In Canada as a single mother I got FBA throughout university and worked part time throughout. I had to pay tuition and books and lab fees. I budgeted very carefully and never borrowed money. If you cannot afford something better yourself or get a second job.

For example...HUD, Social security disability for people who can work, which is most of them, and foodstamps. I understand people fall on hard times, but government assistance is NOT meant to be a longterm thing! However, for most they believe they are entitled to it and stay on it for many years....meanwhile people like me work hard and work overtime to take care of my family and my tax dollars go to these useless beggars!
