Kyle, I know you like to use OEM lubes and I understand and for the most part agree. I also realize no matter what lube you use if water gets into it it’s the beginning of the end if not identified and repaired. With that said, if you’re looking for excellent synthetic lubes check out Schaeffer’s. We use it in our dirt car and it works amazing. Keep enjoying each other and life in general. I enjoy watching the video’s. I’m a retired aircraft mechanic and now repair small engines.

Good and very informative video, articulated very well. The issue im having is those stupid cv boot clamps on the diff side, they are walking off of the boots
@MainvilleATV
@MainvilleATV 3 года назад
Odd, theres a variety of clamps out there. I'd make sure you have a proper boot clamp and make sure it was securely installed. Otherwise I'd be curious why there would be such a stress that would happen
@big_ute
@big_ute 3 года назад
@@MainvilleATV I had a factory boot split on the diff side after 350ish miles so i got another boot n clamp. Apparently the clamps are different sizes inboard and outboard so i threw on a hefty hose clamp and its been fine ever since. Only mod to the front is the satv forwarded A Arms (same as yours) on my bike but i cant see a 1.5" difference tossin the clamps. It also seems that my cv's arent letting the suspension drop all the way out, I have no lift on my bike either. Should this continue imma look into high angle cv's cuz for a brand new bike this rediculous. As for the hose clamp on the cv i rolled the bike a few days ago chasin moose and rodded the piss out of it to get back to the truck and it held on tight. The small camps im not having an issue with. Ill IG the pics to you in a minute.

Hay guys great video, i managed to catch mine with water before it blew did replace the two pinion bearings and seals about a year in a half ago and now keep an eye on the seals. Other than that nearing 4000 km on the diff. Anyway my question is "is there a noticeable difference between the elka shocks over the fox?? Was thinking the xxc has softer shock set up but noticed a lot are running elkas." Thanks

Hey buddy I have a question. Is this diff blowing up on all can ams? Or just the high hp and big tire can ams. The reason why I am asking this is I am buying a new atv and my son is stepping up to my 2006 sportsman 500ho. I was thinking of the 570 xmr but really not sure now. My sportsman never had any issues with 26 mud tires on it But it only has 36-38 Hp. So was wondering if the diff issues are just on the the higher hp can ams. What’s your opinion?
