Hi guys welcome back to the channel in this video I will be discussing whether or whether not I overpaid for my autoart signature series McLaren F1 LM Edition 1/18 scale model car. I used to collect 1:18 cars but the prices are just daft now. The most I paid was £130.00 for a yellow CMC Porsche 901 in about 2009.

I almost bought the regular F1 3 years ago, the price was around $600. Now they’re around double that.

Last week, ck-modelcars had the asian dealer version (limit of 105pcs) for as low as 160€... needles to say they sold out within few hours.

I think a good question to ask is, what would happen to the value if AUTOart re-releases these models in composite? Recently the Lexus LFA was announced as a future composite release. Literally overnight I saw new eBay listings of collectors selling off their Signature diecast LFA models - a model that also commanded high prices in recent years. This would be a worry for me spending big bucks on rare models, that could be re-released again, albeit in composite. AUTOart still have the license for McLaren, so who's to say they will not make the F1 or F1 LM again?

Composite.. I think that’s the demise of AutoArt.

Hi yes that is very worrying personal I don’t like this one bit, re-releasing models just ruins the market and your right they do still hold their licenses and I think if they are doing it already with the LFA then they will do it with all of them I have just made the video on this please subscribe for more videos to come soon thanks

I totally agree diecast is much better than their composite models

Some collectors really became greedy when selling models - not only for AUTOart (I even saw some Sun-Star models for 150 Euros and Sun-Star is definately not known for their best details or best quality). AUTOart is definately creating amazing models and these are worth their money. But I wouldn't pay 800-100 pounds for it.

What is your opinion on the Autoart Lamborghini Aventador Roadster regarding the model, worth and the price development?

Hi Timo, I think the lambo aventodar roadster is a great model to get but they are so expensive right now they seem to be hovering around £6-700, I think if you could get one for under £500 that would be a good price to make something on if you come to re sell the model. If your looking for the best re sell value I would go for the zondas, ageras, and the nsx they seem to really hold their value. You could get a real car for that here 😂 Then again I can’t say anything. I’ve spent £150 on 60s hotwheels this past few months
