Reviewing my digi002 tweakhead mod from Black Lion Audio, are you considering modding yours? Is it still worth it?
Besides the FireWire connectivity there is almost no downside to this unit! 🎚💻🖥

You are right on point Black Lion surpasses anything else you can buy as far as the clock. Mutt Lange had them redo his whole Avid System thats what really set them off. I wish they would do the Project Mix I/O.

Hi, nice vid. I totally agree, why would I change the gear if it sounds great right? I just got to know of Black Lion's mods, and they do them for the Apollo X interfaces now. Would you really recommend it? Cheers!

@@antoniomccoy9451 It was around $1500 but go on the black lion website to get an accurate price...I think you search the kind of unit you have and they have a price list for the item you want modified

If the the DAW is open platform interface then yes it'll work. Also it can do up to 96k

Yes it’s not solely dependent on pro tools, it’s cross compatible with other daws (digital audio workstation) I used it with cubase a long time ago

Colossal Beatz, it’s great bro, on their website that have a scale that shows you how close it is to a 10! The tweekhead is what I have, not one complaint. However, I am gonna get the Xb mod. Just to know I have the best of the best

hey Brother! love the review and very cool this one has a Story behind it with the Last Engineer Owner had done Tons and Tons of Records and E.P.s ... everything anywhere has said these are Like lining a Blanket off of the speakers... and Anything your Currently tracking shines and Sparked with the Right Frequency and Stereo Imaging... not to mention the Mic A$$ BLA Clock. Any chance you've worked with the Original Black Lion Audio Mod "HD MOD" ... Thnx Suppose to have all recouping (which helps with EQ and Clean no jitter Tracks) + Clock and Power Upgrade (headroom) ... just looking to see if you can always for that Mod as well! Rock On! TheLibraryStudios .TheLibraryStudios I've very satisfied with it, i thought that the "new" feeling was gonna fade and I would start finding things wrong with it. But I have no complaints. The clarity helps you know what your source sounds like going in.

\,,/ Killer! Appreciate the input my friend! I've got the Engineering part down over the last 10 years... Now my "Ear" has outdone my "Gear" ... Instead of RME or APOLLO I know everyone who's ever heard one of these BLA mods even the BLA CLOCKS. Is wowed... Can't Lie with real Reviews xD Wish I could get the Sig or XB mod... But this is going to be an Upgrade for Superior to my current 003r+ with Plugins Galore! XD

Hey! I think that at the time of the video I was pushing it with the technology and it’s advancements of that particular unit. In what’s about to be 2023, there are many more options that will work better for you. Anything from the new focusrite to audient stuff all of that is gonna be way more worth it, more inputs, better future compatibility. Hope that helps!

What operating system are you using to run this ? is it hard to get the drivers for it ? I've been searching the Internet and so far from what I have found Avid no longer supports drivers for the 002 .They say unsupported but will the 003 002 family driver work ?

I’m currently using Yosemite, and the 003 family drivers. Works perfectly fine
