Fractal or lichtenberg wood burning a diamond willow walking stick. This burn turned out to be amazing. The way I did it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The best stick burn EVER! How to make a.

Nice job, I appreciate how you fracture burning people don't realize the danger involved. You mentioned how the burn lifted. Scrub the hell out of it under running water to avoid that. I think the finish product will make you happy. You really can't Scrub them to much

You need to try super glue in place of the Varathane. Amazon has 4-8 oz bottles. Used rubber gloves in a WeLl vEnTiLaTEd area. It does dry quick but I have used it and it dries hard to a shiny surface. Use a lint free rag like a t-shirt rag. Put it on as thick as possible. It does come in different viscosities and I like the thick viscosity.

You need to take this video on hold for a little while. Tell people not to use a micro wave transformer and use a oil burner transformer as the will hit them like a weed burner elect. fence. I have done a lot of this and you need to look at some videos about the safety. I really like the videos on diamond willow you tube. Yes people have been killed using this, always tell people not to do this. It looks like you are using a neon sign transformer to burn with. most new neon and will not work as they have a safety so you can't short them out. keep up the great work and be around for a long time. The way you are doing it will knock you on the floor but you should live. If you think I am wrong I will take this down.

In fact, the burning of fractal Lichtenberg figures begins quite quickly with 500 volts and thousands and millions of volts are needed only if you need to burn very long figures without moving the electrodes. If you rearrange the electrodes and use one of the electrodes wet (put it on a napkin moistened with electrolyte), you can very quickly and beautifully burn out both the table and the tree trunk and the bench at 500 volts and about 250 milliamperes. One thing I can't understand ... how do I use these canes? It is too thin for a crutch, too beautiful for driving a flock of sheep or looking for mushrooms in the forest... How can I use it?

The baking soda and water will not burn my desk, or a finished piece of wood, because it cannot get impregnated into the piece to burn it. Instead, the electricity just dances on top of it whenever it gets a chance to take a path of least resistance. Wrapping an electrode with a wet rag is a bad idea. Diamond willow is very strong. This piece is just for show. When I find a piece that looks this cool, I cannot help myself from harvesting it. They are quite rare. I can look all day in swamps to find one, but I do make many walking sticks, trekking poles, and canes that are lighter, smaller in diameter, and completely practicle.

@@RustBeltAuto In order for the electrolyte to penetrate deeply into the wood, it is easiest to treat this wood with a solution of a surfactant, such as a solution of shampoo or washing powder, before applying the electrolyte. After 5 to 10 minutes after this treatment, the electrolyte containing baking soda will penetrate much deeper into the wood. For oak, pine, birch, and beech wood, this pretreatment is not required and will only lead to burning in the depth of the wood, not on its surface, and in Your case it can help. If you watch my videos , you will see that I do not cover the wood with a napkin, but simply put one of the electrodes on it - this prevents the occurrence of burning under it and moving the second electrode along the burned pattern, you can control the direction of burning.

@@opt57-ru49 what I did seems to work really well. I don't believe I need any other tricks. I know just enough about electricity to be dangerous. I was thinking if you put a wet rag with electrolytes on it, it would wear out the electrode faster. Thank you for the advice. I will look at your stuff.
