Blizzard is the undisputed GOAT of in-game cinematics. Would love to see a full fledged Diablo movie.

If blizzard learned anything from the Warcraft movie they would make it 3 hrs minimum. 2 hours is not long enough for these franchises to be put in cinema.

On the one hand, I understand why u want that. On the other hand, a several hour long story that I can interact with sounds even better

I agree! While i believe Lucion is able to quise himself as an angel, i find it hard to believe he could demonstrate skills neccessary to do things that angels can. But one of the most subtle things i find off about this Inarius is his presence which is said to be so powerful that humans simply would want to kneel before him. Even his child, Rathma, a Nephalem, had hard time resisting the urge to kneel before his presence and in this one cutscene that human just was there and was basically told to kneel by Inarius and not even giving a Blessing that man asked for to find and fight Lilith. Maybe because a Demon cannot give blessings. And how Inarius would have escaped his torture/ prison all sudden. Also isn't it speculated that before prime evils were banished by lesser evils from hells, Mephisto left someone to look after Inarius so it would make sense it would have been Lucion. And Lucion would learn how to be an Angel from Inarius by torturing him some more. God's i really hope there is this kind of plot twist. Then again, in Diablo 3, Leah being a vessel for Prime Evil Diablo was a suprise for me too so there is hope.

@@TheAns51 Well the last we saw of Lucion was when Uldyssian banished him in the Sin War. We don't really know what happened to him though. It's implied that he just kind of "unmade" him but I think Blizzard is more likely to say he was simply killed or banished and that with the events of the last 3 games, he's had time to reform his physical body. It was originally Lucion who controlled the Triune, the first major religious order of Sanctuary. I believe Lucion, disguised as Inarius, is actually in control of both factions as the people of Sanctuary desperately seek a higher power to answer their prayers.

@@TheAns51 I just learnt that the reason why Lilith was banished was because Inarius couldn't kill her, that makes it unlikely for Inarius to throw a spear at her, I assume.

Yeah, in 1 and 2. In Canon. All the classes where working together to defeat diablo. So it wasn't just one person who may as well be Kratos Though in D3 the epilogue by tyreal after reaper of souls makes an interesting point on how u defeated both the greatest champions of hell AND heaven. And he can only hope you're never corrupted. Good set up for establishing a very deadly villain In a future game

Theres so much more to the lore that I think is left out in your view. Nephelim are the children of lilith and inarius. Inarius knew and feared that nephilim would become more powerful than angels and demons.

It seems that the Bloodied Wolf i actually Mephisto disguised to talk with the player. He has some kind of interes in the Wanderer. It seems in the game files, the voice files for the wolf are named something like "Wolphisto" if I recall correctly

Thats honestly how it should be rank and file demons should be of no threat to an Angel and the Angels and Demons should know that and act accordingly.

I don't think he meant weak in terms of martial prowess. I think he meant weak as in weak-willed, and easily corrupted. He wouldn't be using human/Nephilim soldiers in his army in an apocalyptic scale war if he thought they were physically/magically weak. I think this interpretation makes more sense in this context, considering that Lilith seems to be corrupting humans/Nephilim into giving in to their demonic side. It is pretty well established by this point in the lore that Nephilim are more powerful than both angels and demons. Hence why angels like Malthael were scared and wanted to destroy them all, and demons like Lilith probably want to sway them to their side in the great war.

I wouldn't say they "won" they still haven't kept diablo at bay. - hes still out there somewhere - probably hiding inside Lilith for a scene where inarus and Lilith make up, just for him to pop out and kill everyone. Sanctuary is still a $h!thole. Heavens are still broken. Hell is boring. There's no winners in this group. Maybe diablo - because he seems to always sneak out.

did you play diablo three. We were killing angels that were corrupted. didn't like it. Not the concept, but the angels did not move naturally. they just move in a straight line.

Angels are one extreme, and demons are the other. They can't comprehend that humans can choose to be either. May be they can't be corrupted, as u say. But they also almost voted to destroy mankind. With tyreal being the deciding vote. Being all about good and righteousness, doesn't always mean l, they're the good guys or have our best interests at heart. Imagine if the 10 commandments weren't simply guidelines but actual, heavily enforced law. It would be horrifying

@@ReformMsia By far far. Especially in sanctuary as he was bound to the world stone. If it was truly Inarus there, it is possible he was freed or somehow able to escape when the world stone was destroyed, as his soul was tethered to it. Or perhaps something like then it broke, and mempisto died, he was able to escape or respawn somewhere if he died as well. who knows what carrot blizzard will use.

The Eternal Conflict was between the angels and the demons, the Nephalem and, thereby, the humans got drafted in. Initially to be used by Lilith to fight for Hell.
