Originally, 3 Six was called Triple Six. Anyone who still has the original mixtapes from the early 90's can vouch for that. They didn't became 3 Six until after 1996.

@@showmestatefinest5412 I think Three Six was used to disguise the obvious. When people see Three Six, they think 36, not 666.

Esham had references to Satan in his music until the mid-1990s. I'm sure there's other horrorcore rappers who also did in the early-1990s or earlier.

Triple Six Mafia or at least DJ Paul and Juicy J has been around since about 1991 or so and their debut album came out in 1995. Back in those days the surrounding areas might have heard it but it was mostly a MEMPHIS thang y’know. Being that local I doubt they introduced that to Hip Hop. I don’t know that that caught on out west but I think NY was on that wave with the horrorcore thing maybe. You could probably find that kind of stuff on old Rap-A-Lot albums too. I say all that to say I don’t think 3 6 were the first to do it. As far as the God body talk and all that, I think that’s strictly a NY/east coast thing with all the 5% talk and the knowledge/mathematics. It was founded in Harlem if I’m not mistaken.
