DIABLO 4 Lilith Vs Church Priest Cinematic 4K 

Fun fact that I completely forgot about until just now, Lilith is literally one of humanity's ancestors. She and her Angel husband Inarius along with many rogue angels and demons created Sanctuary and became the parents of the Nephalem, whose descendants would later be humanity. Diablo fans will probably already know this, but I'm saying this for those who don't know. Edit: Goodness, I'm talking about Diablo's lore on Lilith. Why is everyone talking about the Lilith from Jewish mythology?

The voice of the priest saying, 'Vani, it's me. I brought your child into this world' before being killed by them deserves an Oscar. Lilith´s voice actress is awesome too

"Salvation lies not in the light, but in you." This is the biggest line in the whole sequence, I think.

This is incredible. You can see clearly how she's a princess of Hell and the villain of this story, but you can also see how someone like Inarius would fall for her.

Very scary scene. It would have been boring and predictable if she had just killed everyone or the Priest herself, but actually inciting the villagers to brutally murder the Priest themselves is just terrifying.

For some reason I love the way she says “My Children” like in a motherly evil way

When she descends..."My children" So good. Reminds me Akasha in Queen of the Damned by how she says that.

As a dude that read Diablo lore back like 20 years ago, I never thought I’d see this.

So far, I've seen no one mentioning a little, yet very impactful part of this. When the woman with blue eyes (Vani) watches the priest with hope, he cast it away with blame an insult for everyone. Calling them sinner with, or without, reason. Maybe they were, maybe not. But they clearly live in a frozen place. A harsh frozen place. Instead of giving hope, inspiring them, he puts them down. Then comes Lilith. She gives hope. Saying strengh is within. That sin is a part of humanity. Seemingly more open-minded. One want to condemn all, the other want to make them embrace who they truly. Breaking chains of submissiveness. Giving hope. Giving what they need so much. That's why her words works, why she manages to convince everyone's heart in a few well-chosen words. Well, that and maybe some otherworldly magic, who knows. Then come the frenzy. The foly. The abandonment. One ask for extreme control and eternal guilt, the other for extreme liberty and unhinged desire. Neither is good, it's all about the in-between.

Finally a good depiction of demons in gaming, deceitful and horrible. The fact many players believe Lilith is an alternative to other demons means the developers did their homework.

For those who don't know this is just an ingame cutscene, not even a cinematic. Goes to show even the cutscenes of this game are going to look beautiful when the full game releases!!!

Now I can finally see now why Inarius tapped that 🥵

It took 3 minutes and 48 seconds for Lilith to be more terrifying than the Lord of Terror ever was.

I just completed this cinematic in-game and I loved how beautiful and brutal it was. Amazing!

To those who didn't know: Lilith has her own desires and she's against the Hell's main goal. She thinks such priests poison humans' minds. UPD: Lilith's main purpose is to weoponize humans and destroy Heaven and Hell.

I suddenly have a burning desire in me... to replay DOOM Eternal.

It's in-game engine cutscene... Lilith started sanctuary with Angel Inarius. Her work is probably trying to stop the eternal heaven hell war her father Mephisto and uncles haven't succeeded ending.

What the hell? This is kind of insanely good, i didnt expect much from modern blizzard but if these cinematics are all we get id still be happy. Its just so perfect.

this is amazing, like its one thing to just put on her description that she's good at manipulating hearts and minds ... but actually executing it so perfectly that me as a viewer would totally fall for it, (its so motherly and caring when in reality she is using humans) ...is just soo good

For those who don't know. Angels in Diablo also had a shakey history with Humans: they held a vote to destroy Sanctuary because "OMG DEMON BLOOD" that was vetoed by non-other than Tyrael, and I think another buddy... maybe. It's no more than a handful of Angels that didn't outright saw Humanity/Nephalem as target for a giant can of angelic bug spray. Lilith and Inarius may have been the source of humanity, but it didn't necessarily meant that Lilith was 100% agreeing with Inarius's ideals and vice versa. The only thing they fully agreed on was being sick of constant warfare. It was a biblical booty call for all I care. As for why angels are starting to be friendlier to humans: was literally the entire story of D3 that eventually convinced the rest of the angels to not see humans as vermin. Let's also not forget the issue that was the Worldstone, the Nephalem, Diablo and his homies, and the bugger that's Izual!

The Lords of Hell are coming to devour our World. sent shivers down my spine. I must see Diablo, Baal and Mephisto in this game or the expansion!!!

The sound is incredible on this one, especially about lilith's leather clothes... omg !

I hope we see lots more of Elias...love the look of him and hope they dont just make his storyline minor and forgettable.

I just saw this cutscene on my xbox series S. Though the graphics weren't quite as good (probably because of the hardware), it was still really impressive for an in-game cutscene, and it still had the same visceral impact.

Can’t wait for the full release. It seems like Lilith is annoyed of the eternal conflict and is going to end it for her creations safety. Sanctuary.

For a moment there I thought she might had been a misunderstood person, right up until those people killed the priest for literally no reason. Would had been big difference if they were all different and had a different true nature but literally all of them were just murderous psychopaths.

Good thing she finally tracked down those five dirt grubbing villagers. Her plan for world domination really hinged on their conversion. Really puttin down those big foundation stones first.

Man, the writing is so much better here than on Diablo 3, which had a bit of a Saturday morning cartoon vibe.

Lilith reminds me with Yaldabaoth from the SCP Universe. Wants humans to resort to their primal basic nature with reason and logic out of the equation. I guess this is the demon part, and I guess the point is that without both essence: the emotions from the demonic nature and the logic from the angelic nature, humans aren't complete.

Diablo is one of my favorite games

A small fact that has been mentioned many times in the comments, but I wanted to explain it in my own words: According to Diablo Lore, Lilith is considered the mother of mankind. She fled Hell with the angel Inarius to create a safe haven for angels and demons, which she called a "sanctuary". In this sanctuary, she had children with Inarius called Nephalems, who would later become humans. However, Lilith and Inarius eventually fought over the fate of the Nephalems because of their immense power. Lilith believed that the Nephalems needed to be protected, while Inarius thought they were too dangerous. Ultimately, Lilith lost the fight and was banished. When she finally returns, she seem's benevolent; I have seen some comments that suggest Lilith is deceptive, but I think she's seeking to restore the power and freedome of humanity possibly to overthrow both angels and demons and end the divine war by making her side win (she and her children).

She's beautiful and has the perfect air about her, definitely how I imagine Lilith. Motherly in her own way and so regal. Never played any Diablo game but I've always wanted to just not had a chance yet.

Is there a symbolic going on with Lilith's two eyes colored green and blue with one of the woman church goer? Her eyes switch from green to blue too? I knew this is an ingame cinematic as it is different of quality from the trailers but nevertheless a work of art and movie like. Can't wait to play this on my PS4pro!
