yes memory has every thing, and games are state-based when having a good design. So, it would be inevitable to find way to change the state to something more advanced in the state machine.

That only works in the original initial japanese 1.0 version. You can technically still do it, but it requires opening the disc tray and tinkering with the console or disc is not allowed. Hardware manipulation is one of the things pretty much all speedruns ban. Not to mention doing it can damage the console or disc.

There are tools used to make the route initially, but when performing the run itself they arent used at all, doing so would be cheating

Yeah it can, but Gabumon gets less stats from Offense training and starts with Sonic Jab, which is weaker than Spit Fire my views seem to be the same as normal but ill keep that in mind :)

@@RaikouRTA Thanks for the prompt reply. His name is Pikasprey and he has a blue and yellow channel, on softlocks and glitches. I really want to go for WR for a full game run. Could you advise me on things I should look out for without major glitches? I'm still trying to perfect the golden poop slots without slowing.

@@Relvamon exciting!, i hope you stream your attempts, most people will shy away from going for top times in this game due to the slots and excessive RNG manipulation I guess i can just recommend watching the current record here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uR1NeRjIRYk.html and using it as a reference, keep in mind that 99% of the time if i do something in this that looks weird, its probably necessary to manipulate the rng, also this route will only work on the japanese version of the game, so doing the same things in english will require a new route and rng manipulation

i mention it in the video, but the glitch item i buy 66 of sets both Devimon and Metalgreymon as defeated so they aren't there anymore

Actually if someone knows the programming algorithm, he can exploit the game, because for example when pause button is pressed, then a fullscreen session is triggered, then after the pause glitch is triggered he can manipulate the in-game variable by exploiting value at shop and so on. So if you have ever made a game programming progress before, I am sure you will understand

My Digimon's Offense is glitched to around 40000, which doesn't do much for individual attacks but the finisher gets maxed out at 9999
