A true Old School Pioneer, nice gear, Analog and Digital. Keep the 1210's I'll never get rid of my 1200's. Even though the video is 3 + years later, you can still make some noise with whatcha have, real nice gear bro :)
This video was put out in 2007... Most of the gear and software is out dated. Only thing still relevant in my opinion is the mpc 2500. But never the less still a very nice set up for then. You can't even run software out now on a power Mac g5 because it's a different OS
Its good to see that you're passionate about what you do thats what it takes a Deep comitment . Never talk down on what you have, you have more than most and you're also doing more than alot of ppl out there, who wish they were in your shoes . Nice SetUp, hope to see more about your equiptment, and also would like to hear samples of your creations in the never Future . Untill maybe later on keep doing what you do .
Wow, you have an amazing voice, absolutely amazing. i watched this whole video because i enjoyed hearing you chat. I'm going to remember you next time i need some voice over's done. AMAZING!
Man ,you have alot of nice equiptment , I just built a recording studio , but bought alot of the equiptment on ebay, and bought analog and digital equiptment old school style and now have it all up and running , I know what you mean about the money , but since music,s are passion ,we lay the money down , good luck in your great studio, spike
I just sold my MPC1000. Got a MPC2500 for 1400$ with 60GB HD and 128 MB ram. The Triton is still a killer piece. Thats a real good set up. 4GB ram?! Damn. Im hear watching all yah videos lol. Peace!
Nice, see you got that controller... I got that A Station a Year ago at GC for 250... works great G5 is the truth wish i had that paper lol real video comin soon no BS...
It all depends on the mic man... Teh capsule, the build quality, the type of circuitry or tube used, yeah you can pick up a mic for next to nothing with switchable patterns and stuff, but it still will not be a f.eks. C414 or a U87, and will not do the job the same way or as well as them.
Dude, you know this video is 2 years old right? Plus, he made it and it wasn't like he bought the shit the day before the video. The G5 Mac Pro was the shit back then! I have the OCto Core now too, but a few years ago man, it was all about the G5!
nice gear man... i hope those paid off... my advice to u : move ur mic somewhere and put some acoustic foam around cause this gear makes a lot of noise.... nice vid btw... big up !
i have a lexicon alpha its really cheap any interface should have at least 2 stereo inputs (left right) than you can connect your mpc to it and whenever you finish your beat record it through to your comp
@hitcreatormusic I would avoid the M-Audio pro88. I have one and the keys are too heavy. They are not like piano keys. the weight is heavier, then kind of springs down after enough pressure. Its real hard to play soft and dynamically. I would feel it before you buy it. There are alternatives I wished I checked out first. I know a few other people who feel the same way about it. Not trying to put the guys gear down, just a try before you buy warning.
Man I got the same mic a Triton extreme and MPC2500. Cool setup you got. How does it all hook into your computer? Just through the digi interface or did you have another analog digital converter that I didnt notice? I am kind of not happy with just the 8 inputs on a digi 001 myself.
looking at the - thumbs down I assume that you thought I was hating LMAO nah pimp I got 2 studios... one for production and the other for mixing and mastering.. we only buy stuff that is needed for the job... we as trade or sell equipment
LaCIE Hard Drives are usually Samsung or Western Digital in the inside... so... The real difference is in FireWire400 or 800 port against USB2... and the cache of the drive
iHave the mbox 2 mini which has no midi in or out, and iWant to b able to hook it up to my mixer the roland vm3100, what should iDo, and are there any kind of adapters that go from midi to usb, rca, headphone jack, or something like that????
those newer mpcs have more features buti dont very much like the sound i rock the ol school mpc 3000 this shit must be old that equipment really aint shit and like ol boy said it dont matter how much shit cost or what you own its what you can do with it that counts
if i got a mpc2500, two turntables, a dj mixer, and i wanna hook em up w/ my laptop which i use reason and an 88 key midi keyboard... would i need to buy anything else? or would i be able to hook all that shit into my computer and use reason and mpc on cubase?
I need someones opinion. This guy is selling a computer for $2,500... it is a custom made Windows XP with 1,400 gigabytes, Protools 8 with every single plug-in and Acid 7.0 with every single plug-in. It's about a year old.... You think it's worth it?? I'm just using it to record, I ain't really into producing anymore.
@hitcreatormusic hey man. I'm being honest too but that dude is saying the right stuffs. I have no money or whatever but i know for sure that ignorance will never get you anywhere. It's all about how you can be self crtical of yourself. This is like the biggest mistake people make becoming a musician....
whutup dude, damn haters. dont trip on nobody, ever! my name is c-blunt. you can google me and find me everywhere. my myspace is cbluntmusic. anyway i got my own setup and started as a dj myself. so much respect for grinding and being where you at. keep doin it. cuz you know damn well we'll never stop. you seem like a cool cat, where ya at. im in LA. just recently did a song with an unreleased 2pac verse. we just gotta get his mom to approve it. aiight , holla
@Germ303 i didnt mean no disrespect before, i was just agreein wit u dat shit expensive. ay, but u should get da maschine, its only like 500 and its better
naw no bad mouthing anyways a lot of people use these computers here so its like 10 different mufuckas here using these shitz peace homie keep doing your thing
wtf...how does that condencer cost u 500...i got a c3 on which u can change pick up patterns, -10 db reduct, and low freq cut off, for 90$....thats wierd man
This was supposed to be a show-off of how expensive your gear was? Seriously? Expensive to YOU! Hahaha. Glad to see you're (kinda?) happy with your set up. You don't seem like you even know your own gear and just got it to sound cool ...I ..guess.
@richieb983 The guy's "showing off his gear" by basically saying he doesn't even know how to use it and saying he spent a ton of money (in his opinion) on this stuff. I'm definitely not the snob, or the one who doesn't know what he's talking about. Good for him for having his own little set up, but he's just naming prices on what he thinks everything is, then saying it sucks anyway. I mean, duh. Do some research on your setup before you buy it?
