I can't believe he talked to you as long as he did!! He was a lively one! Very strong in his false beliefs. I'm praying for him 🙏 Thanks again, Bridget ❤
Great job Christine..this was one of your most collective, direct and hard hitting calls. Multiple times he would say the Bible doesnt say that..to which you would immediately provide the verse where it did to which he wouldnt acknowledged or try to spin it.
As usual you point out Acts 4:12 specifically gives the name of Jesus as is the name we are saved..he reads the verse..then flippantly ignores what he just read and the impact of the verse supporting the point you made and jumps to Isaiah
WAtchtower " Announcing Jehovah's kingdom". Let's cross reference to their publication - ' The Divine name that will endure forever ' in which they admit Jehovah's isn't god's name but they use it because meh , human tradition.
Acts 4:12....Wow....what a great testimony to give this man B! This is such a huge clue to come to Christ....but what does he do? He goes straight to Isa.42:8. His response reminds me of 2Tim.3:7.
Christine in around 2016 or so, they did a segment about the name of the Most High and admit His name is not jehovah. They said they went with that name because it was popular.
I pray every cart all over the world as well as every door knocked on be answered by a Holy Spirit filled believer to lead EVERY jw to The Christ for salvation and eternal life with the Father, The Son and Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus 🙏
You mention that witnessing to JWs has resulted in you learning about the Christian faith that you already have. That is my testimony too. Bumping up against the falsehood has caused me to learn the truth better, and experience it more deeply. Being adopted as Jehovah’s son and having Jesus as my mediator are big ones. And I went to Bible college and seminary!
Thanks for sharing that Brian! -- What's also really cool, is that i've met a few people along the way, who had spouses or other close people in their lives that returned to or joined JW, and in the process of researching the Org to see what that person was into, they became Christians! :)
So Brain, are you one of the "anointed"? I ask because the organization teaches that ONLY the "anointed" have Jesus as their Mediator. Asking for a friend.
@@richbaker7187 I am one of the anointed, but not in the way that the Watchtower teaches. All believers in Christ are anointed and have the Holy Spirit. There is no 2-class system as WT teaches; that is an invention by Rutherford in 1935 that has been imposed on the biblical text.
He said it B. Jesus is not the name who gives salvation. This delusion is so serious, and he doesn’t even know that God is the one sending the delusion.(2 Thess.2:11,12). We pray that he may wake up while there is still time.
I’ve learned a lot too. Learned more in one and a half years questioning all the JWs I ever knew and reading the Word, than 29 years spent reading the Watchtower and unknowingly worshipping nine old dudes I never met.
@bridgetazaz I too have learnt a lot from you. One thing I keep thinking about is baptism and how Christians should be baptised in " the name of the father son and holy spirit" never mentioned "Jehovah".
You can tell them that YHWH isnt necessary because Jesus was given his father's name. So he made his name known by default because he is the image of his father. He manifest the character of his father. Therefore Yeshua is gods name. Thx Brittany
Hi Bridget, I recently watched a video from Anthony Rogers about the I AM statements without the predicate. The definite I AMs. For example the OT verses like Isaiah 40:13 I think that you mentioned, it’s literally “I AM” rather than I am he. The he is added. But Deuteronomy 32 has a definite I AM, and there are plenty in Isaiah. Then in the NT Jesus says I AM I think 6 times in John. One instance is where he is walking on the water, he tells Peter, “do not be afraid, I AM” in the original Greek. Then when he tells the waters to be quiet, the apostles worship him and call him the son of God. I think they were putting one and one together and slowly seeing who Jesus was 😁. But most translations today put “I am He” and it sort of loses its intended meaning I think. Also, I watched another video recently and apparently by the first century, if you uttered the Tetragrammaton in the synagogue you were literally kicked out of the synagogue. It was not allowed. So it makes perfect sense then that Jesus didn’t use it. That would have caused massive commotion and there would have been plenty mentions of Jesus getting in trouble for using it in the NT, yet this ‘crime’ is never attributed to Jesus at all. Makes sense that he simply said “Adonai” Lord instead. Or just Father.
Yes so much info out now. The internet has been blessing…but of course can be a double edged sword coz there’s also plenty lies out there. The not being about to utter the Tetragrammaton wasn’t from Anthony Rogers, it was from the David & Vivian Aspinall channel, and they read mostly Christian commentaries on various books of the Bible. It’s very insightful 👍
Really enjoyed listening to this conversation. The promotion of the Divine Name isn’t central to the gospel message. Otherwise there should be one citation after another, which your conversation proved there isn’t. Excellent and patient interaction.
God Bless you Christine, Jesus Christ is giving you strength and courage to minister to them. God Bless you for being so calm and collected. My sister is JW.
I see u my sister w/ The Acts 1:8 reference. 😉 It flies over their head & leaves them baffled. Great job in utilizing the scriptures ONLY & not conjecture.
Hi, it was not only the Father who raised Jesus up - it's the divine (immortal) nature raising the human (mortal) nature. At John 2:19, 21-22, Lord Jesus says: destroy this temple and I will raise it up in three days. So, the full divinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) was involved in raising the man Jesus up from the dead.
Anyone who takes away from my word I will take away from, anyone who adds to my word I will add to their plagues!! They have played with the word of Yahweh!!!!
i alway thought if god wanted his names to be knowing he would put out there ....i never heard or read anywhere adam or eve, noah, moses or jesus, or etc using jehovah as god name....it probably another thing them 8 or 10 governing body men received from holy spirit
Lord Jesus died in human nature as man, not in divine nature as God - with his human body in grave, his human spirit in hell and in divine nature everywhere (including hell as well as paradise where he was together with the robber).
