HI. I wasn't sure I'd be here to tell this story. But here I am! This is advice to myself five years ago, and some advice to myself today, looking forward to a long, healthy life.

I'm attracted to the idea of giving my younger self advice. For one thing, it demonstrates a sense of compassion toward ourselves after we've made some not-so-wise choices. It's not too late to make new, healthy, better choices and act on them.

My Dad is in remission with Stage 3 Colon Cancer and just passed his 5 year mark. I’m glad that you made it too! Keep fighting! 😀

I’m glad you beat the 13% odds. I’m so glad you didn’t give up on yourself. What you are saying about diet and exercise is great advice for everyone. I need to do better myself. Keep fighting the good fight against this insidious disease. You inspired me with this video.

I have a question. When you say red meat, do you mean all beef...or just hamburger? Is it because of the high fat content or additives/ things in the meat?

I’m following what is recommended, and apparently it is all red meat. Hamburger, as well as special cuts. I like to get grass fed, pasture raised when I want beef. They also include pork chops in that “red meat” designation, so…
