Join us in this window cleaning business vlog as we delve into the debate between DIY (DI) Water Fed Pole Systems and traditional methods! We address a comment from a viewer asking why we didn't use our DI Water Fed System on a particular job, and this video helps to shed some light on that question. There's much to discuss about whether a DI Water Fed System is necessary on every job or not, and it often comes down to preference and personal opinion. While our Xero DI Water Fed System has been the BEST investment we've made in this business, saving time and energy and making inaccessible windows easy to clean from the ground, we believe it's not necessary on every job site. In our opinion, it's a tool to be used when needed but not solely relied upon. We think EVERY window cleaner should be experienced in traditional cleaning. We LOVE our Xero DI Water Fed System and NEED it for some jobs, but we do not rely on it exclusively. Share your thoughts on using a water fed pole system and instances when you would or would not use it. Don't forget to LIKE & SUBSCRIBE for more insightful content, and use the link below to purchase any of your window cleaning supplies, including the DI Water Fed System that we personally use and LOVE!

Puff.. I am just surmising, because I have not made the jump to waterfed yet… but would it be as efficient to clean the frames and glass once.. let it drip , and then hit everything again on a first time clean? It may seem slower, it may be faster/ better results than doing a ton of touch ups … I don’t think your hourly was too low… I think it was underpriced for the level of dirt and debris .. but it sounds like any higher and it was $0 per hour … so I would take it … soon enough you won’t have to my friend .. or not very often . Keep on crushing it , Puff!!

I’m starting this business, where I live we reach 100+ Fahrenheit so I need a water fed pole right off the bat plus I’ll be using it to clean solar panels.. but I’ll be doing traditional aswell

Hi there. Currently I have 30 clients every month and there is a big chance to get the double. But someone mentioned to use deionized system to do it more efficiently. I am trying to make a decision but I can't find anyone to confirm that it will be more efficient. Currently I am using the traditional squeegee. Any advice will be really appreciated.

It all comes down to preference, but in certain instances a waterfed system will save you a ton of time. However If it was a really small job I wouldn’t even bother pulling it out to set up. Definitely a tool worth having though

Yo i love the content bro, im thinking of starting my own business. I am confused about the screen part of window washing. Does it require me to go into every customers house to remove every individual screen? Or can I do it from the outside of the house. The screens seem like the most tedious part of the job.
@Puffwindowcleaning
@Puffwindowcleaning Год назад
Screens aren’t too bad, but a little boring. You can remove them from inside the house or from the ladder outside. It all really comes down to preference and the circumstances of the job

You need a Xero micro pole, the most versatile for ground level since you don’t have to pull apart
@Puffwindowcleaning
@Puffwindowcleaning Год назад
I saw they have a few versions of the micro. Which would you recommend?
@stillXpist
@stillXpist Год назад
@@Puffwindowcleaning I use the micro ultra light daily, I like it because you don’t have to drop sections to get a lighter pole so you’re saving some time there… I use the micro ultra light or the destroyer, they’re always in the van for the go to poles

@@stillXpist nice, I’ll have to order one soon and try it out

What do you do for those water spots that are nearly impossible to remove? Have you came across some that are very very permanent how do you approach it and how do you talk to the customer about it?

How much money should you make with traditional window cleaning before investing in a wfp system?
@mikesniedze9122
@mikesniedze9122 Год назад
It’s not about how much you should make.. it’s about how well you can clean traditionally.. unless you only do exteriors.. even then, on a lot of first time cleans, it’s good to get nose to glass, then it’s ready for waterfed… you could get waterfed from day one, but if you wait a season or two… you will likely be a better window cleaner… at least better sooner .. just my opinion .. I’m waiting to get my waterfed until next season, and I have a few seasons under my belt .
@NahJit_Trippin

@@mikesniedze9122 so you recommend experience over sales? I’m sort of just curious on what investments I should make , since I got my first month down with about $1250 in sales
@mikesniedze9122
@mikesniedze9122 Год назад
That’s a strong first month… what you equip yourself with is up to you, … I would personally ally focus on getting clients and getting experience.. I would , for myself , wait until I could get a very stiff pole ( that sounds bad haha) and skip the entry level hybrid or more flexible carbon fibre .. I am lucky where I live the tea is under 50 and could do DI only, but I will likely get an Ro/DI system anyway … I would like the biz to pay for it and not finance … focus on advertising , and doing excellent work …waterfed is a tool.. just learn to use all your tools as well as you can , exceed expectations …. Enjoy it my friend . Life is short

All depends on your setup with life, bills, business, expenses, etc. About 6 months into my business I did an estimate at a home that had a few windows that required a wfp. At that point I had saved up enough from window cleaning to buy one outright. Good luck bro, you’ll know when you’re ready 🤙
