If you leave the heater running over night (as I do with mine) the air duct can get very very hot. I made a small baffle of sorts out of a length of PVC pipe with gutter down pipe connector at either end to centre the duct through your PVC pipe. This helps act as a barrier between your extremely hot duct and your flammable tent material. A CO2 alarm from Bunnings will also give you peace of mind.

We will be contacting you in the morning to order a heater for our own demonstration. We are converting 40 acres of our 200 acre hayfields into a private Rv resort. People should understand how a heat exchanger works. By leaving the heat intake open to the outside world, you "could" be drawing Exhaust gasses into the tent. If you piped the air intake into the tent, it would be safer. 2 hoses are for burning, (the small ones) 2 are for heat. ( The large ones) The 2 should never meet. Good review though.

@joeblow3823
@joeblow3823 3 года назад
I got mine from ebay for $130. They are a great unit but the pump is very noisy - fan as expected is noisy. The instructions are crap and no where does it tell you which is the burner inlet and outlet so can be connected the wrong way around. You need to have the actual intake for the heater side in the tent to improve efficiency so it does not have to heat cold outside air but on that model you have to get extras for that - the way you had the heater setup you could suck carbon monoxide from the exhaust into the tent. There are extensions available for $20 which combined with the secondary intake in the tent will make it safer. A great unit but precautions are needed to not gas yourself in the tent.