When he said Jesus didn’t raise himself up, you had him. You should try slowing down and dreaming that fun moment out and let him actually dwell on that thought or what the scripture says. Or have him read it and ask him to explain it. I guarantee a min after you passed by that thought it was pushed out of his brain.
Thanks for that feedback! Im always trying to be aware of not giving too much info, and refuting every point, but i think that was a missed opportunity for sure, on an important Scripture re Christ.
When Jesus read from the Old Testement he would have come across Gods name, we know from the "Dead Sea Scrolls" that the name YHWH was there, so why wouldn't he have used it. It was mainly the religious leaders of Jesus day who would not pronouced it as they thought it to be too sacred to utter, but Jesus was not going to give into them. So unless YOU were there you are not going to know for sure. I believe with all my heart that as God's name is important, that he would have used it !
Better check that one out too...😅 2 Corinthians 5:18-20 King James Version 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.I pray every cart all over the world as well as every door knocked on be answered by a Holy Spirit filled believer to lead EVERY jw to The Christ for salvation and eternal life with the Father, The Son and Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus 🙏
There she is!! Long time no chat! Always a pleasure to hear from you still sound like a teenie bopper! Just wanted to add a few Scriptures, 1 John 4:14 for we know and testify that The Father sent The Son to be The Savior, Luke 2:11 for unto us is Born in the city of David The Savior who is Christ The Lord. He went in Isaiah 43 but didn’t read verse 11 which states, for I eve I Am Jehovah and besides Me there is no Savior 43:11 is talking about Jesus Christ He is The only Savior there is no Savior beside Him. God bless
Wow, this is a great conversation to have with Witnesses. Jesus and his followers never said the word Jehovah or encouraged anyone else to use it. This will definitely make him think
Acts 5 , compare verse 3 to verse 4, is pretty strong. Also the triune baptismal formula, the 3 that share the (one) Name. Trinitarian benediction in II Cor 13, as well as the roles of each person of the Trinity in salvation throughout the NT, and verses/pericopes that mention all 3, Dr Edward Dalcour says there are over 60. What's interesting is that it seems pretty easy for even former JWs to accept the diety of the Holy SPirit, once they are shown His personhood. I think this is because they describe Him in the WT as kind of part of God, just some kind of "force" He shoots out here and there. carm.org/about-the-holy-spirit/who-is-the-holy-spirit/
@@bridgetazaz Thanks for your kind response. What I like becoming a christian is my new relaxed way of accepting other opinions about understanding the Bible. Anyway, if it really was important about the HS as God, I would expect it explicitly mentioned, but it isn't. Often when spirit is mentioned, I think it is us as christians, for instance mentioned in 1 Corinthians 2:11 or Romans 8:16. A former difficult scriptures to understand was "But whoever blasphemes against the holy spirit has no forgiveness forever but is guilty of everlasting sin.”" In my new understanding it is self-explanatory in this context, at least to me. But anyway, the essential thing is Jesus as our God, Lord and savior thereby becoming righteous through our faith, and faith alone. God bless you.
BRIDGET..You got to direct them to there own greek tranlation it will say Lord small capitails letters meaning its JESUS in Romans 10:13 then you got them rhey cant say a thing
One of the biggest things that convinced me of Jw, as a kid, was noticing other Bibles had LORD everywhere on the OT, and once you think that’s weird, removing gods name, as they say, it’s easy to make the. Next leap and assume the NT should also have had it at some point. It’s one of the main convincers I think of Jw being “the truth.”
@@bridgetazaz As a kid not ever hearing the name Jehovah in Catholic Church and then noticing it is in a few places in the KJ, I had to think: what!?!?! And all the places where Lord is capitalized that’s where gods name was. That was a monumentally huge convincer for me. It was more a strike against Catholics and since Catholics weren’t right, here’s JW!
Can I please use this audio Christine? Maybe not in entirety but clips? I think it’s extremely revealing when he denies Jesus over and over . God bless
Even Monty Python got it right. There is a stoning sketch in the Film the Life of Brian where someone is stoned for the ultimate blasphemy of saying the name jehovah.!!!
Good job overall. However the invisible Supreme Deity cannot be seen therefore the messenger of Yahweh in thr OT who was seen and was visible was not God literally. Also Jesus was seen.and was visible so he cannot be the invisible God. Only the Father is the only true God jn17:3 and the Lord God Almighty. Rv21:22 Jesus has a God to whom he is subject. 1Cor15:24,27
Unfruitful conversation when the blind tried to show the blind a bird . Impossible to even understand the scriptures if both of you don't know the name of the Creator and the name of His beloved Son. All those pagan names you use will keep all of you blind. The beginning of wisdom is the fear of Yahuah.
By the way Jesus raised himself also the Father raised Jesus and the Holy Spirit/// Jesus said in 3 days I will raise it up talking about the temple of his body Jesus is fully God fully man
From listening to this video, a question came to mind. What parents tells their child to call them by their Names ? Would that be considered disrespectful or even an act of defiance ? Hunh..
@@jeffg1639 Jesus was fully human like us but without sin(Heb.4:15). A human cannot raise himself from the dead, but God can and was the One who raised his Son from the dead.(Joh.10:18). Happily, from that time onward, especially from Pentecost onward, mankind now could be adopted into God’s family, get the Holy Spirit, and obtain eternal life!
Also, Yud, Hey, Vav, Hey is a Hebrew word and has no place in Greek Scriptures! Therefore, JW’s erroneously added a Hebrew word into the Greek Scriptures and have lied about keeping the Bible true to its original languages! (BTW, Messianic Jews are not Jews, they are evangelical Christians pretending to be Jewish. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messianic_Judaism
