tsurugi banana au lait a cold beverage inspired by Clan Yiga’s favorite snack: the Mighty Bananas. I only tried the spicy pepper cucco karaage chicken nuggets in this video! Apologies I didn't have time for more! But please let me know if you were able to try the other food items. I would love to hear about how they tasted. Also, I am just now playing TOTK on my Nintendo Switch, so I'd love to hear how you all are liking or not liking this Breath of the Wild (BOTW) sequel.
