you honestly don't need a moss pole for the frosted heart! I had mine just grow up a bamboo stake and its leaves sized up to be WAY bigger than my hand. It still had that 'flat' look to it on the stake as well :)
The frosted heart is a Macrophyllum. Once it reaches maturity, it will lobe and won't even look recognizable. It might lobe on a moss pole, although mine is huge, on a moss pole, and hasn't lobed yet. I've had it almost a year and it still has maintained its juvenile leaf shape, which I love.
I would definitely give a chop to these jades maybe leave a few of the lowest leaves. Ypu could get yourself a nice little forest if you make it branch enough plus this also forces the plant to develop a thicker trunk as well giving it a more "ancient" look 😊 they grow new leaves so quickly after a chop.
I'm always surprised by how fast and easy it is to find exotic and strange plants, both online as well as in retail, but for 3 years I can't find the common scented geranium, that was growing in every window when I was a kid :-) Thank you for sharing. Ps. I have a lot of plants like your rat tail and I love them none the least... always thank them for, at least growing :-)
Emma, Alocasia baginda Silver Dragon: I think she is trying to reach for the light above and doesn´t have much space to spread wider, otherwise she would definitely grow chubbier. Perhaps if she was outside the cabinet, she would be chubbier? I have been growing mine for 2,5 years from a tiny plantlet, and it is wide and chubby (short petioles, leaves much bigger than my hand) with 13 leaves and a baby plant. It´s in Lechuza pon near a large northern window, she doesn´t have a water reservoir, and grew fat and wide :-) However, since she started blooming, she slowed down growing considerably (and I just can´t cut the blooms off). It´s my favourite plant.
That is a gorgeous Jade plant! Jeff from Everything Plants has a few great ones and excellent tips on how to grow it into the shape you want. And the story behind your plant is wonderful. Jeff's plant is from hie grandmother, I believe. So these plants are fantastic heirlooms to be handed down and that is amazing. I love your N'Joy too! Just gorgeous!

.. Your Syngonium Frosted Heart is a cultivar/hybrid also called "ice frost".. It grows really tall if given a moss pole to blimb.. It prefers bright indirect light, no direct sun, so a west facing or east facing window will be perfect.. Mine outgrew my West facing window to be somewhat more than 1,5 meter tall.. Leaves as big as a dinner plate, though they never split, they are very beautiful with their frosted look.. Given darker places, the leaves will loose their frosted colour..

Thank you so much for your sincerity and insight Emma! With the jade plant i would recommend indeed to chop it, that plant loves to get choped and will bring you a lot of new growth. I have a lot of them at home (some that we have outdoors are big and bushy!) and we got them just chopping the first one we got, so totally recommended. And with your alocasia insight... i have an alocasia wentii that i bought recently and i was thinking about transferring it to semihydro. I repotted it bc it really needed an upgrade from the pot it came with, but since then it has lost 2 leaves, and I'm starting to get worried. I know they're finnicky, but i don't want it to die. I am an underwaterer as well, so should i change it to semihydro? (For reference, its getting bright indirect light, from a south-facing balcony, protected from direct sun!) Thanks a lot! And poor rat tail cactus, he's pretty in his own way XD (but yeah i can see why you wouldn't show you like others, the aesthetic he has is really different than your other cactii and suculents)
My silver dragon is doing good but my dragon scale had a fungus when I bought it and I had to cut off more than half its leaves. I’ve treated it and if it doesn’t do well soon I’m going to return it
Love seeing these plants btw! My silver dragon sized up massively when I started using Kaylee Ellen's feed, maybe you could try feeding it a bit more? I really want a rat tail cactus but I was told they're still quite spiky... Thanks for confirming otherwise 😁😁
thanks for checking but no it's just a sulfur spot... I cleaned the leaves really well on my plants but I get too lazy to do the stems too 🙃 also it is possible that other rat tail cacti are spiky but mine is more furry than spiky
