For the bushings in tight areas like that, a ball joint press can be pretty handy.

Interesting! I never considered that before. Good looking out.

Wow, I'm learning so much even if I don't plan on ever doing it myself. It's always neat to see how these important pieces to a car come apart and see upclose how they fit together and can get damaged. Fascinating. What a helpful video for those that do want to do the work themselves. 👏

Thank you!! I like to tinker, so I enjoy putting these together for others to check out.

Nice!!! I'm not sure how that rear sets up but, when you take a carrier out just keep the spacers in the same location side to side and you should be good. Unless it sets up like some third member rearends and has the adjustable threaded bearing spacers and they are pretty easy as well. The bad thing about the spacers is they are cast (most non third member rears I have messed with) and will break easy. To complicate things the bearings on the carrier are also preloaded and the case has to spread a few thousandths for the carrier to fit back in. It's not terribly complicated but some experience helps. One of my favorite jobs when I was still working on cars for a living was setting up diffs. Will be looking for the next chapter.

Thankfully I’m just doing seals on it, so I won’t be pulling the carrier out.
