Just wanted to say that I loved the camaraderie and fun you guys had w/ this video review of these two amazing Porsche models --- the GT3 RS and the Turbo S.
Congrats on the landmark 250k subs, hard work paying off. I wish i could get to that in the coming years. Top video, awesome cars. you have the amg for a daily, your porsche is track ready so its perfect for you. CHAOS.
"Did I buy the wrong car?" Yes. You always do. And you always will. Because there's always "better", which is really always just "different", and deep-rooted insecurity will always trump personal satisfaction when you're competing with other high-end buyers where "mine's better than yours" is defined in milliseconds of imperceptible difference and personal perception. Even down to the crackles of an exhaust, or seat material, or seatbelt colour. Or whose car is perceived to get 'more looks' from passers by. Real-world problems, eh? Sad, just sad. Each to their own, I guess, but the fragility of some of these folk is staggering!
Archie never regret the GT3 RS decision as it gave you the need to have a daily driver, which we your fans also enjoy seeing. Looking forward to the A45S arriving and your journey towards it. Congrats on the 250K subs. Cheers Steve
You and James together are hysterical mate! We need more Tom in the vid as well, you guys are all such a laugh. I think both you and James made great choices......yep yep yep. Both have their pros and cons, and both will hold their value fantastic. Archie you had me dying when JE said about riding his bike and your response was “no one really cares about the bike”......literally had me laughing out loud! Keep up the chaos mate, more content to come with the GT3RS. 👍🏻👌🏻🙌🏻🍻
All great cars but having had a couple 911 Turbos including a 991.2 TTS I have reached the conclusion that I get more driving pleasure out of a MT car so I have scratched the RS cars (well my ultimate goal is the 2011 GT2 RS, 620 BHP and 6MT) and the modern Turbo's too...so my options are a 991.2 GT3, 997.2 Turbo, 2008 GT2 or the aforementioned 2011 GT2 RS.
Sorry throw my bit in! Surly when judging depreciation you have to look at previous market trends? 997 gt3 rs still are big money where as 997.2 turbo s (good spec) 70k? JE keeping that for 6 months max or risking a big drop. Still turbo s is my dream car 💪
Love The Turbo S, Love the GT3RS...would always have the TurboS as i'm not going to be racing...only things for me are, maybe a GT3RS and delete the spoiler (I have seen a couple and they look FIRE) and on the Turbo S, just as it was coming into summer maybe I would have gone for the Turbo S cab.....JE always makes the video fun, and talks A LOT of sense. 10/10 video
This man said the 2016 GT3RS is more expensive than a 2019 Turbo S LOL Fully spec'ed turbo S is around 230k-250k USD You can pick up a 2016 GT3RS for like 150k-160K USD now! I don't watch this guys videos but he kinda seems like he wants to prove he has more money lmao
I've been thinking about buying an R8 V10 plus for a few months, but, since I saw your first video buying a GT3 RS, I started to look for Porsches, I never been a Porsche fan, so I'm very hesitated now......I cannot afford a GT3 RS, so I was looking at the new GT4. Which is your recomendation?? -Audi R8 V10 plus 2017 -Mclaren MP4 2012 -Porsche GT4 2019 I can only afford one supercar, and I want to spend 100.000€ -105.000€ approx. (second hand, of course) WHAT I HAVE TO DO??? Thank you and keep it up with your videos, really nice ones!!
Juanan Ssss The 997 Porsche GT4 is the best driver focused vehicle on your list. It’s size and balance are unbelievable. With 414 bhp at 7600 rpm on its way to an 8,100 rpm redline and torque figures at 310 lb ft. at 5,000 rpm, the GT4 will make you work for peak performance. The reward however, is perhaps the most visceral, raw and well sorted driving experience offered. The GT4 is usable yet offers a unique sense of occasion. The R8 V10 plus, as well as the 2012 MP4-12C will lose that sense of spirit fairly quickly as they lack engagement with the driver. Both will fall victim to heavy depreciation, more quickly than the GT4. Notable as well, the 2012 MP4-12C has always struggled with reliability issues and costly repairs. The GT4 is perhaps the best value proposition in the entire industry, let alone among performance cars. It will allow you to blip the throttle as you row through the gears and hit the perfect apex around that corner, all too eager to do it again and again...and again. If you’re looking for a more flamboyant option, perhaps the R8 or MP4-12C should be your choice. For what it’s worth, given the current and future value, plus the sheer fun factor, the Porsche 917, GT4 would be my pick. I hope you’ve since found the car that’s best for you!
If I was only gonna buy one, I would definitely get the turbo S with the same spec as james' except the colours perhaps. I mean while the bt3 rs has better handling, the turbo S is still a porsche so it has great handling.
Max actually said to me the cars are completely different, one is a super car and one is a sports car, your a35 then a45 will be your daily driver👍👍 your gt3 is your special sunny weekend drive 😎
Look at the Track test Evo did on youtube. They did full track tests of the GT3 RS and the Turbo S. They both got exactly the same times. to the 1/10 of a second. Literally no difference in performance. The GT3 RS just looks more eye catching and is less practical (and will prob hold value a bit better) but performance-wise, nothing in it.
