Mine came in at 7.8 oz. I added some lead tape at the bottom and with a Prolite Tape around the whole edge and Tourna Overgrip it comes in at 8.2 oz. It did make a big difference. I still am trying to get used to the softness as you mentioned. My 3rd drops at time come up short, but overall my short game has improved. It still has enough pop as I tend to bang the ball. So far I really like this paddle.
I would love to see a comparison. The new Selkirk power paddle vs the Gearbox power paddle. You have never done a comparison video. This one would be interesting. Both rimless, similar paddles
I've wanted to try this paddle. Thanks for the review, so I know what to expect. Too bad about the weight, but it looks like it's easy to adjust. I have a request, could you try out the new Yonex paddles? They make great tennis and golf equipment, and I'd be curious to see if their pickleball equipment is as good. Thanks.
Nice review. I do have the Edge and mine came at 7.7 with the overgrip it’s now 7.8. I’ve been toying with adding weight. Where on the paddle did you add weight that worked for you? I love the spin and the speed of the paddle. I have no problem generating power so that’s not an issue for me with this paddle. I was thing of putting the tape at 9 and 3 o’clock going down toward the handle.
lol...well...I buy them....so I have kept almost all of the paddles around. Just recently I have started to sell them as they were taking up LOTS of space.
