You titled this video “Did we get scammed by Hoovies Garage?” There’s very little acting going on at 9:05 when you hit the speed bump. That set the tone of the drive, would you agree? Then you say “Oh wow..something’s weird there” and Hoovie’s body language is speaking VOLUMES (acting or not) and I agree with your assessment of the paddle (although I do not own a Ferrari 458) until ... At 9:19 he takes the camera and points it right at the paddle, you can’t tell me that he was acting there. He was as genuine as I have ever seen him and a bit uncomfortable.. a natural reaction to a nit pick. You even say “Well I’m just noticing things.. It’s not terrible” From that point you are trying to like the car, until the point at 12:02 and at that moment, you can see his “Lighten up, Francis” face, and now he knows what you’re all about. “Just close your eyes and drive” is his Genuine reaction to 4 nit picks in a row, YES..the car doesn’t belong at Pebble Beach, we know. There is no criticism on your part, you are trying to buy a beaten down Ferrari. But you have to admit, Hoover was a bit annoyed. I am putting myself in your shoes AND Tyler’s shoes.

@@normalguysupercar if you can get all the panels to line up then definitely a respray, however this comes back to pouring a load of money into it and after everything else it needs do the numbers work. It’s always going to be a high mileage car with a chequered history. Maybe it’s a case of doing the necessary mechanicals and keeping it as a useable Ferrari that you don’t stress about each time you park it up 🤣🤣. And just enjoy it for what it is 👍🏻
