The goal of Die Rise was to increase the complexity of the Zombies mode by adding an entirely new dimension of gameplay, platforming, to expand the understanding of what a Zombies map could be beyond just survival against basic enemies. It's a noble goal, but was it successful? What went right and wrong on this map specifically, and what lessons did they learn?
"A Zombies Retrospective" is a series in which I play through each Call of Duty Treyarch Zombies map chronologically, and analyze its place in the series.
