I iron most of my canvases and they turn out perfect. With the poured glue canvases I removed the plastic and replace with parchment paper before I iron. I always iron on the back. Also I find if you spritz a little water before you iron it takes out all the creases. Never use a hot iron, just medium.

I iron on a medium setting too (setting 3 out of 6). I don't remove the plastic and have not had it melt (yet). I have had the paper covering over double sided adhesive warp though so I would recommend changing that with parchment paper before ironing.

The canvas is very pretty! I love your mounting technique and I will also be investigating in a portfolio BOOK! Iva e a very large portfolio that I stuff my finished canvases in because I just do them for the pleasure and relaxation diamond painting gives me but I’ve only mounted a few canvases. I always enjoy your very thoroughness of unboxing and finishes of your canvases!

I do diamond painting for fun and stress relief and mainly just put the canvases in my portfolio book. I keep telling my mom I don't need to hang up and frame all of them lol. Glad you enjoy the videos!

Use the ruler on top of the drills, then the cutter can get closer to the edge. Pro tip-always hang your pinky off the edge 1. For stability. 2. To keepyour fingers off the cutting area. Those rotary cutters will take off the tip of your finger, no problem. I quilt and have horror stories first hand from victims. It is very safe, as long as you pay attention.

Thank you for the safety tips! This is my first rotary cutter and I am surprised how sharp it is but it does cut the canvas very easily.

Yes, I was very happy with the AB drills from this store which is why I tried out their diamond paintings. I was pretty happy with their drills for this painting too. I just didn't like how wrinkled the canvas came. Thanks for watching!

CLOSE THAT CUTTER EVERY TIME YOU SET IT DOWN!!! I taught quilting and have seen some nasty cuts from brushing by the cutter if it's open. Or if it gets dropped you can have a very very serious injury. The painting is very pretty. Its a little Monet-ish.

Hey there... Great video as always....if u contact DPF before they will ship your canvas, they can do poured glue and I thinkbthey will add up to 2 AB for free( they did it for me) if u want more you will pay like 2 dollars more. I quite like them and Timni's Art. Have a great rest of the week

I don't think it came out too bad. I'm not a fan of the checkerboard "random" placement either. Use a black sharpie along the edges of your canvas when mounting on black cardstock to give it a finished look and you won't see the white. I've had this really cool tree diamond painting from DPF in my wishlist for a long time and I havent purchased it yet. I wanted to try them after you bought all those drills. Now I'm a bit nervous about actually purchasing from them. I was impressed that you didn't have rivers and creases in the glue considering how wrinkled it was though. Thank you so much for sharing!

I have not had good luck putting black sharpie around my edges without accidentally marking the drills too. I did like the drill quality for DPF but the canvas still retained the creases even after ironing. I too was surprised that the adhesive did not pull up since I have the issue with homfun's canvases. I'm still waiting from things I ordered in October from Ali guess I'm not seeing them lol also a diamond painting from amazon since November I've given up on both and got my money back. But I wanted my items lol xx

As long as you got your refund, if they magically pop up even better. I've only ever had 1 item from AliExpress never show up. I've had 2 orders show up a couple weeks after I got a refund though.

How do you iron it? With or without steam? On the back side? Low temperature? Thanks in advance.

I don't use steam and I set my iron to a lower setting. I try not to stay in one spot too long incase it might warp the canvas. I used to put a kitchen towel over the diamond painting but I don't anymore and just iron the back of the canvas directly. For something with double side tape, I would replace the cover with parchment paper. I have had the paper cover warp so it does not handle heat well. I haven't had the issue with the clear plastic covers though.

Perhaps it is because I got a small size. I had an order where I got a 40x50 in DSA while the 60x90 was in poured glue from a different AliExpress store.

Joan Diamond Paints mine was 35x35cm from DPF as well. I don’t mind DSA, but it’s interesting that they don’t seem to have a set format yet.

Nooit meer bestel ik bij Ali express, slechte service , te weinig steentjes geleverd . Dit gemeld bij de klantenservice , hebben niet er op gereageerd ! Ik kon dus de besteld dp zo de prullenbak in mikken

I translated this to: Never again will I order from Ali express, bad service, too few stones delivered. Reported this to customer service, they did not respond! So I could just throw the ordered dp into the trash I have had some good diamond paintings from AliExpress. I even had a store send me the correct drills after they sent me the wrong ones. I think it depends on the store.
